"Our second release marks a bold step forward, welcoming Nashville-based artist Blaine Mason to the fold, joined by remixers FORUM and Freeman 713. This EP dives deep into trippy, psychedelic, and hypnotic sound design, where transgressive textures blur the line between atmosphere and intensity. Peak time and driving propulsion meet mind-bending soundscapes, while keeping the focus firmly on the dance floor. Warped synths, relentless grooves, chugging percussion and unconventional sonic storytelling are the hallmarks of a Blaine Mason release, and this is no different." For the 302nd Local Selection Mix, we welcome back a long-standing fixture of Dublin's abrasive techno circuit. Making his return after time away from the spotlight, Elliott Craig delivers an hour of unrelenting, high-intensity industrial and hardcore techno. This mix channels the spirit of the Hangar, Reaktor, and Unpolished era, a time when hardcore, gabber, industrial, and schranz collided into a ferocious melting pot. It was a reaction against the stripped-back, polished sounds that had come to dominate techno, pushing tempos beyond 140 BPM and breaking conventions in ways that felt genuinely exciting and rebellious. Elliott Craig has always embodied that ethos. A devoted champion of the era's raw energy, he continues to stand firm while many contemporaries have shifted toward more refined and accessible sounds. Craig remains committed to the uncompromising, brutal edge of techno and hardcore, rejecting the notion that intensity equates to gimmickry or poor taste, something often misrepresented in today's harder techno landscape. This marks his first mix in six years, and he returns with the same defiant attitude. It's a statement piece, an unapologetic dive into the harsher, anti-commercial side of the genre. Expect heavily distorted and compressed drums, pounding kicks, and gnarly saw-wave leads that tear through the speakers. It's a full-throttle assault on the conventional idea of “classy” techno. Relentless in its progression, Craig pushes the intensity further and further, culminating in full-blown Dutch hardcore euphoria. Strap in. We celebrate the landmark 300th Local Selection Mix with a juggernaut contribution from Belfast-based nightlife advocate, label owner, and one of the country's pound-for-pound finest selectors, Holly Lester. As the boss of Duality Trax and co-owner of Terrazzo, Lester has long been at the beating heart of Belfast's club culture. In a city that faces ongoing challenges in sustaining a healthy nightlife ecosystem, she has emerged as a commanding and essential presence. Through her relentless work as an artist, alongside her activism, she has played a pivotal role in raising awareness of the struggles and adversities facing the scene. In 2021, she co-founded Free The Night with Boyd Sleator, and together they have worked tirelessly to push for a better future for Northern Ireland's nightlife. A regular fixture at Belfast's AVA Festival, it was there she recorded her Boiler Room set in 2018, a breakthrough moment that saw DJ Mag and The Guardian cite her as a star on the rise. It was as a DJ that she first gained widespread recognition, becoming a staple at key institutions such as Shine, Chibuku Shake Shake, and The Warehouse Project. Since then, she has taken her sound across the globe, commanding dancefloors from Europe to Australia and Indonesia, with standout appearances in cities like Berlin, Amsterdam, and Prague. Holly marks the 300th Local Selection Mix as we move into Four Four Magazine's 10-year celebrations, an apt choice of artist to helm such a watershed moment in the series. Mix 300 captures a DJ firmly at the top of her game and delivers exactly what you'd expect from Lester: deep, chugging, poignant and proggy, with flashes of jackin' energy and soulful undertones. It's a carefully curated cocktail of nuanced selections from a DJ who consistently digs deeper, cutting through an era where club culture can often lean on the obvious or overly familiar. Instead, Holly meets that tendency head-on with a heady, rolling selection rooted in house music as its backbone, steering the mix with intent, patience, and precision. The result is a journey that could soundtrack a sunset at Titanic Slipways or the first light of an Australian morning rave. But right now, it belongs here, marking number 300 in style. We'll dance to that. The 299th edition of the Four Four Local Selection is coming in hot from Dublin-based multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer Ali PJ. This contribution is a fine showcase of the upcomers' refined taste, which incorporates bustling house-oriented basslines and uplifting, playful vocals throughout. With a relatively short period of time, Ali PJ has made a strong mark through her involvement in Dublin's electronic dance music scene. She first gained attention following a standout DJ set on RTÉ 2FM's The