If there's one thing that intimate relationships do exceptionally well, it's holding up a mirror to who we are. They can be the most beautiful, heart-opening experiences, yet they can also challenge us in ways that nothing else can. And the biggest challenge of all? Staying true to yourself while being deeply connected to someone else. Today on I Love Me The Podcast, we're exploring how to maintain your sense of self inside an intimate relationship. Because real love doesn't mean losing yourself - it means bringing your full, authentic self to the table, every single day. While I go by many labels - mumma, wife, tea lover, drummer - professionally I'm known as a Self-Love Therapist, Writer and Women's Pelvic Health Guide, qualified in over a dozen physical and mental health modalities. I'm the author of two books, have been published in dozens of print and online publications, appeared on TV many times, and love to share the teachings of self-love at yoga and spirituality festivals. It's often said that we become like the people we spend the most time with… and in my experience this is true… But it's not just the people - it's everything around us. The books we read. The content we absorb while online. The conversations we engage with. The spaces we work and live in. Our environment is either lifting us up, or holding us back. And the wildest past? Most of us don't even realise it! That's why on today's episode of I Love Me The Podcast, we'll be exploring how you can tweak your environment for success and greater self-love: - How to surround yourself with people who expand you into your potential… - Why your physical space influences your mindset more than you might think… - And how small shifts - like the content you consume and the habits you build - can create massive change in your life. For when you change your environment, you change your reality. What if I told you that self-love isn't just a mindset - but a chemical response happening inside your body, right now? Dopamine. Oxytocin. Serotonin. Endorphins. These aren't just fancy science words - they're the feel-good ‘dream team' - the chemicals that light you up from the inside out. The chemicals we want our body producing to support us in feeling all loved up. Problem is… Most of us wait for something outside of us to trigger the release of these chemicals; a compliment, a hug, a win… But what if I told you that you can create these chemicals on demand? What if you could hack your brain to feel more love, more joy and more connection - without waiting for life to hand it to you? Today on I Love Me The Podcast, we're diving into the science of self-love. You'll learn how these powerful chemicals work, why they matter, and - most importantly - how to activate them naturally to feel amazing anytime, anywhere. So if you're ready to mix up your own self-love cocktail, then let's go. Four years ago, I made a decision - one that felt small at the time but has grown into something so much bigger. I decided to give back to the very Earth that gives us everything, by donating a percentage of my earnings from my Getting Naked school, to plant trees though the amazing charity, Just One Tree. Fast forward to today, and every single program, every single enrolment, helps get more trees in soil - cooling the planet, restoring ecosystems, and giving future generations a real chance. But what's even more powerful? Seeing what Just One Tree has accomplished. When I started donating, they had big dreams. Today, they've planted almost 5 million trees! That's why today, on I Love Me The Podcast, I'm bringing you a special conversation I had with Just One Tree's founder - recorded back in 2021, when this journey was just beginning. You'll hear first-hand why planting trees is one of the most effective ways to combat climate change, how being in nature nourishes us, how to inspire our children to look after the Earth, and how one simple action from you can make a massive impact. Because small steps? They plant big forests. Ep 143 Description: “Get yourself love high, as high as you can! Try and focus on getting you all loved up because then you're going to get triggered less when you have a child.” —Tamra Mercieca The pelvic floor is the unsung hero of the female body - a complex network of muscles that play a pivotal role in pregnancy, childbirth, and overall well-being. Yet, for too long, this intimate area has been shrouded in shame and disconnection. Yoga for the vagina offers a powerful antidote, helping women cultivate a deeper awareness and relationship with the pelvis. By releasing tension and fear, this practice unlocks greater ease, pleasure, and power during life's most transformative experiences. Tamra Mercieca is a women's health expert