À l'issue du Comité central du MMM hier, la confirmation de Paul Bérenger que les Mauves restent au sein du gouvernement a été accueillie avec enthousiasme par les ministres et députés du parti. Tous étaient tout sourire et ont affiché leur soutien sans équivoque à leur leader. Interrogés par la presse, le ministre Adil Ameer Meea, les députés Tony Apollon et Govinden Venkatasami ainsi que le Junior Minister Fawzi Allymun ont souligné que « le travail continue » et que leur engagement envers la population reste leur priorité. Pour eux, cette décision marque une étape de stabilité et de continuité dans l'action gouvernementale.

La réunion a duré plus de 30 minutes pour ces militants. Parlementaires et die-hard mauves étaient tous présents pour écouter leur leader. Ce dernier a confirmé qu'il ne quittera pas le gouvernement, une décision qui en soulage plusieurs et qui a renforcé la confiance de ses partisans. Joanna Bérenger, ministre déléguée de l'Environnement, affirme placer sa confiance en son leader. Elle précise que Paul Bérenger travaille dans l'intérêt de la population. Karen Foo Kune, ministre déléguée des Sports, souligne que l'essentiel est de travailler pour le bien-être de tous. La ministre Arianne Navarre-Marie rappelle que le parti a traversé des moments difficiles et dit se sentir soulagée. Le travail sur le terrain continue, affirme le député Chetan Baboolall.

Paul Bérenger est arrivé à River Walk, au domicile du Dr Navin Ramgoolam, peu après 18 h. La réunion, entourée de nombreuses spéculations quant à un éventuel retrait du MMM du gouvernement, a duré environ 45 minutes. À sa sortie, le leader des Mauves est rentré directement dans sa voiture et a quitté les lieux. Contacté au téléphone par Top FM après la rencontre, Paul Bérenger a répondu, d'une voix sèche, qu'il n'avait« pas de déclaration » à faire.