Bunker Sessions late last year, and steadily built on that momentum with appearances at a range of venues including Tengu, Index, and The Workman's Club. In addition to her performances, she founded the BIMM DJ Society last year, which is an impressive accolade in itself. Further cementing her presence within Dublin's club circuit. A personal highlight so far has been her debut at Block, where she supported IDEMI during their Irish debut. Ali's groove-driven sets blend classic house tracks with a contemporary edge, creating a sound that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly current. Guided by instinctive, intuitive track selection and a seamless sense of flow, weaving together an array of vocal-driven EDM influences, punchy basslines, and carefully crafted melodic hooks. Not to mention, this mix features one of her own unreleased tracks towards the end of the recording - so do be sure to keep an ear out! This week's Local Selection welcomes Belfast-based DJ, promoter and writer Uncle Moe to the series. The 298th edition provides an insight into Moe's three main sonic preferences: ambient, techno and percussive. This mix fuses these favourites in an eloquent, slick way. Uncle Moe operates at the intersection of Belfast's grassroots scene towards a wider, global club continuum. As one half of the well-admired Plain Sailing—a DJ duo and club night that has become a fixture in the city's underground—he's built a reputation for thoughtful, forward-facing bookings, hosting artists across the spectrum of electronic dance music from DVS1 and D. Dan to LCY and Objekt. The project reflects a curatorial instinct grounded as much in community as it is in club functionality. This ethos extends into Uncle Moe Invites, a series of after-hours gatherings centred on intimacy and spontaneity. Hosted in low-lit, small-capacity spaces, the parties revolve around extended B2B sessions with local artists, prioritising trust, experimentation and shared energy over spectacle. Alongside DJing, Uncle Moe has emerged as a key voice documenting and amplifying Irish underground culture for some time now. Through writing for platforms including Clash Magazine, Resident Advisor and DJ Mag, they've contributed to a broader narrative around Ireland's evolving electronic landscape, bridging the gap between local movements and international recognition. This recording unfolds with a gradual, immersive approach. The first half is rooted in dub techno territory, with lush, spatial textures shaped by an array of percussive elements that tie in nicely with the mixes overall progression. There is a meditative quality to this opening section, a slow-building atmosphere that draws the listener inward. As the mix delves further, it transitions into more rhythm-driven territory, reflecting a deep affinity for soundsystem culture. Steppy, syncopated drum patterns begin to take hold, weaving together elements of dub, percussive techno, and bass music. Both carry a considerable amount of weight and movement, while remaining enveloped in hazy, dreamlike ambient layers. The result is a carefully balanced journey between introspection and energy, and we are all for it! As a DJ and producer, Nestor demonstrates his versatility often, playing a broad spectrum of genres across his sets, ranging from high-energy, gritty techno to feel-good house, alongside some of the biggest names in the underground scene. In 2024, Nestor released his debut EP titled ‘Movement', which featured on RTE Pulse, SWU.FM and Crop Radio. This week's entry to Local Selection comes from Seboro, one half of Dublin collective Nocturnal Animal, who delivers an hour-long live recording, guiding listeners through jackin', rolling grooves, setting the tone to a perfect simmer. After relocating from Berlin to Dublin, Seboro has quickly established himself as a driving force in the Irish techno scene. Through his collective, Nocturnal Animals, he has cultivated a dedicated community centred on a signature dark and minimal aesthetic, a movement defined by an unwavering ‘music first' philosophy. 2025 marked a major milestone for Seboro: with two No. 1 EPs on the Beatport Raw Techno charts and debut sets at iconic venues such as Sisyphos, KitKat, and ADE in Amsterdam, he proved his sound resonates well beyond the local circuit. Seboro has also earned regular support slots for international heavyweights, including Marcel Dettmann, Len Faki, Ben Klock, Sama Abdulhadi, Alan Fitzpatrick, and Maceo Plex. This mix feels like a culmination of Seboro's various influences, where shades of house and techno collide to create a stomping yet thoughtful journey. Echoes of Berlin nights at Panorama Bar and Sisyphos shine through, while Saturday nights at Dublin's Index and Wigwam make themselves felt. The mix flows through long, seamless blends of lush chords, pummeling 909-driven power, and nu-school tribal and minimal sounds you might