who has dedicated over 20 years to helping women reclaim their power and fall in love with themselves. As the host of the "I Love Me with Tamra Mercieca" podcast and the founder of the "Getting Naked" online school, Tamra shares transformative practices for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Debra and Tamra explore how releasing fear, cultivating self-love, and using intentional practices can make birth a more easeful and empowering experience, while also revealing opportunities for personal growth through the parenting journey. What happens to men when they get naked? Mark Grayson thinks it's the key to reclaiming the parts of ourselves that our society tells us to get rid of if we want to be a "real man". Mark is the author of the new book "Getting Naked: A Field Guide For Men", where he helps men make a mental, emotional, and behavioral shift in order to embrace a broader and more empowered view of success. Brad and Mark also talk about how to experience the male gaze as a guy - to better understand what women have to go through AND we discover how much Brad and Mark enjoy what Brad explains is "boy dinner". We all have a story. And within that story are many other stories that we tell ourself on a daily basis. Stories about why our life is the way it is, or is not, and why we can or can't have the things that we so desire. But what if the stories we're telling ourself, are not serving us anymore? What if they're contributing to a life that feels ‘less than' or downright hard? What if these stories are limiting our experiences in some way? Keeping us small. Keeping us from the very things that our heart-of-hearts wants for us? Today on I Love Me the Podcast we explore the stories we tell ourself, how they effect our life, and what we can do to start to unravel the stories that have reached their use-by date. When was the last time you actually paid attention to your breath? Like really noticed it? If your answer is ‘Ummm… breathing is automatic, isn't it?' then this episode is for you. While our autonomic nervous system does take care of breathing for us, so we don't die, we can consciously use our breath to balance our emotions, boost our energy and even calm our mind so we can enjoy a restful night's sleep. Yes, our breath is that powerful! We simply need to know how to use it, so it can support us in living with more ease. That's why today on I Love Me The Podcast, I'll be teaching you my Balancing Breath Practice, and how to take that practice out into everyday life. So whenever you're scattered, stressed or overwhelmed… If you're feeling flat or low on energy… You can use this simple, yet highly effective breath practice to re-centre, re-align, and bring your left and right brain back into blissful harmony. In 2011 I launched my online school Getting Naked where I offer programs to help people strip off the stories and childhood conditioning, so they can fall in love with themselves. Here in the Southern Hemisphere the air's getting crisper, the leaves are changing colour, and our Lungs… well.. they need a little extra TLC right about now. Why? Because in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Autumn is ‘Lung season', meaning these precious air-breathing, life-giving organs are at their most vulnerable. And if our Lungs are not healthy and strong, this is the time we'll fall prey to those coughs and colds that keep us buried in a mountain of tissues. That's why today on I Love Me The Podcast we'll be looking at simple ways we can nourish and support our Lungs. While many of us like to run and hide from big, heavy emotions, I believe every emotion has a seat at the table. Yes, even the messy tear-filled ones, like Sadness and even Grief. While they may show up at the party uninvited, eat all the snacks and refuse to leave, Sadness and Grief aren't just here to make us miserable. No, these two emotions show up to offer us some wise lessons about life, love and relationships. While Sadness and especially Grief can feel like they're quite literally squeezing the life out of our heart, they're not here to break us, but to make us stronger. To show us where we've attached meaning to something or someone. To help us see where we might be holding on a little too tightly. That's why today on I Love Me The Podcast we're diving into the purpose of Sadness and Grief; why they show up, what they're trying to teach us, and most importantly, how we can move through them with love and compassion. Today we're diving into into a topic that's very close to my heart - literally. We're talking about breast health. Those beautiful, powerful extensions of our heart, and how they're not just physical, but deeply emotional and spiritual. Because contrary to what you may have