It's here! The Apex Jewel of everything that we have been working towards in this show; Zack Meisel was kind enough to join us to talk some ball. Zack shares his thoughts on everything from the state of the team now to what next year might look like with uncertainties around pitching and some other spots. He also shares some insight from what life inside the clubhouse is like for this team with them being so young, perspective that you won't find anywhere else. Zack talks about what makes José Ramirez so special, why Amed Rosario is a must have clubhouse personality, and the overall vibe of the team that has served them so well in this long, but joyous season. There's a saying in life that repeats far too often: "All good things will eventually come to an end", and sadly it is true. This is the last episode of this show for the 2022 season, as well as the last episode that will feature Chuck. Chuck is going to be stepping away to focus on some personal matters and I (Zac) fully support that as there is nothing more important in life than family. This is our recap for the games vs Thunder (12/18/19), vs Cavs (12/20/19, vs Kings (12/21/19), vs Spurs (12/23/19), and vs Thunder (12/26/19).It wasn't a great week, all things considered, but at least we won 2 of them! I (Zac) had the flu and with it being Christmas time this was the earliest we were able to record but we hit every game we missed and then broke down Zach Randolph's official retirement and what he means to the franchise long term. We also talk about Jae's horrendous shooting numbers and Tyus getting back on track and then do a mini look ahead to next summer's free agency when the Grizzlies have the 2nd highest amount of capspace. As many of you know, I don’t have a lot of “Christians” on the show.  I’m tired of them, their message and reasoning are incomplete, and their audience is enabled not empowered.  Zach is an exception to my religious profiling.  He’s educated and impassioned about bring justice to an unjust world.  He’s not defensive of the church; he's challenging it. As one who has left the church with no hope of returning.  I Zac, have nothing of value to bring them.  I left the building; I vacated the property, I'm now nothing more than an apostate, a heretic, so my opinion should be meaningless because I have chosen to desert them, not help them change.  But Zach feels differently, and I am glad he does.