expect to dominate Berghain's main floor. This week's contribution showcases one of Ireland's longest-serving DJs, as we host Dublin-based DJ Aoife Nic Canna to the series. Lock in for the next hour as she exhibits her slick selections and effortless technique throughout. For our latest iteration of the Local Selection, we welcome a legendary Irish vinyl DJ, Aoife Nic Canna to the series. Her contribution acts as the 292nd edition, where she sifts through her library, sharing various old school deep cuts in house and adjacent genres. A range of soft, elegant and warm selections can be heard over the course of the recording. Ideal listening for this glum Wednesday. She was a founding member of the seminal Horny Organ Tribe. Dubbed the 'first lady of Irish house', she earned regular appearances at culture-defining nights and institutions like Cork's Mór Disco, Dublin's Temple of Sound, and Manchester's Hacienda. Continuing to hold several residencies across Ireland over her expansive career, she has, since Covid lifted, returned to playing regularly across Ireland. Some notable venues include Connollys of Leap, Opium, Hen's Teeth, Izakaya, The Bernard Shaw and Pawn Shop. Introducing the first Local Selection of 2026, and the 290th edition of the series is Belfast-based DJ Keeva G, who has kindly contributed an hour of power which showcases her affinity for the harsher, mind-boggling edges of techno. A statement mix right from the off. No playing around here. Keeva G has steadily carved her place within the Irish techno scene over the last few years as a compelling, sought-after DJ. Recognised for her diverse sets that incorporate hypnotic soundscapes with raw, driving techno. Her love for the genre's foundations is unmistakable, with selections often nodding to old-school selections, drawing inspiration from the gritty, machine-driven sounds that defined techno's deep history. With a background shaped by years immersed in the dance music scenes of Amsterdam, London, and New York, Keeva has harnessed this time spent across a wide range of dancefloors and channelled her specific sound that is a staple in her sets, which is both dynamic and uncompromising. Fusing hypnotic textures with a relentless sense of movement, her sets balance the raw energy of classic techno with a modern, groove-focused flavour that typically draws influences from Bas Mooy, ø [Phase], and Sunil Sharpe. Having built a strong repertoire in a relatively short span of time, Keeva G has earned herself notable slots at Fuinneamh, Emerge, and If You Know You Know Festival. Not to mention Club M01 in Berlin with Nexus, as well as Belfast's iconic Telegraph Building, Banana Block, The Ulster Sports Club and Pawn Shop in Dublin. This recording applies tension right from the off, and continues to nudge at the ever-expanding intensity as the recording progresses. All while tapping into and embracing a selection of eerily hypnotic and ethereal selections, while keeping that consistent hard-edge at the mixes core throughout. Pleased to announce the first Hidden Love EP, courtesy of Lorcan Kelly, titled 'A Letter From Me To You', drops later this month on Thursday, January 22nd. This 4-track EP showcases one of Ireland's brightest prospects' range across the diverse realm of techno. 4 stunning tracks that each deliver different moods throughout the genre. This is a proud moment for us, as Lorcan initially contacted us with demos last year, so to see him release on our previous VA and now with this solo EP feels like a real full-circle moment. “PUMPDATASS” was born during a late-night studio session, starting out as a loopy, driving drum-and-percussion workout with raw high energy. It quickly evolved into a full-blown peak-time warehouse destroyer. This collaboration pushes Cody outside his usual production style, fusing seamlessly with the signature OG Blokes45 sound. The track came together effortlessly, and testing it on dancefloors has been an absolute highlight - crowds have been eating it up. Up next on the Local Selection, we welcome Galway-based DJ Panic Loop to the series. This week's contribution is a meddling hour of chugging techno that pays homage to various Irish producers throughout. Dial in for the next hour for this impressive showcase. For the 289th edition of the series, we host Galway-native Panic Loop, a DJ who made their club debut in September 2024, who has become a welcome addition to the cities vibrant club scene, spinning a selection of techno and electro. Alternating between numerous all-night-long sets, B2B's with Data Ryder and __ in Electric. He's also had the chance of opening things up in Factory for Bastardo Electrico label-head and Irish techno aficionado Jamie Behan for Rave Culture, as well as an appearance for Galway electro outfit Deep Sea Dweller. This mix features a range of techno flavours currently on Panic Loops' periphery. A concoction of mature