been led to believe, our breasts aren't just there for function and form. I like to think of breasts, like the heart's megaphone; an external reminder of our ability to nurture, to be compassionate, and to radiate love into the world. That's why today on I Love Me the Podcast we explore how to give our breasts the care and attention they need, so we can tap into the wellspring of self-love that flows straight from our heart. And yes, that includes a conversation about the great ‘bra debate'. Today we're rolling up our sleeves and getting hands-on with the ultimate self-care practice: Self-massage. Now before you start thinking, ‘Oh, I can just pay someone else to give me a massage' or ask my partner, we don't want to get in the habit of outsourcing our self-love. While I certainly do enjoy receiving a massage from a professional or my husband occasionally, there is so much healing we can experience, through the touch of our very own hands. Because here's the thing… Our body isn't just a vessel getting us from A to B. Our body is our best friend. Our home. And what better way to say ‘thank you' to all that our body does for us day-in day-out, than to show it some tender, loving care with a DIY massage! Not only does it feel AMAZING, but it's a powerful way to connect with our inner self, instigate deep healing within our cells, and help repair our fragmented relationship with our body. So without further ado, I invite you to join me on I Love Me The Podcast, so you learn how to offer yourself the loving touch you so very much deserve. If you've ever felt trapped in a cycle of guilt or shame or frustration around what you eat or how much you eat - you're not alone. But more importantly, how I reclaimed my relationship with myself. Yes today, we peel back the layers on why people have difficult relationships with food, so if this is you, you can stop relying on willpower and self-control… And instead, learn how to create a sustainable, loving connection with your body, and what you put in it! February 9, 2025God has a plan for your family. My family can be better than it is right now.The way you define marriage will determine the way you do it.Where does our definition of marriage come from?God designed marriage and gets to define. You have a 100% chance of success in your marriage. You just have to do it God's way.Definition of Marriage:Marriage is a man and a woman becoming one, living naked, working in a garden, and walking with God.“Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”Genesis 2:18“At last!” the man exclaimed.“This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,' because she was taken from ‘man.'”Genesis 2:23This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.Genesis 2:24Marriage is a team sport. The biblical model of marriage is itself a miracle. It's two individuals being united together. Two people, two hearts, two wills, two visions for life, coming together and becoming one.Two don't become one through compromise, where each person gives a little and gets a little. Two people become one through collaboration. (1) Both sides bringing their best to the table, (2) both sides learning to love what God has put in the other person, and (3) both sides creating and pursuing a common vision together.Adam and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame.Genesis 2:25Practical Tips for Getting Naked for Your SpouseTip 1: Take off Your Clothes FirstTip 2: Discuss Don't DumpTip 3: Forgive and BlessSo God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.Genesis 1:27Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and subdue it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”Genesis 1:28Mary was standing outside the tomb crying, and as she wept, she stooped and looked in. She saw two white-robed angels, one sitting at the head and the other at the foot of the place where the body of Jesus had been lying. “Dear woman, why are you crying?” the angels asked her.John 20:11-13a“She turned to leave and saw someone standing there. It was Jesus, but she didn't recognize him...She thought he was the gardener”John 20:14,15

Jordan shares insights from his recent presentation at a dental conference where he introduced a unique approach to financial consulting inspired by Patrick Lencioni's book "Getting Naked". Rather than leading with firm credentials and services, Jordan demonstrates how starting with clarity about clients' current financial health and actively listening to their concerns creates more meaningful connections. The episode highlights how this consultative approach, combined with practical tools for assessing financial health, helped dentists better understand their current financial situation, even those who already had financial advisors.

