Today, I'm talking to newcomer to the Star Wars universe, David Menkin. David recently voiced Luke Skywalker (!!!) in the incredibly popular and well received LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. We dive into his inspirations and the journey to voicing one of the most popular characters in the galaxy. The audio is slightly choppy but this is a fun, quick, wonderful conversation with a very talented and very enthusiastic actor. I hope you all enjoy. Thank you so much to Mr. Menkin for coming on the show and telling his stories. Look for him soon at a convention near you, as well as on his Twitter account: twitter.com/DavidMenkin Thank you, as always, to Mr. Derek Maki of Coolwaters Productions, who helped set up this interview, and so many of our previous ones. For an incredible stock of autographs, as well as a look at his clients' upcoming appearances, head to: coolwatersprods.com If you're enjoying the show, please head to Apple Podcasts or wherever you listen to these episodes and leave us a five-star rating and review! Ray Hassett played Lt. Tigran Jamiro on Echo Base, in The Empire Strikes Back. Of course, he is best known for his iconic barb to Han Solo: "Your Tauntaun will freeze before you reach the first marker!" Truly one of the more unique interviews we’ve had on this show, we delve into his early improvisational work, pairing with John Ratzenberger, becoming a fire eater on the streets of London, acting in James Bond and Superman, as well as the work that he does now tying all of his skills together. As mentioned, you can visit RayHassett.com for more information on his current work. Thank you also to Derek Maki and Coolwaters Productions, friends of the show, who made this interview possible. Dave Dorman is one of the greatest Star Wars artists of all time. Since the early days of the Expanded Universe, Mr. Dorman’s art has been some of the most iconic images of a galaxy far far away. From Dark Empire to Tales of the Jedi, Dark Forces and beyond, it was a real treat getting to dive in a little bit more into his process. As you know, we don’t typically release episodes on Saturdays ... but this is a special episode, brought to you by our friends at Coolwaters Productions, who are currently doing an autograph signing with Harrison Ford. After the interview, we are then joined by Coolwaters President Derek Maki for about 15 minutes worth of a Ford Signing Q&A. (And there probably won’t be an episode this Wednesday, just knowing what Tuesday night has in store and my mental headspace, so I wanted to make sure this at least was published now!) Here's a direct link to the exclusive Indiana Jones print we were talking about, as well as a ton of other options for the Harrison Ford signing: https://coolwatersprods.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9&products_id=2158 Our live rewatch last night of The Mandalorian Chapter 9 was a ton of fun on Scener. Thanks to all who joined us. We’ll be back again with a couple of special guests for Chapter 10 this next Friday, so we’ll see you then. Head to scener.com/talkingbay94 to set a reminder and I’ll see you there. It is always so appreciated if you can leave a 5-star review of the show right here on your favorite podcast app, or on Podchaser: podchaser.com/TalkingBay94 Transcripts of previous episodes are starting to become available over at talkingbay94.com, which I hope will serve as a resource. "These aren't the droids we're looking for ... move along." Anthony Forrest played two different key roles in the original Star Wars. As a Sandtrooper on Mos Eisley, he was the first on-screen recipient of a Jedi mind trick. And, in the legendary Anchorhead deleted scenes, he stood out next to Biggs and Luke, as Fixer, to look to a potential space battle. We talk about a lot, including his passion formusic, as well as relationship with the fandom and conventions. He will be appearing in April at Celebration Chicago, which you can now purchase autograph / photo-op tickets for from Topps: https://store.epicphotoops.com/star-wars-celebration-chicago/2019/anthony-forrest  To check out Mr. Forrest's incredible music, please visit: https://anthonyforrest.bandcamp.com/ And a very special thank you to dear friends of the show Mr. Gerald Home (Tessek, from Return of the Jedi) and Derek Maki from Coolwaters Productions for working so hard to coordinate this interview.