grooves that incorporates eerily dark, bleepy textures and a variety of hypnotic rhythms over the course of the recording. It is an excellent showcase of true techno. In a ritualistic fashion, incorporating shivering, murky undertones while elevating the energy as the mix progresses. The mix is also a slight nod to some of Ireland's most prolific producers, featuring Havik, Casey Fable, Aero and Offtrack. Wednesday soundtrack sorted. Wicklow's CAZ steps up to the Local Selection plate, delivering an hour of irresistible house and loading the 288th edition with anthem after anthem. A rapidly rising force in Ireland's electronic scene, CAZ has already amassed nearly 10 million streams across platforms, showcasing the momentum he's built in just a few short years. His breakthrough arrived with “My Eyes,” released via Sony, a track that quickly became a defining sound of the summer after landing on Love Island. Heavy rotation on BBC Radio 1 and Capital Dance pushed the record beyond 2 million streams and marked CAZ as a producer with both mainstream reach and undeniable dancefloor instincts. From there, his trajectory only accelerated. CAZ cultivated a loyal following across SoundCloud and social platforms, eventually dropping “Sweet Tea”, a track that exploded past 4 million streams and caught the attention of Patrick Topping, earning a signing to his TRICK imprint. Its success as a Capital Dance Pick not only amplified his profile but also led to an official remix for Jazzy's “Make Up,” released alongside her album and further established CAZ as a key emerging player in contemporary dance music. Now, his arrival on the Local Selection series showcases another side of his artistry, his pedigree as a DJ. And while this mix isn't recorded live, the energy suggests otherwise: it feels ripped straight from peak-time at an Irish festival, a sweat-soaked tent bursting at the seams as CAZ unleashes banger after banger with unrelenting precision. The set is relentless in all the right ways, threaded with moments of brilliance and unexpected turns, yet anchored by a run of anthems mixed so sharply that even the most familiar tracks hit with refreshing surprise. As party season hits full stride, expect this one to become a staple soundtrack. CAZ continues to climb, and if this mix is any indication, 2026 is about to be a defining year for one of Ireland's brightest dance talents. Belfast's SOPHIE steps up to the Local Selection with an hour of mind-bending cuts. Moving fluidly from low-slung bass grooves to shuffled Illian Tape-esque techno, hard-drum tribal weapons and beyond, firmly proving why she's one of the island's most exciting new selectors. The Social Sounds boss has become a pillar of Belfast's current scene. She's part of a new wave of artists steering the vanguard of what can only be described as the city's new underground guard. Her party offers a true alternative: left-field, challenging sounds that never veer into self-indulgence. It's undeniably danceable, yet clearly driven by a desire to expand her crowd's palette, and that's exactly what SOPHIE has been striving for. Her DJ approach mirrors this ideology: a wide-ranging, genre-flexible sound that travels through techno, house, dub and beyond. Her selections lean toward the left-field and forward-thinking, shaped by a clear understanding of how to command a dance floor without relying on the obvious. This mix is an ode to that philosophy—nimble, light on its feet, but never treading lightly. She stacks one bass-heavy cut atop the next, whether it's an overarching sub-bass monster or a broken-techno, 90s-leaning UK thriller. It's a deliberate exercise in pushing the needle, channelling the spirit of artists like Skee Mask, a bold comparison, but one that feels earned. The mix shocks and surprises at every turn, unconcerned with whether something “should” fit. It embodies what a DJ should do: present the music you love in a way that makes sense, regardless of how unconventional the route may be. And when it comes to connecting the dots in this sonic jigsaw, SOPHIE pieces it together immaculately. November 22nd 2025 is SEVEN's First Birthday! We are celebrating in style with an incredible remix EP of our label co-founder CRYME's amazing track London Boy. The Vinyl EP features remixes by three incredible artists who all love the original track and played in repeatedly in their sets. MCR-T, Roza Terenzi and Jako Jako all made us their own special spin on the original. Stef de Haan came in with a wonderful remix as the digital bonus. Roza Terenzi supplies a sleek, modern club workout, reframing the vocal into playful rhythmic fragments and keeping the pulse elastic and unpredictable. Jako Jako strips it back with a floor-focused interpretation built on rolling drums and a bouncing bassline, carving space for a raw synth lead and chopped vocals that add a mischievous edge. The 285th edition of our Local