On this week's Sheer Isolation we play out the second part of our Johnny Black interview. In this part, the Devizes based music journalist talks about the time he joined a new team of writers to create the Smash Hits brand. The publication team, which launched it's first magazine in 1978, went on to produce other titles such as Mojo and Q. Johnny tells us about his Time Machine feature for Mojo - an 'On This Day' section which still lives on through his personal website. We also play the new single from The Streets which features Jazz Morley; a singer and pianist who's been performing in venues across the south west for years, but more recently has been supporting household names in cities across Europe. Our other tune is from alt rockers InAir who are performing at this year's Swindon Shuffle. Jon and Kieran also mention Wiltshire musician, Kirsty Clinch, who's new album is lighting up the iTunes charts.. Lan Chi's profile includes over 26 years of engineering experience with 23 years in the indoor environment field. She holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the �?cole Polytechnique of Montr�©al and a Masters in Applied Science in Building Environment from Concordia University in Montr�©al, Qu�©bec. Lan Chi has served as President of the Ottawa Valley Chapter of ASHRAE and of the Ottawa Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council. She is currently serving on the Environmental Health Committee and TC1.12 for ASHRAE and on the technical committee for Healthy Building 2015, Boulder, Colorado. Donald Weekes, CIH is InAIR Environmental's Certified Industrial Hygienist and has been providing environmental and occupational health and safety assistance for more than 35 years. He is affiliated with the American Industrial of Hygiene Association (AIHA) as past Chair of the Indoor Environmental Quality Committee and as a Fellow of the Association. He is a four-time recipient of the AIHAâ??s Best Seller award for the "Report of the Microbial Task Force" in 2001 and 2002, the "Assessment, Remediation and Post-Remediation Verification of Mold in Buildings" publication in 2004, and the Green Book, aka "Recognition, Evaluation and Control of Indoor Mold", book in 2008.

Lingospot, a provider of automatic scene-level TV metatags and metacontent, last week announced a partnership with "augmented TV" company, SeeSpace. The latter has developed an ACR-enabled device dubbed InAiR, which, when connected via HDMI between a TV and a set-top box, enhances programming with what the company describes as "a rich, dynamic and animated viewer experience using the main TV screen as well as the space between the screen and the viewer" (the experience is designed to work on 2D, 3D and 4K TV's). The deal with Lingospot will see the latter powering the content for InAiR's augmented-TV experience: the company uses natural language processing, semantic search, image analysis and machine learning technologies to analyze "multiple modalities" of a TV broadcast and automatically extract metadata; and then enhances TV viewing by adding relevant metacontent, such as articles, photos and tweets.In this recorded interview with [itvt] editor-in-chief Tracy Swedlow, Lingospot co-founder and CEO, Nikos Iatropoulos, and SeeSpace co-founder, Anne-Marie Roussel, discuss their companies' new deal and the ways in which they are collaborating to enhance the viewing experience. 

Nam Do is currently CEO of SeeSpace and invented InAiR which overlays Internet content on the TV screen and InAiR interface transforms TV into an astonishing Minority Report-like experience. Prior to form SeeSpace, he was Co-Founder/CEO of Emotiv, world leader in brain computer interface technologies. Nam also co-founded and ran SASme, a pioneer in providing SMPP platforms to telecommunication carriers and content aggregators in Australia and Asia. In 2007, Nam was voted as one of Australia's Top 10 Digital Entrepreneurs.

Interview: Co-Founder, Dale Herigstad, on SeeSpace's New "Augmented Television" Device, InAiRAt CES earlier this month, SeeSpace, a start-up co-founded by multiple-Emmy-winning interactive media designer, Dale Herigstad, unveiled an ACR-enabled "augmented television" device dubbed InAiR, that analyzes the programming the viewer is watching, and overlays related content. The content is presented via an innovative and graphically rich user interface (as one would expect from Herigstad, who, among other things, was part of the research team that developed the digital interfaces that were a central element of the Spielberg movie, "Minority Report") which is designed for use on both 3D and 2D TV's. The interface can be navigated via a smartphone app or via gestural control systems such as Leap Motion and Kinect. Herigstad and his co-founders, entrepreneur Nam Do and investor Anne-Marie Roussel, recently set up a Kickstarter page to fund the manufacturing, marketing and roll-out of the InAiR device.In this recorded interview with [itvt]'s editor-in-chief, Tracy Swedlow, Herigstad discusses the thinking behind InAiR, SeeSpace's plans for the future, and more.
