We're all a couple of Fonzies today as Tim continues traveling the globe in search of rare herbs and spices, leaving Dr. Johnny Lupinacci and non-Dr. Jakob no choice but to go it alone. Thankfully, the fellas have a great topic for today! What can teachers learn from coaches? What can coaches learn from teachers? Are these two jobs all that different after all? Or are they just different applications of the same ideas and practices? That's what Johnny's got on his mind today and Jakob is down to clown. So stick with us as we discuss how coaching is teaching and teaching is coaching on THIS exciting episode of BustED Pencils. Thank you for listening to today's program. The Karen Read murder trial has captivated the country. Karen is accused of hitting her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O'Keefe, in anger after a night of drinking with friends with her Lexus SUV when she dropped him off at a friend's house, just after midnight on January 29, 2022 as a blizzard slammed the town of Canton, Massachusetts. After the alleged incident, Karen left the scene of the crime. Her defense made the bold claim that the Massachusetts State Police and the Canton Police Department conspired to cover up John's murder to protect two law enforcement agents, Brian Higgins and Brian Albert and Brian's 17-year-old nephew Colin Albert. They argued that the trio beat John and left him in the snow to die by planting evidence and coaching witnesses.Today's snacks: Fonzies and Amica Chips - Anello PizzaSupport us on Patreon.See part 1 show notes for list of sources and links.

Look, based on 2017, “aliens land on Earth” is only about the 20th least-likely thing that will happen this year. (Right behind “Trump admits it was a joke” and ahead of “Andy Kaufman admits it was a joke.”) So in case it does happen, as a people we need to have an ace in the hole: movies that we can show to aliens to prove that we’re cool. This week Michael and Richard take different paths to cool, and it’s up to Jeff to separate the Fonzies from the Potsies. And if you aren’t too cool for school, beam yourself over to iTunes or your other favorite podcast listening service and give us a review. SHOW NOTES 3:04 – “Rebel Without a Cause” (Richard’s Choice) 7:13 – “Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Michael’s Choice) 11:59 – “Shaft” (Richard’s Choice) 17:00 – “Mars Attacks” (Michael’s Choice) 23:45 – “Guardians of the Galaxy” (Jeff’s “Gutzon Borglum’s Bag” Choice) 25:45 – “The Professional” (Richard’s Choice) 32:01 – “Wall-E” (Michael’s Choice) 38:41 – “Amateur” (Richard’s Choice) 46:22 – “The Lord of the Rings Trilogy” (Michael’s Choice)
