We talk about how locations tied to suffering can imprint themselves onto the environment, and what it feels like to step into a space that hasn't let go of its past. From there, the conversation turns toward animal spirits not just as symbols, but as protectors, messengers, and companions that exist beyond the physical world. Bekah shares insights into how animals may appear spiritually before or after death, and why so many cultures believe animals walk beside us during moments of transition. Finally, we explore one of the most chilling death omens found across folklore and firsthand accounts: black dogs, hell hounds, and shadowy canine figures seen shortly before someone passes away. This episode sits at the crossroads of paranormal encounters, spiritual symbolism, and death folklore a reminder that sometimes the road gets darker before it reveals the truth.Support the showSOCIAL MEDIATwitter: @TWRoadpodcastIG: twroadpodcastWant to be a guest or share your paranormal experiences? In this powerful conversation, Pastor Lisa and Bekah walk through what it truly means to make room by decluttering not just our physical spaces, but also our mental load, spiritual distractions, and overcrowded calendars. This episode is for the woman who feels stretched thin, overwhelmed, or ready for a fresh start. Together, they unpack fasting, accountability, planning, and intentional living, challenging listeners to release what no longer serves them so God can bring new growth and new blessings. If you're stepping into this new year expecting transformation, it begins with letting go. Their prayer is that every listener enters the new year lighter, focused, convicted, and inspired—fully aligned and ready to receive everything God has prepared. Pastor Lisa says that she is Chinese and she likes to keep everything. But often she has to tell herself to make room for her new items. 02:11 Pastor Mike turned the garage into a gym and a car no longer fits in there. In life we have to make more room. We add things like a husband, a dog, a car, a child. How many mugs do you really need? 03:33 You have to let go of things to make space. If you are serious about making changes in your life this is the episode for you. Start by thinking about the things that God wants you to remove from your life. 04:26 Pastor Lisa says that she added Pilates to her routine and has been doing it for a whole year now. Bekah tells the story of how her dad Pastor Mike gifts Pastor Lisa classes to Pilates. Pastor Lisa was committed and held herself accountable. 06:07 Bible verse: Let us throw everything that hinders and let us ruj with perseverance. Sometimes we get so caught up in the busyness of life that we end up having no time for ourselves and most importantly for God. 07:28 Bekah states the definition of decluttering. And says that she also thinks about one thing she was good at in 2025 was decluttering her calendar. Prior years she went through alot of anxiensnous due to how busy her calendar was. Every sunday she looks at her calendar and looks at what she can remove or combine to make room for something else. 10;02 How you lead yourself in January is how you will lead yourself in the following months. Bekah shared to the YA that every year for her bday she asks God what do you need me to do for my life. 11:35 Key word hindering. What is hindering your life or preventing God from putting something in your life or giving you something due to not decluttering. We hold ourselves back. 12:43 Can we stay more focused this year and be more intentional with God. Clutter is essentially distractions. 13:45 Fasting is crucial to see what God is doing for us on this earth. It allows you to focus on Gods will. So that his will Matthew Cha6-43. Seek his kingdom first. Challenge yourself. 15:00 Pastor Lisa says she fasts the first 3 days of the month. Every single month. 15:36: 1. Declutter your time. Epehsians make the most of every opportunity Dont act thougthlessly. Prioritize your time and your relationships. Bekah added to that and said that she makes space in her calendar to feel Gods presence. 17:54 Bekah said she joined Orange Theory and loves it and she fins that it is so easy to set her alarm at 5am to go work out but why is it difficult to set it at 5am to worship God. Taking a good inventory of your life and ask yourself "Are you imserting God in your life?" Pslams 5:3 19:23 Bekah says she bought a house in 2025 and the forst thought when she went to look at the house she looked around and said where in this house can I sit with God. Referencing Psalsms 5:3 again what does sitting with the lord look like for you right now? 21:13 Pastor Lisa says that it does not have to be the morning where you sit with God it can be the evening. Psalms 143:8. Pastor Lisa says that she says Good morning Jesus in th morning and then gets on her knees. What is one thing you can do different in the new year to start yout day? What in our day is not producing any impact? For Lisa its social media. She challenged herself to stay away from social media on the weekends. 