Selection mix series comes from Mav, who delivers a head-banging techno session built entirely from her own productions. Dublin's Mav has become an essential force in contemporary Irish techno. Her approach stands apart from the conveyor-belt sensibilities often associated with the genre today. Instead, she delves deep into the world of live, hardware-driven performance, crafting tracks that feel raw, tactile and intensely human, music where machine and body interact to create something visceral and physical. Though she may have only come onto wider radars in recent years, Mav has been a committed participant in dance music culture for far longer. She began DJing in the early 2000s, eventually finding her home in the alternative club scene, a space where she could explore her gender identity while refining her artistic voice. Her sound sits firmly on the dark and industrial end of the techno spectrum. With roots in rock and metal, Mav approached electronic music from an outsider's angle. Deep dives into industrial, darkwave, goth, EBM and aggrotech expanded her sonic vocabulary and continue to shape her creativity. She gravitates toward pounding four-on-the-floor rhythms, aggressive and hypnotic grooves, minimal melodies and deadpan vocals, elements that combine to set the stage for intense dance-floor journeys. This 100% original-productions mix is a testament to countless hours spent in the studio. Across an unrelenting hour, she showcases her physical, hands-on process: noisy, thumping, abrasive techno powered by raw emotion. It's music designed to be felt as much as heard, provoking a direct, bodily response. Fierce, impactful and brutalist yet textured, dynamic and tactile—this is Mav in masterclass form. The 284th Local Selection comes from Drogheda-based rising selector Emore, who guides us through a slinky set of warping progressive house cuts, an hour-long trip into alien territories and hypnotic rhythms. Emore has quickly become a standout name in Ireland's club circuit. The Drogheda-based DJ and promoter has earned a reputation for her expansive approach to selection, most at home within the twisted spectrum of house and techno. Beyond DJing, Emore is deeply embedded in the community side of club culture. She's been instrumental in reviving Drogheda's once-prominent nightlife scene, helping to shape some of the town's most formative collectives and parties, including Mood, Drogheda Groove Movement, and her latest project, Bubblegum. This mix feels like a culmination of her influences, a sound that could easily have emerged from the eastern edges of Europe's underground house scene. It's chugging, sci-fi-tinged, and priggish in all the right ways: weird yet controlled, experimental yet irresistibly danceable. That balance, where forward-facing music still translates to the floor, is difficult to strike, but Emore nails it. The energy builds and mutates, never tipping over, maintaining a tension that makes you wish it went on for another three hours. It's the kind of mix that keeps you tucked into the back-left corner of the dancefloor, drink in hand, locked in those infectious, bleeped-out rhythms. Belfast-based DJ and producer CIAN steps up for this week's Local Selection, delivering a tasteful, deep, and driving trip through hypnotic techno, flexing his versatility and muscle in digging deep. The mix is a journey, blending screwball contemporary cuts with low-slung, heads-down grooves that lock you into a rolling, meditative flow. It's an exercise in rhythm and restraint, showcasing CIAN's ability to balance tension and release. Known for his eclecticism, CIAN has become a key figure among Belfast's new generation of DJs, artists who refuse to be boxed in by a single genre, scene, or label. He represents a dissident energy that belongs purely to the dancefloor and all the ways it can be interpreted. His taste when selecting is as broad as that spirit suggests: often spinning a dizzying concoction of house, techno, trance, garage, and beyond. Yet, despite the range, his transitions feel outrageously natural, a testament to his instinct and ear for flow. For this mix, CIAN leans into the techno end of his spectrum, layering percussive grooves with dubby, hypnotic influences to create a smooth yet propulsive rhythm that unfolds with purpose. This is CIAN in his element: broad-spanning, unpretentious, and uncompromisingly funk-fuelled. GETSPART, formerly known as Adam Talbot, is a Dublin-based DJ and producer championing the nu-school house and garage movement in the Irish capital. His sound draws from the deep, punchy, and swung textures that live in the space between house and garage, music designed for the dancefloor, but resonating on a deeper, emotional level. A graduate of the renowned DJ and dance music powerhouse Bray Institute of Further Education (BIFE), GETSPART immersed himself fully in both the DJ Techniques and Music Production