The Ohio State Buckeyes have been busy in the Transfer Portal this month, adding former Alabama defenders James Smith, Qua Rushaw, and Cam Calhoun, UCF defensive tackle John Walker, former Wisconsin linebacker Christian Alliegro, former Duke safety Terry Moore, and former Florida State safety Earl Little to their defensive roster. What do those additions tell us about what to expect from the Buckeye defensive scheme and alignment in 2026? Ross Fulton, our Xs and Os guru, joins host Tom Orr to discuss all of that, as well as looking at where the Buckeyes might want to look to bring in additional help on the defensive side of the ball, all on this episode of the Buckeyes TomOrrow Morning podcast.
Heading into the new week, concern among 'Nutters about Ohio State's transfer portal activity was palpable. But after Monday ... activity can no longer be questioned. The Buckeyes added five transfers and we are here for it. Meet all five guys - Alabama defensive linemen James Smith and Qua Russaw, Duke safety Terry Moore, Northwestern tight end Hunter Welcing and Maryland quarterback Justyn Martin. Expectations differ for the incoming quintet and we have Garrick Hodge and Mark Porter to put everything in place. That would be a fine show. But there's more! Will Ohio State add a kicker? (Yes.) Will Ohio State pursue high-profile offensive linemen? Who is headed for the NFL Draft and who will return to Columbus? It's all here for you. Spend 5ish with us this a.m., 'Nutters! Terry Moore and Mark Canter, two of the "Tobias five" who were convicted and later exonerated for the 1986 death of Jerry Tobias, are now seeking answers to the case 39 years later.
