We head to the HQ of one of Australia's best new up and coming Hot Sauce companies as Chef Jibba tries to make "Hot Sauce Great Again!!" NO CRYING IN THE COOLROOM is a chef industry podcast dedicated to the milk crate conversations, kitchen battle-scars, and shared psychological traumas of a lifetime lived in hospitality. Tim Kershaw - a comedian; and Lachie Sheridan - a food content creator, are two no-nonsense Ex-Chefs who found a recent friendship in their shared experiences as young kids growing up in the very hard, very real, very underpaid culinary world. Now friends residing in Perth, Tim and Lachie sit down with a kitchens list of current and ex-culinary guests to peel back their own psychological layers and use this podcast to re-live kitchen culture, tell horror stories, discuss current food trends, and share their new life's outside of hospitality …. And! Rip-on the celebrity chef movement and any other food trend bull##it that's popped up in the last 10 years. NO CRYING IN THE COOLROOM is our little world that re-creates all those things that are usually never seen or said outside of a the safe confines of a dark basement kitchen. @timfoilhat @perthdudefood

This one's a Mike & Zack episode, all Jibba, no Jabba! Ok, actually there's plenty of Jabba. Mike talks about feeling a bit nervous about an upcoming comic featuring some of his local politicians, Zack has a new short comic up on Study Group and discusses what goes into collecting serialized work into a satisfying book experience, specifically in relation to his long running Secret Voice series. We also talk Rose City Comic-Con, which Zack just got back from, and the coming week's show SPX. Unofficial episode producer Tom Spurgeon provides multiple questions for us to riff on, which mainly sends us down to a little place we like to call Memory Lane. We *may* spend some time talking about that time we elbowed a famous cartoonist in the head, as well as the immortal Warriors of Plasm. It's a real Process Party Potpourri!

In this week's episode, the guys kick it with The Recipe by the Dukkan. Swerte, Kaz, and P-Storm hung out with OT and Jibba, while they talked about their music, the challenges they faced as artists, their work with other artists such as Prodigy & Talib Kweli, why they had to break from the scene, and how being 3rd culture kids inspired their brand repositioning. As the project grew and began generating regional interest, the collective began receiving invites to perform at live events. Upon completion of the mixtape the collective launched the project under the name “The Recipe” with a sold out event, the first Hip Hop show headlined by regional artists. The Recipe would eventually evolve into an independent label acting as a vehicle to launch solo projects from members such as Young Vaughn's “New School Cool,” and Perfect Storm's “The Calm Before”, Kaz Money's “The Ridicule/ The Opposition” as well as Swerte's “The Quicktape” series. They have also released multiple mixtapes as a group. Today, The Recipe is a group that consists of 3 MC's working on an official studio album while continuing to perform and push the boundaries of regional hip hop achievements. As a group or individuals, The Recipe have performed at clubs, art shows, exhibitions, festivals, charity gigs and concerts, either as the main act or in support of international artists such as: Snoop Dogg, Fat Boy Slim, Akon, Fat Joe, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, De La Soul, Marcus Houston, Omarion, Lloyd, Prime Cuts, Foreign Beggars, Pendulum and Karl Wolf. https://therecipedxb.com Instagram | Facebook | Twitter | YouTube | SoundCloud ---- Swerte: Instagram | Facebook | Twitter Kaz Money: Instagram | Facebook | Twitter P-Storm: Instagram | Twitter See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