programs. Under the mentorship of acclaimed artists Sunil Sharpe and Doug Cooney, he honed his craft, delving into the subtleties, nuances, and mechanics that define high-calibre electronic music. As a producer, GETSPART has already made his mark with a release on Foundations Records, and he has two more forthcoming projects lined up with Talkbox and 9 Lives. His productions reflect a distinctive voice, a blend of rhythmic depth, groove, and character, inspired by legends such as Kerri Chandler, Todd Terry, Burnski, DART, Spray, and Jeremy Sylvester. His Local Selection mix embodies these influences, serving up steppy, rolling percussion layered with glossy, chord-driven lushness. It's a masterful balance between light and dark. Unafraid to explore the gnarly, murky ends of the house and garage canon, yet equally at home in the jazzy, floating sensibilities of classic Chicago house. GETSPART moves effortlessly between these worlds, keeping his sound balanced on a knife's edge, refined yet raw. Irish techno producer Kerrie returns to Tresor Records on 24th October 2025 with her second EP for the label. Entitled Echoes Of The Live Wire, this collection captures the beauty and essence of live performance — a moment in time never to be repeated. This fixing of time is also given a different meaning as the EP explores the ways in which intense moments in our lives, both joyful and painful, are crystallised into memory — both beautiful and haunting — lingering long after they've passed. Layered meanings are employed throughout as Kerrie explores this idea: Live Wire draws connections between circuit boards and the human nervous system, whilst also toying with multiple meanings of the word “live”. Echoes Of channels classic Detroit techno influences, resonating with the distant hum of memories that refuse to fade, while Moment To Memory is a beatless, floating piece which slowly builds to an ecstatic crescendo. Digital bonus tracks Recircuit and Reclaim add further depth to the core metaphor: the former a driving, minimal yet building techno workout, and the latter a cathartic and emotionally open track that delivers intensity with vulnerability. Echoes Of The Live Wire reflects on memory as a complex, dual-sided force where joy and pain coexist with equal weight. Her creative process becomes a form of meditation and emotional processing — using machines to process, reflect, and let go. The result is a body of work that loops back on itself, telling a story of fleeting moments and their lasting emotional imprints. YARIS is a new force emerging from Belfast's supercharged local club circuit. As an ever-curious and adventurous selector and promoter, her mission is simple, to inject fun back into every space she steps into. Still fresh to DJing, YARIS brings a burst of raw, untamed energy to her sets. Unconcerned with rules, restrictions, or trends that often shape the scene, she thrives on instinct, that pure, early-stage spark that can't be taught. Despite her recent arrival, she's already left her mark across some of Belfast's most treasured venues and festivals, including Emerge Festival, Thompsons, Titanic Distillers, The Barge, Marcus Ward, Banana Block, and Ulster Sports Club. Beyond DJing, YARIS is the founder of Music Is Nonverbal, a project designed to help neurodivergent and socially anxious individuals connect, express, and heal through the universal language of music. It's an inspiring initiative, one that deserves far more recognition across Ireland. YARIS's Local Selection is a tribute to the fun-loving, spontaneous spirit that defines her approach. High-energy and fast-paced, it's filled with lush dubby chords, gnarly driving rhythms, and springy, shuffled techno tools. Rather than focusing on tension or intensity, it celebrates the playful, party-driven side of techno, almost leaning into a house sensibility. Dublin's MILLS steps up to the Local Selection series with a rolling, high-energy house hour underscored by his signature techy, steppy minimal flavour. While rooted in minimal, MILLS doesn't rely on its tropes; instead, he regularly turns the dial toward rave and jackin' house influences, creating a sound that's dynamic, unpredictable, and powerful. MILLS has cemented himself as one of 2025's most exciting emerging house talents. His rise hasn't been limited to his own work as a DJ and producer; he's also established himself as a contemporary tastemaker, using both radio and social media to champion fresh sounds from Ireland and beyond. A positive and consistent presence in the Irish electronic landscape, his influence is rippling through the scene. Now a regular fixture across Ireland's top venues, MILLS has also made waves internationally — from Ibiza and Magaluf to Santa Ponsa and Liverpool — sharing stages with a roster of revered artists including Weiss, Ejeca (Trancewax), Shermanology, Biscits, Yasmine Gardezi, Morgan Seatree, Camrin