This is a special live recording of Ctrl Alt Delete focused on all things periods, from cramps to menstrual mishaps, bloody good anecdotes, mind-boggling facts and incredible stories as we delve into a raw discussion about all aspects periods around the world. This was recorded at Hoxton Square Bar & Grill in collaboration with Project Period, a campaign bringing together activists to maximise momentum on efforts to put period poverty onto the global agenda. On the panel were three brilliant women talking about periods: gynecologist and Instagram influencer Anita Mittra “The Gynae Geek”, period poverty activist Holly Bantleman, and social entrepreneur Tasha Bishop of “The Pants Project’.The aim of this conversation is to raise awareness (and money) for women affected by period stigmas and the lack of access to sanitary products and relevant information related to menstruation around the world. We want to change perspectives and attitudes on periods, and drive any one listening to take action to end period poverty and put stigmas to an end.Want to take action? We are uniting our voices under www.thisisourperiod.org. Please click the link and sign the period promise, where you can find out more about organisations and activists working on the issue. You can follow recent events and projects by signing the period promise and following the latest on Instagram @thisisourperiod.**100% of proceeds from the live recording will support Juliana's project in Kenya; a hub to create jobs for women and ensure a steady supply of sanitary pads in rural Kenya** See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Josh Weller is one talented chap. He's has toured and played with Mumford and Sons, The Noisettes, The Maccabees, Florence and The Machine, Born Ruffians, The XX, Johnny Flynn and Paloma Faith since he began playing live in 2008. He supplies lead guitar and vocals to punk band The Kenneths, and has his own 'Excitable Boy Podcast'. Oh and Chris loves his tweets.Josh met the lads at Hoxton Square Bar and Grill and recorded a frankly epic episode that covers snare drums, top 5 top 5's, star trek, and er, poo. Josh is a very funny human being, unlike his Top 5. Enjoy gang. And thank you so much Mr Weller, you sir, smashed this See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
It is our absolute pleasure to introduce this weeks guest as Rick Edwards. The TV host met the boys at the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen to talk science stuff. Unfortunately Stu never went to school but Chris was there to geek off about all the mad science stuff Rick has discovered over his time doing Science(ish) his very own podcast. Sit back, relax, and try not to worry too much about whether or not theres a fungus that exists that could turn you into a mindless zombie. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Eric and Jeff Rosenthal are ItsTheReal - hip hop sketch comedy writers, actors, journalists and podcasters, with an incredible show called A Waste of Time with ItsTheReal (on all podcast stores now). Back in September 2017 - I organised and sponsored a live recording of their show, where they interviewed BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Semtex. Ahead of their interview with him, I interviewed them, in front of a live audience. We spoke about their background, career highs and lows, working with Kanye early in his career, including his first trip to the Grammy’s, giving yourself permission to be great (based on another chat I had with Gary Vaynerchuk), and if success were a cocktail (or mocktail in their case) - what would be the ingredients. This was easily one of my favourite podcasts to create - it’s so much fun and the 30 minute chat goes by super quick. We had some additional support on this episode because it was part of a larger event, so shout out to David Gersch, my partner on the event, Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen, in Shoreditch, London (our venue host) and One Globe Studio, our audio and video production partner. For more content from Raj Kotecha head to www.RajKotecha.com/podcasts, including his show "OPP - Other People's Podcasts", co-hosted by Grammy Award winner Fatman Scoop. This podcast is co-produced by Arjun M Shah and the intro music comes from the song "Riddem" by Hype and Fever (special thanks to them and Live Entertainment London for permission to use the audio).

Keith and Chris from We Are Scientists popped by to hang out with the boys at the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen. They may be touring the UK right now with their new album Megaplex, but that was all organised around the more important business of settling once and for all who the Top 5 Fictional Crime Fighters are.We Are Scientists are a New York City-based rock band that formed in Berkeley, California, in 2000. It consists of guitarist and vocalist Keith Murray and bass guitarist Chris Cain. The band's breakthrough success came with their first studio album, With Love and Squalor, which sold 100,000 copies in the first six months and found regular play and both Stu and Chris' hi-fi's.
