We premiere new music from Kildare-based producer Porridge as he releases his new track ‘A Glitch In The System'. The young producer serves a dark and misty electro track that's heavily inspired by sc-fi. Hailing from Kildare Porridge has been producing music for just under a decade, skimming through various electronic genres, but always finding comfort within the darker spectrums of electronic sounds, from darkwave, IDM, electro, and more. A Glitch In The System is a dystopian techno/house-style track. Pulling from dark themes and melodies inspired by Sci -Fi & Cyberpunk, reflects the complicated digital world that swallows us every day. Drawing from influences like Jon Hopkins, Deadmau5, and Rezz, Porridge blends a unique mix of industrial electro and house. Porridge certainly offers something fresh and exciting to the Irish electronic scene. With a full-length album and several remixes from Irish acts like Zapho, Dead Label, Jack Rua, Viscose & Restive Nation. Porridge certainly cemented himself as a powerhouse producer. In hour number two our guest is on the leading edge of their genre, always innovating and arguably Ireland’s most “dangerous band”. Underestimate them at your own peril, their upcoming EP “Anthology” is a set of tracks that will punch you squarely in the chest and leave you incapable of ignoring them, breathless with its power and pace. It’s set for release on the 9th April this year and we welcome Claire Percival of Dead Label in our second hour.

It was a pleasure to chat with Mick Hynes, guitarist with Dead Label about what the band have been doing during a year which saw them lose out on playing Wacken, Download and Resurrection Festivals due to COVID. They do have an upcoming EP to promote called "Anthology" and we have a listen to one of those tracks called "Deadweight". There's plenty of stories thrown in about skateboarding, how Mick joined the band and influences that come through in his playing. Please hit "SUBSCRIBE" if you enjoyed the show and thanks for listening. Richie. Song featured and permission granted: Deadweight (c) Dead Label, 2021 all rights reserved. Archaós released their brilliant sophomore e.p Liberation to the Irish Metal Community on March 22nd 2019. Aaron on bass and Luke frontman/guitarist visited The Metal Cell studios to talk about how they wrote, recorded and mixed the e.p themselves along with fellow band members Alessio on guitar/death vocals and Chris on drums. Cans of beer were cracked open to a discussion on Dantes "The Divine Comedy", attacking metal objects with axes for the opening track Dugga and what it means for a band like Archaós to find their sound in a thriving Irish Metal Scene. So sit back and enjoy this great episode with the 2 lads of Archaós who certainly can make a huge difference to Irish Metal given their chance. Shout outs to Partholón, God Alone, Bailer, Zhora, Worn Out, From The Bogs of Aughiska, Words That Burn, Interference, Yurt and of course Dead Label and Ten Ton Slug. #supportirishmetal Songs featured: Dugga & Liberation © Archaós, 2019, all rights reserved
