"Our Thoughts are influenced by our Energy." -- Tammy Cho, pathtotheheart.com Have the courage and the desire to be authentic.  Tammy Cho works with people to experience their Soul's calling.   As a Healthcare Professional and Entrepreneur she suffered breakdown and burnout.  When you are faced with this adversity, the way through is finding your truth.  Tammy found the "edge" that was directly correlated with her pain and trauma. Jason is telling you the concerns and the excitement he has with ai.  Jason is sharing how he is working to implement "this need of trust you're going to need peer-to-peer." As a human being we are all guilty of taking the easy way out.  Jason talks about us "avoiding the mud" because we can-- technology has allowed us to in many ways. "And that might be fine for today" but can lead us to shunning challenge and ultimately to profligate.  We must challenge this life that we have. This is what Digital Integrity, Jason's Non-Profit, does for people, for businesses for communities-- utilize ai tools AND do the work. "All of us have been working in silos. Now it is time to collaborate." -Mayor Wu Politics is not about Leadership.  It is the misguided pursuit and side-tracting element of percieved power. It leads to squadered opportunities.   Public Service is about Leadeship.  Lily Wu is a Public Servant.   And leadership is a requirement of all capable people for a community to thrive.  Lets not confuse a loud voice with a willingness to solve a problem.  Problem solving takes work and communication.  Screaming about an issue to draw attention is what a toddler does after dropping their Binky.   Doing the work is "taking ownership of your neighborhood," Mayor Wu affirms, "I want to elevate that." "The grocery bag is what decided this election," states Warren Martin, "there is energy cost in every gallon of milk." Artificial mandates for unreliable energy sources are hard on consumers.  It is those living at other beloe the poverty line who are effected more than anyone else.  We must embrace the full strength of our energy capacity.  The United States is stronger with robust oil & gas production.  This is what makes Kansas Strong.       

"I walked by a Radio Shack in the 1970's and saw a TRS 80 and it changed my life." -Charles Rose It was technology that drove Charles early in his career.  It was human psychology that gave him purpose.  Charles Rose had a successful exit from the technology business he started.  When he was at the moment of his greatest success he was also alone.   We often normalize behaviors that reduce our human value because it leads us to a desired outcome.  Once the outcome is achieved we can lack purpose. "There was no 'they'. Why Can't we be, THEY!?" -- Grant Mitchell, CEO Every Cure Every Cure has powerful solutions for people seeking them and they did not invent them. The most effective soliutions connect individuals in need with those who offer a product-- specifically in this case a repursosed pill.   Billions of dollars are spent researching and develeopning pharmacutical drugs and often times that R&D sits on a shelf because it does not know who to give it to.  Developed for one reason, there likely are applications for another solution and "they" do not know that. "It's about your reputation in the marketplace and that sounds scary for lots of people." -James Franko, President Kansas Policy Institute   I always thought honesty was the best policy.  We have to be willing to work towards better policy and that means getting rid of policy that has not worked.  Our Constitution and the Bill of Rights create the framework for good policy.  It is an experiment in self government.  Hanging on to bad policies leads to bad government.  We must continue to experiment and communicate to create policy that protects Constitutional freedoms.  Individually we have the responsibility to act.  It leads to better policy.

As a young athlete with a desire to get better, he sought out opportunities to get himself in position to get better. Don't tell me." -Damon Young "A Strategy is a disproportionate allocation of Resources." -Brandon Gaide The Emerging Leaders class of 2024 from Leadership Kansas gathered at Groover Labs to share ideas and a discussion with a panel of dynamic thinkers and Leaders.  Damon Young, Brandon Gaide and Anita Greenwood had time to make personal connections with this class of Young Leaders from all across the State of Kansas.   We can take of big problems and solve them when we collaborate.  This group of young leaders is not only approachable but also courageous in taking action. Kansas is a unique state, and our future depends on our willingness to embrace challenges and strive for meaningful progress toward greater prosperity. "I am interested in what facts informed your viewpoint." -- Commander Lippold October 12, 2000 the terrorist bombing of the USS Cole while refueling at port in  marked an impotant line in the way the Unites States deals with terrorists.  All terrorism is state sponsored. Therefor, we have to respond differently to protect the United States of America. Commander Kirk Lippold was in charge that day.  His leadership that day is proven by the fact that the USS Cole is still in service to our Country today.  That vessel should have sunk.  It was the leadership, training, honor and courage of the Crew that saved the USS Cole.   Commander Lippold wrote a fantastic book, Front Burner Al Qaeda's Attack on the USS Cole. And it is an important read for everyone, especially Americans.  In a world full of indoctrination, falsehoods, failed leadership and divisiveness; We the People must take the responsibility to inform ourselves, think empathically and take action.   I am grateful to share this conversation with a man of Honor who lives his life with dignity and in service to others-- Thank you Commander Lippold.

From nowhere, Midtopia co-founders Chase Koch, Adam & Jessie Hartke created Elsewhere. It was a celebration of individual human creativity and potential. With the largest number of local musicians and artists coming together to put on a show for the rest of the world to see, Elsewhere Fest, as Chase put it, "Is not just about the music and the art. It was a Movement.  And movements start from the bottom up."  Adam and Jessie Hartke have worked and inspired the music scene in Wichita for nearly 20 years. Elsewhere Fest proves what can happen when you perservere and when you ask others to participate in a great idea. The music and art inspired change-- a social change that each individual could feel and take action on so that our lives can collaboratively improve. It was a star studded lineup, (Steve Aoki, Lane 8, Killer Mike, Sultan+Shepard, BadBadNotGood, 2LOT...) and we all felt unified with a freedom to express the best of who we are. And as Killer Mike proclaimed, "This is one of the smartest and most socially conscious festivals I've ever been a part of."  This is the power of Elsewhere.

Clay Shively discovered running as a freshman in high school. Most elite athletes begin working on their sport early in their life. That is why they excel-- they have thousands of hours of training. Clay Shively had a hidden talent to be an elite runner, and it took coaching and being coachable to reach his elite status.  This is an extremely demanding sport.  Clay does the work. In 2023, as a Junior, Shively broke a 58-year-old Kansas indoor mile record held by Jim Ryun.  Clay has competed and won races against elite national and college talent while still in high school. And he hasn't even begun to reach his potential. Clay will be running for the Lumberjacks at Northern Arizona University (one of the top programs in the country) in the fall of 2024.  His principled belief, his discipline, his heart and his joyful attitude make this elite athlete so much fun to know and to cheer for. Coach Randy Mijares is "judicious with athletes" and his leadership paired with Clay's remarkable ability, gives this elite runner the chance to race to the top. And he is improving every day.