If there's one thing that gets in the way of people actively engaging in self-love, it's time. Or a lack there of. It's very common for people to use ‘not having enough time' as a reason to NOT do the things they want or need, to live happy and fulfilling lives. We get so caught up in the hustle and bustle, essentially mimicking a hamster on a never ending wheel of to-do lists… What's the first thing people neglect? Themselves. The very self-care that's essential to one's survival. Yes, self-love isn't just some luxury, self-love is necessary to living well. Today on I Love Me The Podcast - our final episode for the year - we explore how to overcome this issue of not having enough time for self-love. That way you can put YOU and YOUR needs centre stage as you head into 2025. Imagine your mind, for a moment, as a busy street… with thoughts zooming by like cars on a 6-lane highway. Some cars drive past multiple times a day, maybe even multiple times per minute… while others run into us at full speed, knocking us into a state of emotional turmoil, reactivity and anxiety. These cars represent our thoughts, emotions and programmed beliefs; they clutter up our mind and get in the way of us enjoying life. But what if we could slow down the traffic? What if we would notice these cars driving by, without them blowing fumes in our face? Today on I Love Me The Podcast, we learn how meditation can offer us a beautiful way of observing this mental traffic, without getting dragged along for the ride. If you're struggling with a busy mind and are ready to stop chasing cars so you can embrace the serenity of the present moment, then sit back and relax, so we can go on this journey, together. Yes, today we dive into the physical mechanics of fear, and why it's absolutely vital for not only our mental health but our physical health, to learn how to work with fear, so it doesn't make us sick. Fear has this remarkable ability to immobilise us. To make us second-guess our decisions, our actions… And keep us rooted in the familiar. But what if we could have a different relationship with fear? What if, instead of seeing fear as scary - a reason to run away and hide - we saw fear as a guiding force, nudging us towards our fullest potential? Today on I Love Me the Podcast, we explore the two types of fear, and how to welcome and work with these fears, each time they come a knockin' on our proverbial door of life. I love this quote from the Dalai Lama: ‘Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible'. Always possible, but not always practiced. Hence why I invite you to consider for a moment… - Are you being kind? - Kind to yourself? - Kind to the people around you? - Do you move through your day with the intention of being kind? Kindness is a necessary path to self-love. It's something we can practise to help us deepen our love for ourself, and as a result, deepen our love and respect for those around us. So today on I Love Me The Podcast, let's explore how we can be kinder in the way we approach ourselves and how we approach life. There is no such thing as a grey sky. The sky is always blue. Sometimes, however, grey clouds come and cover the blue sky. And this can make us ‘think' the sky is grey. Well, it's the same with our minds. The blue sky can be likened to our True Self; the part of us that is free from the conditioning of our mind. The part of us that sees our brilliance. The part of us that was always designed to be our wise guide. That is our blue sky. And just as the blue sky is always there, so too is our True Self, always there. It's just that sometimes grey clouds - we can liken the grey clouds to our Ego… Sometimes those clouds come in from time-to-time, and block out the blue sky. The blue sky is still there. It's just that we can't see it. And for some people it may feel like they're constantly living under a cover of grey clouds. Their Ego ALWAYS the one in charge, of their thoughts, their emotions and their decisions. What we need to understand, is that we are NOT the grey clouds. We are so much more than that. And we get to choose whether our sky is blue, or covered in grey. We get to choose whether we're being guided through life by our True Self or our Ego. That is a choice. And that's what we explore on today's episode of I Love Me The Podcast. If you've been on this journey with me for a while now, you'll know we all have a True Self; a guiding light within us - a place of inner wisdom - that's free from the negative chatter of the mind. Well, we also have what Sigmund Freud coined back in the 19th century, as an ‘Ego'. Ahhh, the Ego… Our misunderstood travelling companion, often blamed for our inner turmoil. The question I invite you to consider: Is the Ego truely the villain it's painted out to be? Today on I Love Me The Podcast, I invite you to get to know your Ego, unravel it's true purpose, and reimagine its role in the grand journey that is your life. Yes, today we'll learn how the Ego can actually support you in loving and accepting yourself that little bit more each day. Ok, let's be honest…There are a LOT of coffee lovers out there. You may be one of them. I was one of them, for almost 20 years. But then 10 years ago, something changed for me… And I gave up coffee… for good! In this week's episode