Der Dienstag ist bei Apple wie immer ein kleiner Geburtstag für alle Apple-Fanboys (zumindest in diesem Jahr). Mit dem heutigen Tag sind neue MacBook und MacBook Pro Modelle erschienen, die hauptsächlich über einen schnelleren Prozessor und aktualisierte Bauteile verfügen. Ein Update war dieses Mal mehr als nötig. Leider gibt es keine schwarzen Tastaturen für das Pro Modell und auch keine großen Touchpads, obwohl Multi-Touch beim letzteren vorhanden ist. Möchte sich Apple durch das eher kleinere Update keine Konkurrenz zum kürzlich erschienenen Air machen? Toshiba hat unter anderem neue 1,8" Festplatten angekündigt, was irgendwann für das MacBook Air interessant werden könnte, da diese Modelle mit 5400 UPM laufen. Vielleicht gehört die Zukunft aber auch voll und ganz den SSDs. Der iTunes-Store feiert wieder einmal den Platzaufstieg. Momentan befindet man sich in den USA - wenn es um die Verkäufe geht - auf zweiter Position direkt hinter Walmart und hat Amazon zumindest kurzfristig überholt. Die große Frage ist jedoch, wie die Situation aussehen wird, wenn Amazon seine Zahlen für 2008 bekannt gibt und wie der MP3-Store im Vergleich zu anderen dasteht. Wer Probleme mit .Mac hat, dem möchte David Chartier bei Ars Technica weiterhelfen. Wie man seine Daten möglichst sauber zurücksetzen kann, erkläre ich selbstverständlich auf Deutsch im Podcast.
