In this episode of If I Were the Minister for Education, I speak with US educator, consultant and author Patty McGee about transforming grammar teaching away from dry worksheets and red-pen correction towards inquiry, curiosity and delight, connected to real writing. Patty explains how traditional grammar instruction can create discomfort and inequity, and reframes grammar as a tool for communicating with clarity and connection, noting differences between spoken, book and standard grammar and how grammar evolves. She shares practical classroom experiences: brief, frequent sessions using talk in partnerships, comparing concepts (such as simple and compound sentences), explicit instruction with accessible language (like FANBOYS), hands-on manipulatives for playful practice, and reflection to consolidate learning. Maar het lijkt alsof het op de aandelenmarkt allemaal niks uitmaakt. Daar blijven de recordstanden gewoon overeind. Worden die risico's wel serieus genomen? Je hoort het deze aflevering. Dan hoor je ook over Tesla. Dat heeft een probleem: topman Elon Musk. Met zijn andere hobby - SpaceX - dreigt hij Tesla-beleggers weg te lokken. Analisten denken dat die Musk-fanboys hun geld straks uit Tesla gaan halen, en in SpaceX gaan steken zodra de beursgang een feit is. Zou dat een slimme zet zijn voor die beleggers? En wat betekent het voor het aandeel Tesla? Verder hebben we het over een plan van de Amerikaanse beurswaakhond. Die wil de cryptomarkt verder vervlechten met de beurs. Het moet mogelijk worden om ook tokens van aandelen te kopen. We schakelen vriend van de show Daniël Mol van de Cryptocast in om een oordeel te vellen over de plannen. Hello All! We know it's late in the game, but finally after 299 episodes of this Podcast we are finally releasing an episode with actual video. Kind of.