Watsin, Evan McGee, Caz, and Jess Bays, among others. Earlier this year, he brought his rave-soaked house sound to Electric Picnic, which was met with high praise. That same energy carries into his Local Selection Mix, where he rolls through a multitude of anthems, from deep, subdued tech-house cuts to classic chord-driven grooves and bone-crunching, ecstasy-laced bangers. True to form, MILLS closes the loop by dipping back into his minimalist roots, delivering a set that's anything but linear, a journey built for big rooms, outdoor stages, and sun-soaked Ibiza sessions with MILLS in full control. For our next Local Selection, we welcome KISST, aka Ste McCabe, to the series. The Shed Residents co-founder steps up for this week's iteration with a rhythmic contribution of knarly, introspective selections rooted in a gloomy, yet moving atmosphere. Our 279th edition of the Local Selection invites KISST to showcase his contribution to the series. The Dublin-based DJ, promoter and producer has left an indelible mark through a host of memorable raves, parties and takeovers over nearly four jam-packed years. During this time, he has made festival appearances at Beyond The Pale and Fuinneamh while picking up support slots for Mac Declos, MCR-T and KiNK, with an upcoming main support slot alongside Yours Truly for Human Safari at the end of the month in Tengu. Things have been progressing nicely for KISST, namely due to his relatively recent undertaking of music production, in taking the next step in expressing himself as an artist. In doing so, it has been refreshing to hear the progression of his sound over time and, notably, where he is currently positioned. This point, where you can feel his recent discography fuses particularly well with his DJ selections is exciting, and I look forward to hearing what comes next! For this recording, KISST crafts a journey through shadowy, immersive soundscapes where deep, hypnotic rhythms collide with atmospheric layers and gritty textures. Infused with hardgroove elements and sharp percussive drive, this mix eloquently balances tension and release, pulling the listener into a state that's equal parts meditative and relentless. The Mayo-born, Utrecht-based DJ has provided us with a phenomenal recording geared towards low-end enthusiasts for the next hour. Dial in. Our latest contribution to the Local Selection comes from Holly Foyle aka DJ Hushpuppy. With a deep admiration and passion for soundsystem culture and bass, Holly has been present in the scene for the last 2 years, sharing her preferred style of dubby, heavy headcore tracks that she's managed to accumulate during this time. In this short span, she's earned a host of impressive accolades that include playing a range of venues like Wigwam, Tengu, Pawn Shop, Connolly's of Leap and The Roisín Dubh and more across the country. Not to mention spinning for a host of parties like Echo Exchange, Honeypot, Starlight Project, Lost, Intoxica and AMPM too. While also picking up a string of supports for Prozak, Pegassi, Odymel and Juicy Romance in the process. She's managed to make her mark at some smashing festivals such as The Ritual and Fuinneamh Festival more recently. Our next instalment of the Local Selection invites Limerick-based DJ and producer Kule to the series. The 276th entry comes from Muintearas boss NAOISE, who delivers a broad-spanning mix of curveballs over an hour, moving seamlessly from grime to prog, house, techno, and back again. Dublin-based DJ and party organiser NAOISE has long had their finger firmly on the pulse of the city's countercultural side of club life. They present a monthly show, Muintearas, on Dublin Digital Radio, while also running events under the same name. Both the radio show and the events follow no strict genre rules, instead embracing an eclectic approach that flows through bass, breaks, progressive house, and more. Curation lies at the heart of NAOISE's artistry. They are committed to shining a spotlight on emerging and marginalised artists, whether through DDR's airwaves or events across venues like Tengu, Wigwam, and other DIY spaces in Dublin. This mix embodies that wide-reaching approach, moving from heady two-step grime to bellowing, cut-throat breaks, relentless trance-tinged techno, warped prog house, and beyond. It's a movement, a dance, flowing through various formations, unafraid to drop the energy only to build it back up. Our next edition of the Local Selection welcomes Meath-based DJ and producer LAWRENCE to the series. The fast-rising artist has provided us with a live recording taken from his performance at this summer's Forbidden Fruit Afterparty in Wigwam, which took place in May earlier this year. LAWRENCE has spent the last few years meticulously developing his style as a DJ and producer. This has led him to explore a vast range of avenues that tend to fall under the umbrella of underground as well as