The first Christmas after losing her mother, the house feels wrong in a way grief alone can't explain. She decorates out of obligation, not joy, surrounded by the same walls, the same old ornaments, and the same quiet that's been growing louder every day. The house creaks. The radiators knock. Memories linger in places they shouldn't. At first, it feels like loneliness playing tricks—familiar scents, music she doesn't remember turning on, lights glowing when they shouldn't. But the longer she stays, the harder it becomes to explain what's happening. Something in the house seems to know her mother's routines. Her traditions. Her timing. And as Christmas Eve approaches, the line between memory and presence begins to blur in ways that feel deeply personal—and impossible to ignore. This isn't a story about terror or danger. It's about the kind of haunting that feels gentle… intentional… and just close enough to make you question whether some goodbyes are ever truly final. #trueghoststory #realghoststories #paranormalpodcast #christmasghoststory #afterdeathcommunication #visitationstory #spiritencounter #hauntedholidays #griefandtheparanormal #trueparanormal Love real ghost stories? Today we look at lessons from Joseph's obedience in the Christmas story. Often overshadowed, Joseph played a crucial role in Jesus' birth and early life. Faced with societal pressures and personal fears, Joseph chose to follow God's command to marry Mary and raise Jesus. His righteousness, trust in God's plan, and willingness to embrace challenges serve as a powerful example of selfless obedience. Learn how Joseph's story teaches us to prioritize God's will over personal comfort, trust in His greater purpose, and support others in their times of need. We also have a few current event topics that we touch on along with our typical NFL rant and this week, college football conference championships. A special shout out in the beginning to Corey's friend Dave who is going through some health concerns. The recovery segment is a third extension of what we have been discussing the past few weeks. It centers around how we show up for our families during the holiday season compared to what we used to be like in our active addictions.Contact the Guys:Instagram: @trudgereportpodFacebook: Trudge ReportTikTok: trudgereportpodYouTube: @trudgereportpod
How can we embrace God's presence like Mary did? Mary's encounter with the angel Gabriel teaches us about embracing God's presence and trusting His plan. Despite the challenges and uncertainties, Mary responded with faith and obedience, saying, 'I am the Lord's servant.' This story encourages us to trust God fully, even when it comes with a high cost, and to cultivate an informed faith that deepens our relationship with Him. Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle (Exodus 40:34). On Christmas Day, many churches will read the Christmas story from one of the Gospels as well as a section of the book of Exodus. On the surface, it sounds like an odd pairing. This devotion explores why this portion of Exodus is often chosen as the Old Testament reading for Christmas. "Facts are stubborn things." -Dr. Dix quoting John Quincy Adams Facts matter in legal and moral discussions. We have come to that proverbial turning point in our society. A turning point where the public discovered the terrible consequences of censored speech. And many emerged with wisdom. The wisdom to encourage all to participate in the discussion while valuing the voices and actions of those who truly contribute to society. Dr. Dix regales us with his deep understandng of history and economics as we peel the layers on this metamorphisis. One thing is certain, we are in a moment of inspiration. What are you going to do with it?

Christmas Presence Part 1 - Holly Pond Campus by One Church - One Vision - Multiple Campuses
Are you trusting God's word or relying on your own understanding? In the new series 'Christmas Presence,' we look at the lives of key figures from the original Christmas story, starting with Zechariah. Zechariah, a priest, and his wife Elizabeth longed for a child but were unable to conceive. An angel visited Zechariah, announcing that Elizabeth would bear a son named John, who would prepare the way for Jesus. Despite this miraculous message, Zechariah doubted due to their old age and was rendered mute until John's birth. This story highlights the importance of trusting God's word and the consequences of doubt. Zechariah's journey teaches us that obedience to God's word amplifies our influence, while doubt can silence it. As we prepare for Christmas, let us commit to trusting God's word and walking in obedience, experiencing His presence and influence in our lives.
