Sometimes you're chugging along a highway, sometimes you're running along a scenic river gorge, and sometimes you're navigating across the Great Glen Way on 70 miles of plastic rail. We're joining our friend Dick Strawbridge in the journey to Fucking Inverness this week on The Biggest Little Railway in the World. Come for the model trains, stay for the friendship. At the intersection of our inexplicable brand you'll find Scotland, Nice People, Dick Strawbridge, british people, infrastructure, Love Productions and (checks notes) Hamm Analysis???? Anyway, we just really love trains.
A week late, but the Valentine's Day special is here. The LC muchachos bring in Rudy's wife Ashley for an episode breaking down 2005's Hitch, unbuttoned button ups, gender equality in rom-coms, Dick Strawbridge, rich girl names, constructive criticism, bros being dudes, TV infidelity, running capris, the benefit of the benefit of the doubt, and much, much more on this episode of The Loosest Conceptual Movie Podcast On The Internet™. This week we're reporting live from the floating glamping dome at Château de la Motte-Husson. We wish??? Alas, we are forced to Escape to the Chateau by way of Dick Strawbridge and his enigmatic aura. If you too enjoy watching questionable people make questionable choices with both their home renovation and their business, look no further than this gem that includes highlights such as taxidermy! narrator shade! growing vegetables and eating them! We actually cannot overstate how much we love this show or how many questions we have about Dick Strawbridge's credentials. If you have information about the petty chateau wars, please contact us!
This week, Gilly escapes to the Cornish countryside (virtually, of course) with TV presenter and eco chef, James Strawbridge whose BBC series It’s Not Easy Being Green with dad, Dick Strawbridge of Escape to the Chateau fame, was way ahead of its time. It's all sponsored this month by Montezuma’s, Britain’s greatest little chocolate company who believe that their beautifully produced and packaged chocolate is positively good for the planet. The ethically-sourced ingredients in their bars, buttons, bites and truffles are all free from gluten, GM, colourings and preservatives and every product is also delivered in packaging that’s either recyclable, biodegradable, or compostable, making this a chocolate company with a conscience. Strange things go on in my head. I may be thinking about the actor Katie Holmes, why my car sounds like Perry the Platypus and a teacher at the school who also works at the school I work at and who looks a little bit like Dick Strawbridge... but can you see the link between them all and what I'm talking about today? This episode sees me talk about positivity in the media... or maybe the lack of it and a challenge to you to do something about it.I also talk about my religion a little, social media and how Double Deckers spread happiness. You may be enticed, you may be enthralled or you may be disappointed, but it will only take you ten minutes to find out!Attribution for the MusicCarefree by Kevin MacLeodLink: https://incompetech.filmmusic.io/song/3476-carefreeLicense: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Strange things go on in my head. I may be thinking about gardening, jam and podcasts but can you see the link between them all? This episode sees me tell the story of how I won Masterchef, became the inspiration for a Swedemason song (admittedly I can't prove this but I know it to be true! Listen to Masterchef Synesthesia after this podcast and tell me it's not true!) and would have run away with Dick Strawbridge because he kissed me.Twice.Oh and it involves Cheesecake.

We're revisiting our favorite network in our hearts this week and have found some gems from Netflix's selection of Cottage Life UK content. However, we don't visit Netflix without generating a few gripes, and we have A LOT OF THEM because Netflix has unjustly removed Canadian Cottage Life from their offering. Once we get over our feelings about that (and begin our letter writing campaign), we meet our new friends Dick Strawbridge and Willie Fedora over at Cabins in the Wild. This segment includes Dragon themed cabins, live reports from Snowdonia National Park, and everybody's favorite time - Kirstie and Kelsey google some things about pioneer life. Then we move on to House Doctor (how can I help?), where we meet yet another bag of dicks, Grumpy Old Dickie. We learn a lot about rooms with a point of view and our point of view is that this show is a disaster. This episode wraps up with a discussion of the maple syrup grading system, so don't miss that. Happy sugaring season, y'all! Don't forget to check out our new Game of Thrones recap podcast, Our Watch Has Ended, wherever you're listening to this podcast!
We recorded this during some dark times in our country's history. There's no glossing over that fact. But no matter how bad things get, Dick Strawbridge and his wild, wild cabins are there to help. Oh, and did we forget to mention that he's a Lieutenant-Colonel with the British Army? So actually, that'll be Lt Colonel Dick Strawbridge to you. Also, Jess talks about Uno and vegetarian lasagna, while I introduce our newest segment: Doctor Doctor, actually I don't trust you very much. But who cares about any of that; this is a Dick Strawbridge podcast now. And at a limber 53 minutes, no less! Music used in this episode includes: 'Ad Break': Guillaume Tucker - Bebop Molecule http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Guillaume_Tucker/2015021275957958/BebopMolecule-GTucker-Verdigris Outro: Jahzzar - Green Lights http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Jahzzar/Tumbling_Dishes_Like_Old-Mans_Wishes/Green_Lights And our theme song: Steve Combs - Drag Chain http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Steve_Combs/Speaking_in_Spirals_1809/03_Drag_Chain
One time Army Colonel and green guru Dick Strawbridge, the man, the moustache and a lovely drive through Cornwall