100 Jahre Schweizer Hörspiel! Mit einem Stück, das Zeitgeschichte erlebbar macht wie kein zweites. 1968 machen die sogenannten Globus-Krawalle Schlagzeilen in der Schweiz. Damals eskalieren in Zürich die Proteste. Der Gewaltausbruch ist für die Schweiz ein Schock. Die Staatsmacht greift durch. In seinem ersten Original-Hörspiel für das Schweizer Radio – seinem einzigen im Dialekt – schilderte Walter Matthias Diggelmann 1970 nicht nur einen brisanten Fall von Jugendgewalt, sondern griff mitten ins aktuelle gesellschaftliche Geschehen ein. Er brachte in Form eines Prozesses den Konflikt zwischen dem konservativen Establishment und der revoltierenden Jugend von 1968 auf die Hörbühne. Durch seine Hörspielserie «Polizischt Wäckerli» wurde der Volksschauspieler und Autor Schaggi Streuli in den 1950er-Jahren einem breiten Publikum bekannt. «Polizischt Wäckerli» wurde wegen seiner Beliebtheit erfolgreich verfilmt. Es folgten zahlreiche weitere Hörspiele und Verfilmungen, wie zum Beispiel «Oberstadtgass», «Schwarzer Hecht» und «Fritz Vollenweider». «Fritz Vollenweider» war eine Auftragsarbeit von Radio Zürich und ging am 13. März 1952 – wie damals noch üblich – direkt über den Sender. Au lendemain de la rencontre entre la Minority leader, Franchette Gaspard Pierre-Louis, et le Deputy Prime Minister, c'était au tour du Chef commissaire, Franceau Grandcourt, de s'entretenir ce mercredi 27 août avec Paul Bérenger. À l'issue de cette rencontre, Franceau Grandcourt a affirmé que la dissolution de l'Assemblée régionale de Rodrigues « n'était pas à l'agenda », soulignant qu'il ne s'agit pas d'une question d'actualité. Il a rappelé que le gouvernement régional poursuit son travail et dispose d'un mandat clair jusqu'en 2027. Rappelons que le Deputy Prime Minister, Paul Bérenger avait récemment évoqué une possible dissolution de l'Assemblée régionale de Rodrigues. Invité à réagir, le chef commissaire de Rodrigues, Franceau Grandcourt, est revenu sur les récentes polémiques entourant l'île, notamment la proposition du Deputy Prime Minister, Paul Bérenger, concernant la dissolution de l'Assemblée régionale. Franceau Grandcourt a indiqué avoir échangé sur ce sujet avec de nombreux Rodriguais. « Certains craignent que l'autonomie de l'île soit menacée, tandis que d'autres estiment qu'il faut envisager l'indépendance de Rodrigues », a-t-il expliqué. Le chef commissaire a souligné que le manifeste électoral prévoit la possibilité d'organiser un référendum sur l'avenir politique de l'île. La stabilité institutionnelle de Rodrigues est-elle en péril ? Cependant, elle a choisi de ne pas faire d'autres déclarations à ce stade, indiquant qu'elle préfère attendre la réunion prévue entre le Deputy Prime Minister Paul Bérenger et le Premier ministre, le Dr Navin Ramgoolam. Given up for adoption by his 17-year-old mother, Paul B. still describes his childhood as idyllic. Growing up on a rural English farm where beer and alcohol were a normal part of every day life, any alcoholism that Paul perceived in his family had little effect on his upbringing. In fact, his own drinking didn't influence his behavior until his years at Oxford University where he rapidly became part of its rarified drinking culture. Finding everything he needed in a bottle or pint, Paul's propensity for managing his alcohol consumption belied his occasional binges and blackouts. For years after college, his professional and personal lives co-existed with his growing misuse and abuse of alcohol, Though he escaped many of the negative consequences experienced by many alcoholics, Paul's increased drinking fueled the disease that brought wreckage to his marriage and family life, and impending damage to his career. No amount of self-management could slow the downward progression of his alcoholism. Paul was forced to give up. Fortunately, he found AA before it was too late, and set upon a coarse of continuous sobriety. That was more than seven years ago and today Paul gratefully stays the course through regular meetings, good sponsorship, daily reading AA literature, prayer, and being of service to his sponsees and AA community. I believe you'll find Paul's story to be both inspiring and encouraging. It touches all the bases of a well-worked Program and provides a helpful context within which you may discover many similarities to your own story. Lists of canonical works of fiction should inspire skepticism—we all bring our own notions of quality to the books we read. But every so often, we encounter an acknowledged classic that so captures our imagination as to make us wonder why we didn't come to it earlier. Smarty Pants host Stephanie Bastek, for example, recently read Erich Maria Remarque's All Quiet on the Western Front, originally published in 1929, for the first time. And she's glad she waited: Kurt Beals's new translation faithfully mirrors the original German. Beals brings an immediacy to what has been called the greatest war novel of all time, refreshing the text for a new generation of readers who might have only seen the Netflix version of Paul Bäumer and his comrades navigating the trenches of the First World War. Media producer Paul B. Allen IV talks about the multi-generational cultural legacy of his family in north Omaha and beyond, his own international journeys exploring media and culture, and the focus of his media entity 1st Sky Omaha on news dissemination, community outreach, and citizen journalism.Being the same age as hip hop, Paul B. Allen IV was raised in Southern California in a life of music, recording studios, showcase venues, visual art, filmmaking and radio. He moved to Hawaii in his 20's where he deejayed, built musical acts, helped start a hip-hop radio station and music festivals, ran a record store and a print shop, and worked as a promoter and musician booking shows around the islands for numerous acts. From there, Allen moved to Europe in 2009 to work in film and deejaying. After coming to Omaha, where Allen's family has a long cultural heritage, he became Program Director of Mind and Soul Radio 101.3FM, a community radio station out of the Malcolm X Memorial Foundation, which evolved into Allen's 1st Sky Omaha, where the focus is now on news dissemination, community outreach, and citizen journalism training. In 2018 he started consulting on the creation of the Benson Theatre later becoming its Director of Communication. Today, Allen is focusing on his company, 1st Sky Omaha, building alternative news for East Omaha and traveling around the country to work on projects related to media, including documentary films, digital radio and video channels, and music projects.

This week, we're joined once again by a familiar face to delve into a familiar topic: Paul B and Moons Out Goons Out 2024! Moons Out Goons Out 2024 is a night vision carbine match hosted by Forgotten Weapons and supported by great companies like TNVC, Varusteleka, Refuge Medical, and many more. The match consists of several stages of carbine-only shooting at night, with only non-white light illumination sources being allowed during the entire course of the match. Our guest this week is a relatively new user of night vision devices, and Moons Out Goons Out 2024 is Paul's first venture into the competition space while using night vision. Paul B, an experienced writer affiliated with our sister sites OutdoorHub and AllOutdoor.com, had the opportunity this year to participate in the main match at Moons Out Goons Out 2024. Today, I've invited Paul to show us just how accessible attending the match can be – even for people who don't have the most expensive or latest night vision equipment. Unlike other competitors like myself who used expensive sets of night vision binoculars, Paul relied mainly on a single night vision monocular, and a relatively inexpensive gun.