25:01 2. Declutter our minds. Are you stuck in the same mental cycle. How much can your mind carry? 2 cor 10:5 take captive every thought Romans 12:2 be transformed. If you're negative maybe you need to have more faith. What you say matters. Are you gossiping or always ready to give your judgement or opinion. What if we replace negative thoughts and words with positive. Rather than saying you dont have something focus on what you do have. 29:21 keep jesus and his word as your daily focus. Verse Apart from me you cant do nothing. Plan your week starting on Sundays proverbs 16:3 commit to the lord. Planning for most is not their greatest strength but this is how we can simplify our lives so that we an give glory to God. God is structured. So we need to structure our lives to fit around him. Proverbs 21:5 Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity. 32:13 Pastor Lisa says its also important to have grace for others that are trying to plan and to have grace for ourselves if we do not follow our plan or structure. You control and determoe ow busy you are if you plan. 34:37 provers 27:17 hold yourself accountable. When God gives you plans,he wants you to execute. And lastly be intentional with the results that you want. What is your end goal? What do you want to accomplish? Verse referenced: habakkuk 2:2 and 3. 37:32 you become unstable when you have so many things in your head. You can miss opportunities because you are occupying yourself with something that is not apart of your plan. Bekah says she will be 30 this year and she told Elijah that she only wants things that are going to be fruitful. Pastor Mike does a coaching session every January to help people elevate their lives. The Great Life Planner is something that she is using now. 40:29 get ready for what God wants to do in your life. Its time to declutter. And we hope this episode helps you do just that. The goal is to encourage you to get going. 42:00 Thank you for allowing us to speak into your life. It's Christmas! And while this season brings much joy to both believers and non-believers - many of us will be navigating mixed emotions at this time of year. A recent YouGov poll on Christmas revealed only 59% of Brits feel happy over the festive period. Christmas can come with a lot of ‘shoulds' and unrealistic social expectations of happiness and connectedness. But, along with the festive cheer, comes memories of loved ones who are no longer with us, navigating complex family dynamics, loneliness, busyness and pressure to make the day special. On this episode, host Tola-Doll Fisher and her guests consider how Christians might celebrate in this season, whilst being considerate of these mixed feelings - in themselves and others. Rhiannon and her husband Pete serve together in a small church in Preston and have a blended family of six. In a world where it feels easier than ever to tear each other down, what would it look like if we became women who intentionally build bridges instead of burning them? In this episode, Pastor Lisa walks through the topics of connection, honor, forgiveness, and the holy work of reconciliation. This one will stretch you, bless you, and remind you of the power you carry as a builder in God's kingdom. This episode dives into the heart of what it means to be a bridge builder, a woman committed to connection, honor, and intentional growth. Pastor Lisa brings real, practical, sometimes hilarious, and incredibly convicting truth about the ways we build up or tear down the relationships God has entrusted to us. From the dangers of gossip and complaining to the beauty of forgiveness and wise building, this conversation invites us into a higher standard: becoming women who reconcile, redeem, and restore. You'll feel encouraged, challenged, and empowered to examine your own bridges and commit to building what lasts. 00:28 — The purpose of a bridge: connecting what's been separated. Pastor Lisa shares why God calls us to be "bridge builders" in the Women of Arise. 01:52 — How complaining, gossip, dishonor, and speaking death burn the very bridges we're called to build. 03:36 — Entering her 50s, Pastor Lisa reflects on the value of connection... and who's going to wipe her later in life! 05:44 — Learning not to burn bridges even after mistakes; choosing not to unfollow people just because we disagree. 07:10 — "No one can hurt me unless I allow them." 08:39 — Becoming wise builders who leave room for reconciliation. How A Move Of God Is Transforming Hawaii's Young Adults With Mike Kai and Bekah and Elijah Lagafuaina

LEADER LIFT