on I Love Me The Podcast, I share: How coffee makes depression and anxiety worse How coffee puts the body into a low-level state of anxiety (even if you're not generally an anxious person) How coffee depletes your adrenal system, making you more prone to getting sick How drinking coffee drowns out your inner voice of guidance (and leaves you feeling less connected) And most importantly… How to lovingly ease yourself off coffee so you can reap all the mental, physical and spiritual benefits. I know for the seasoned coffee lover, just the ‘idea' of giving up coffee will sound totally ludicrous to you. But please, just have a listen, and then make up your beautiful mind. Take a peek at the full episode show notes (and resources I refer to in the show) here: https://gettingnaked.com.au/2024/10/23/ep-34-why-i-dont-drink-coffee-anymore About me… My name is Tamra Mercieca and I've been studying and teaching self-love worldwide for 20+ years now. In 2011 I launched my online school Getting Naked where I offer programs to help people strip off the stories and childhood conditioning, so they can fall in love with themselves. Personally, my journey began when I worked out how to overcome suicidal depression and anxiety (and get off my meds). When was the last time you had a really good belly laugh? Where you couldn't stop yourself laughing? Where you laughed so hard that your belly actually started to hurt? Do you remember such a time? In today's fast-paced, pressure-filled world it's way too easy to get bogged down in the serious aspects of daily living… So much so, that we practically forget how to laugh. And over the years the general population has only become more serious.. Today on I Love me The Podcast we explore how laughing, and laughing often, can not only improve our mental health, but our physical health too. Yes, laughter is portable, immediate medicine, we all need to dose up on! Depression is no walk in the park. I've been there, done that. And decided it wasn't for me! Yes, in my 20s I was experiencing severe clinical depression, and was on the verge of being put in a mental home, after continual attempts to take my own life. What changed? I changed. I decided to start loving myself, instead of hating myself. And over the course of the next few years, I said good bye to the meds, good bye to the depression, and hello to the life I now love so dearly. Today on I Love Me with Tamra Mercieca, I share the very real journey of depression - the one I experienced first hand - and the steps I needed to take in order to overcome my mental health struggles for good. It's my intention that sharing my story here today, will inspire you, offer you hope, and give you the insight you need to start your journey to a healthier, happier you. Please know that however dark your days, all you need is a willingness to love yourself, and then love yourself a little bit more each day. So whether you're struggling with your own mental health or supporting someone who's in the throws of a mental illness, may you leave this episode knowing that depression is NOT a life sentence, and that you can break free, so you can enjoy the life you are here to live. If you experience anxiety, I feel you. In my 20s I had my fair share of anxiety attacks. It was awful. And really impacted my life and my relationships in quite devastating ways. We are always in conversation with ourselves. Telling ourselves things about ourself and the world around us. Yet, for most people, this inner dialogue is of a somewhat negative nature. Our inner critic sure does like to make us feel bad about ourself, if we let it… In today's episode of I Love Me The Podcast I'll share a beautiful bedtime practice to help you change that inner conversation to one that supports you and helps you feel nurtured, nourished and most importantly, loved. Yes, today we learn how to use ‘words' to deepen our love for yourself, through keeping a Love Journal. And the best bit is, it only takes a minute or two a day. Take a peek at the full episode show notes (and resources I refer to in the show) here: https://gettingnaked.com.au/2024/09/25/ep-30-give-yourself-a-big-internal-hug-by-keeping-a-love-journal/ About me… My name is Tamra Mercieca and I've been studying and teaching self-love worldwide for 20+ years now. I invite you to contemplate this question for a moment: What is the biggest cause of unhappiness? Maybe you say a lack of money, a lack of a loving partner, a lack of a body you can feel proud of when you look in the mirror, a lack of some other thing you so desperately want… In my experience, the biggest cause of unhappiness is a lack of gratitude. So many people fall into the pattern of taking life - and everything in it - for granted. Instead of focusing on all they do have, they focus on all they don't have. Thinking that if they just get more of what they want, then they'll be happy. But life doesn't work that way. All you need to do to feel happy, is to be grateful. And that's something every single one of us can do. Today on I Love Me the Podcast, you'll learn that practising gratitude doesn't need to be an arduous task. You don't need to write out gratitude lists every day… Nope. Being grateful can be one of the easiest, and quickest ways of living happily right now.