commercial-leaning sounds. This open-minded outlook saw him play right across the country in Dublin, Limerick, Carlow, Galway, Wicklow and more. Supporting Max Dean, Luke Dean, LB aka Labat, Sunnysoposted and Ammara during this period. LAWRENCE has consistently toggled between a mixture of club shows and raves, while never straying from his focus that is spinning highly energetic dance music. This presence is much the same when it comes to his productions; depending on the mood and atmosphere, he has constructed a discography that generally covers most soundscapes. Jumping across genres, some of which include house, techno, trance, breakbeat and beyond. He has amassed an excess of 300,000 streams currently, with clearly no signs of slowing down. This success has seen his productions earn notable support from LB aka Labat, Future666, Thelma and Faster Horses. LAWRENCE shared some insights regarding this Local Selection, noting that 'This set was super enjoyable for me, I spent my time in the booth feeling very in control of the crowd and receiving great reactions for each track that was brought forward. With LB aka Labat on after me, I wanted to raise up the energy of the room across my slot - punching in as many heaters as possible. Next up on the Local Selection, we welcome Ukiyo Lacuna resident IKIGAI3000 (aka Dylan Jones), who has provided a mind-bending recording for us today. His contribution is one filled with a fierce selection of energetic techno, scattered with dazzling moments of tension and release throughout. Although he is a relatively new artist in Ireland's techno scene, having just started DJing in late 2023, IKIGAI3000 has had a fairly action-packed time as a DJ and producer during this short period. He has played shows all over, spanning Galway, Drogheda and Dublin as well as international gigs further afield in Manchester, Freiburg and Berlin. This also includes appearances on Galway's Skin Sessions, Limerick's Shed Sets, as well as the Drogheda Groove Movement mix series. His productions have been received particularly well, with releases on Space Records and IC Trax and an abundance of SoundCloud self-releases. Additionally, he's garnered support from a range of notable artists that include Uberkikz, Dax J, Daria Kolosova, Grace Dahl and Alarico. It's clear to see that Dylan's progression as an artist will undoubtedly continue to rustle feathers amongst his peers if he continues to build on this fine level of output and consistency. IKIGAI3000's mix for the Local Selection is best described as a personal journey through sound. This recording in particular showcases where he currently finds himself on his path as an artist, seamlessly weaving through tracks that complement one another in effortless fashion. Best characterised as a 60-minute immersion of no nonsense, serious techno. This track is one of the most recent works I've done that features on my upcoming project "The Other Side of Place". After coming back from Gottwood festival, I had mad inspiration. I knew I wanted a gritty, bassy track with a lot of emotion. and I think that runs through. I got deep into my sound design with this one so I hope its a pleasure to listen to. This week's entry to the Local Selection showcases Tipperary-born, now Belfast-based DJ, Laine to the series. This recording depicts Laine's cohesive and elegant mixing style, progressing eloquently throughout. Lock in for the next hour to hear this stunning mix, courtesy of the Reclaim The Mainframe resident. Laine has burst onto the Dublin dance circuit in recent years, encompassing a distinct style that is geared towards house music and its adjacent sub-genres. In doing so, she has earned the opportunity to play for a host of parties like Melodic, Lumo Club and Hidden Love, as well as venues across Dublin such as Tengu, Pawn Shop and Izakaya. Not to mention picking up a residency for one of Ireland's most exciting parties, Reclaim The Mainframe. These opportunities come as no surprise once you have gotten the chance to hear Laine play, as her library allows her to showcase a wide range of deep cuts right across the house spectrum. She has frequented DDR's airwaves on multiple occasions as part of Efa O Neill's Out of Space series, as well as showcasing a guest mix for prog-house aficionados Fuaim. Her expertise in the booth has seen her perform at Beyond The Pale as well as Fuinneamh, with another appearance at the Dundalk festival locked in this summer. Laine's Local Selection focuses on an array of low-slung chuggers, rooted in deep, murky territory. Keeping things moody, slick and rolling for the duration of the recording, Laine does a fantastic job at flexing this side of her musical palette while introducing glimpses of euphoria throughout. Interestingly, this mix is ideal for casual listening, though it is something you could envision hearing in a smoke-filled, dimly lit basement somewhere, too.
