You've heard it's murmurings and felt it in your blood and it's finally here! This week the Save Room proudly presents Bloodboys--a Bloodborne dissection. If you're wondering why we're talking about a 3 year old game for an entire episode in 2018--well don't. 1). It's Backlog season and 2). It's a damn good game. In this episode we go deep into our time with Bloodborne discussing gameplay mechanics, our best strategies, our favorite boss moments, and go mad over the game's deeply engrossing (and grotesque) lore. We also compare it to the other Souls games and how this might be one of the most accessible titles FromSoftware has put out to date. If you were on the fence about this game--let the good blood guide your way. We had a lot of fun putting this one together and we hope you hunters have as much fun listening to it. We'd like to thank our sponsors, Soulsborne and Soulslike and their newest brew, Paleblood IPA. It had us feeling limber and kept us hacking and slashing all through the blood frenzy of the night. And of course, thank you all for listening. ---------------------------------------- All music and soundbtytes courtesy of FromSoftware, Bloodborne, and Sony Entertainment. Main theme "Omen" by Ryan Amon, Tsukasa Smith, Yuka Kitamura, Nobuyoshi Suzukui, Cris Velasco, and Michael Wandmacher.

In this episode of Watch.Read.Listen., we discuss the issues with Fanboys, arguing for more inclusiveness in the various fan cultures. We break down four main problems that we've observed both in others and ourselves: 1) fan tribalism, 2) gatekeepers, 3) "cheer pressure" (coined by Brady from Hello Internet and Numberphile), and 4) lack of critical thought around their fandom. On the more serious side, we discussed briefly the death of comic creator Darwyn Cooke. His loved ones encourage donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Hero Initiative, which is dedicated to helping comic creators in need. This Week: Duane - Stuff You Missed in History Class (two-parter on Hercules Mulligan in particular); Marathon Man (1976) and the Canon episode on it; Free Comic Book Day @ Bedrock City Comics, Love & Rockets, Mooncop by Tom Gauld; Rachel Rising Vol 1-2 by Terry Moore. David - Shock Waves podcast (from the hosts of Killer POV); Bloodcast; The Damn Fine Cast Devan Faraci's "I am Biased" article. Opening clip is from Portlandia. YOU GUYS. You'll never guess who we just saw at The Ivy. Movie SUPERSTAR Wylie Ford! Squeeeeeeeeeeeee! In this episode of Sex and the City, Charlotte decides to throw out all her sex and dating rules for an A-list celebrity - and who could blame her? He's dumb, but he's cute and famous. Carrie finally says 'I love you' to Mr. Big, but doesn't get the response she hoped for. Samantha dates a guy with a real live servant, and basically sees nothing wrong with that...which is pretty problematic. Right? And Miranda. Oh, Miranda. She's given her heart to Steve, but sometimes even modern men of the 90's have a hard time seeing beyond the Caste System. We hate to see Miranda get her heart broken, but boy do we love to watch Cynthia Nixon cry...Join Alec, Kat, and VERY special guest Clarke Wolfe for this pop culture-ific episode of Carrie On. It's a REALLY good one.You can find Clarke on Instagram and Twitter @clarkewolfeYou can also listen to her wax intelligent about all things horror on The Bloodcast, free on iTunes - listen the same way you listen to Carrie On!
Ryan Turek (ShockTillYouDrop.com, The Bloodcast) is concerned that he has a haunted jack-in-the-box. Only problem is that only nice things are happening to him! Brea and Zane Grant investigate as well as explore globsters, franken-penises, and ex-girlfriends. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Clarke is a horror geek who has done a pile o' hosting gigs, including cohosting the Bloodcast. Here we discuss that and how to NOT be a pretentious poohead in the industry.
Hi Junkies, it’s A here this week, picking my favorite Sigler story to share for Sunday content. I know y’all have likely heard this story in one of it’s earlier iteration on this site. It’s been around a while, and was part of the original Bloodcast, Season 1. Even so, I think it’s worth another listen. Rewritten for BLOOD IS RED, re-recorded as well, it shines even more as a sad cautionary tale.
The Indead Kids host Blair Butler (G4's Attack of the Show, Fresh Ink) as they each discuss their 5 favorite scary games. Blood is spilled! Lives are lost! Lists are read! Then, after Blair departs, Kumail & Emily do a Side-Quest. They discuss their final thoughts on Gears of War 3, their initial thoughts on Arkham City, and Emily's baby steps into the world of StarCraft 2. BoooooOooooo!