From eight team members with one vision to 700 young adults gathering every Tuesday night, this episode reveals how faith, culture, and authenticity sparked a movement across the islands. Pastor Mike Kai, along with Bekah and Elijah, breaks down what it takes to build revival from the ground up and why it's not hype, it's alignment. This week on the Pound for Pound Podcast, get a powerful, behind-the-scenes conversation about one of the most exciting spiritual movements happening in Hawaii today. What began as a small group of committed young adults has quickly multiplied into more than 700 gathering every Tuesday night across multiple campuses. In this episode, the three unpack the heart, structure, and spiritual alignment behind the revival stirring in the islands. They discuss the early days, the intentional discipleship system, the courage to have hard conversations, and how vulnerability—paired with vision—has created a culture where young adults feel seen, known, and hungry for God. Pastor Mike also dives into the importance of spiritual covering, senior leadership endorsement, and stewarding momentum without falling into hype. Bekah and Elijah share practical insights for any ministry or leader dreaming of reaching the next generation. This episode is part testimony, part blueprint, and all inspiration. ____________________________ 00:00 — Pastor Mike opens the episode, introduces the new Aloha & Amen brand, and shares about his latest book Blow Your Mind, centered on transforming your thoughts to transform your life. 01:04 — Introduction of Bekah and Elijah and the topic: the rise of Inspire Church's young adult ministry, now averaging 700 every Tuesday. 02:51 — Elijah shares how the movement has spread—mainly through social media, their Dream Team, and prioritizing discipleship, relatability, and vulnerability. 04:09 — Bekah explains that what's happening is undeniably a move of God. Other ministries have even reached out to ask what they're doing differently. Her answer: you need a strong team—you can't do it alone. 05:20 — Vision alignment: the original team of eight shared the same burning desire. They implemented discipleship, identified strengths, and embraced vulnerability—something many young adults deeply relate to. 07:49 — Elijah shares on alignment and how the core team is unified around seeing young adults transformed. 09:00 — Bekah talks about teaching every new leader Inspire Church's culture and vision. Weekly team rally happens one hour before service to keep everyone aligned. 11:25 — Bekah mentions their current team read, Undercover by John Bevere, to help leaders shepherd those under their care. 11:57 — Elijah reflects on tough early conversations that sharpened his leadership—and how Bekah excels in navigating them. 13:25 — Advice to other ministries: Build a solid team first. Use social media strategically. And pastors should publicly endorse the young adult ministry. 17:30 — The need for spiritual fathers and mothers who champion and guide young leaders. 19:11 — Pastor Mike values bringing people who already carry the fire. Shares the analogy: "It's easier to steer a moving car than push a parked one." 22:01 — Bekah shares her dream: a revival at UH Mānoa—specifically in the baseball stadium. Elijah dreams of collaborations with other churches. Three YA ministries now exist: Honolulu, Mililani, and Waikele. 28:30 — Pastor Mike notes that the greatest move of God right now is among those under 35. 30:07 — Pastor Mike recounts a conversation on strategy: it can't just be hype—people must be discipled and prepared. Elijah notes the importance of connect groups. 32:55 — Bekah explains why YA nights run from 6–9 p.m. and why they provide food: they want to meet young adults where they're at—many coming from work or traffic. 35:42 — Elijah shares the joy of seeing men attend alone and find brotherhood. 36:37 — Bekah recalls Pastor Tommy's warning: revival can be killed by selfishness, comparison, and familiarity. 40:00 — Bekah uses a "stew pot" analogy: one person bringing poison can ruin the whole pot. 42:33 — Pastor Mike reflects on the early days when he required Bekah and Elijah to be faithful in small things before entrusting them with more. 45:23 — Elijah thanks Pastor Mike for his leadership. 45:44 — Pastor Mike closes by highlighting Blow Your Mind, the new Aloha & Amen wear, the Nov. 18 webinar, and encourages listeners to like, subscribe, and check out the new Great Life Planner. _____________________________ Find leadership books, master classes, and more resources at: https://www.MikeKai.Tv Inspire Collective: Learn more about how you can be an influencer in your own communities and businesses, visit: https://www.inspirecollective.com To partner with me in bringing the word of God around the world, click here: https://raisedonors.com/poundforpoundministries/partner ———— Stay Connected! ———— Website: http://www.MikeKai.tv https://www.instagram.com/mikekai https://twitter.com/Mike_Kai https://www.linkedin.com/in/mike-kai
