Ash, Luttsy and Nikki broadcast live from a marine tank at the Daydream Island Resort, taking in the beautiful underwater scenery. They chat about the resort amenities, get a sports update from guest Jonathan Brown, and even convince their producer Lachie to put on a wetsuit and dive into the tank for an underwater show. It's lighthearted fun as the hosts joke about Lachie's "baby diver" antics, engage with listener calls about weird dad hacks, and look ahead to an important upcoming Broncos game. Massive crowds, upsets, and an NPL Victoria team in the Australia Cup final for the first time: it was a good weekend to be a football fan in Melbourne. Josh, Lachie and Ivka dive deep into Dandenong Thunder's failure to launch at home to Hajduk. Why can't Adam Piddick's teams seem to win in the finals? And could Dandy City become the first 6th-placed team to make it to the big dance? Preston brought 2,000 raucous supporters to Jack Edwards Reserve, and banished the ghosts of their infamous 4-0 defeat in Round 20 by knocking out the reigning champions. With just one goal conceded in seven games, could a watertight defence be Preston's path to glory? Meanwhile, Auckland becomes Heidelberg's latest A-League victim, while Avondale and Luca Tevere come up just short against the Newcastle Jets. There's a full preview of this weekend's revised VPL1 playoff match-ups, and a tasty set of NPL semi finals as the Bergers host Preston on Friday before Dandy City travel to Avenger Park on Sunday afternoon. The final round is in the books! Josh, Lachie and Ivka salute Avondale for lifting the Premiership - and ponder how on earth the star-studded Avengers have managed to concoct a siege mentality.Meanwhile, the relegated Sharks stun Heidelberg with two screamers to nab a point, Thunder shuffle the pack in a defeat to impregnable Preston, and a few teams appear to already be drinking pina coladas and getting caught in the rain.In VPL1, George Cross demolish Western United 8-0, returning to the top flight for the first time since 2010. Bentleigh Greens are back in the big time as well, coming from behind against Northcote City to seal the title, while Melbourne City's young guns lose their nerve away at Dunstan Reserve. And in VPL2, an insane final day of action sees Nunawading City and Whittlesea survive by the skin of their teeth, while North Geelong Warriors cap off a memorable season with silverware. In Episode 76 of The Steak Lad Experience, I sat down with Melbourne based musician Lachie Gill. Lachie is the first person to be a repeat guest on the show and has since become a great friend of mine. During the podcast we touched on the recent struggles he has faced in between releasing music, the main learnings from our past conversation (which was almost a year ago to the day), the excitement that came his new song “Give Me A Little”, how challenging it is to make it in the music industry, the uncertainty/excitement that comes from going on tour, how to overcome self doubt, and much much more. This conversation was a very enjoyable one on many levels for myself personally and I have no doubt anyone listening will feel the same! If you enjoyed it, I would greatly appreciate 5 stars on Spotify/Apple Podcasts or a subscription on YouTube, the support I get makes it so much easier to keep going!!! "Johnny A is the best coach outside the A-League" - or so goes the conventional wisdom. But after Heidelberg's 7-0 aggregate win over two A-League sides in the Australia Cup, has he surpassed some of his professional counterparts? Josh, Lachie and Ivka break down the Bergers' cup triumph over Wellington, as well as a heartbreaking 1-1 stoppage time draw with Oakleigh that leaves Avondale with the upper hand on the final day. Over at Frank Holohan, the only thing more disgraceful than the state of the playing surface was the listless performances of the Knights players. The 7-1 shellacking confirms their first relegation since the 1970s - where did it all go so wrong? Plus, Preston eke out a 1-0 win at Gully thanks to Ryan Scott's heroics, a Sean Ellis masterclass keeps Bentleigh in prime position for promotion, and Northcote selfishly ruin the final day drama in VPL1.The NPL Victoria Podcast is brought to you in 2025 by Melville Bodyworks, located at 106 Melville Rd Brunswick West. Some salient lessons in succession planning were aired during last Friday's annual Rural Press Cub breakfast held as part of the Brisbane Ekka, where three generations of the Hart family from Stockyard Beef shared the stage in front of an audience of 700. Founder Robin Hart, his son Lachie and granddaughter Ali later sat down with Weekly Grill host Kerry Lonergan to talk about multi-generational farm sector businesses and how they have made it work. Key to the narrative was the deliberate steps taken at Stockyard to manage the inter-generational transition, evolving from a “family business” into a “business family” approach. Each generation of Harts brought their own skill-set to the business, with the third generation of family members (Ali and her sister Bec) bringing purpose, innovation and fresh perspectives, the audience heard. The Weekly Grill is brought to listeners by Rhinogard and Bovi-Shield MH-One - the One Shot, One Spray, One Time BRD Vaccines by Zoetis.
Half-time substitute Campbell Dovison was the unlikely hero for South Melbourne as they successfully defended the Dockerty Cup trophy in a thrilling and controversial win over Heidelberg. Josh, Lachie and Ivka discuss the decisions that went against the Bergers, and how South's bravery under Sinisa Cohadzic resulted in a cup final classic. Plus, there's plenty of Australia Cup action to break down, including Johnny A's masterclass against A-League opposition, Avondale maintaining Victorian supremacy against NSW, Nunawading taking Wellington to the wire and South's run ironically ending in a barrage of long throws. And to finish, we look ahead to Round 25 and the permutations for the rest of the season. Nick, Lachie, Josh and Ivka go full Gary Neville after an un-bee-leeevable finish at Avenger Park. Why was there so much stoppage time? Why did Heidelberg end up with one defender left on the pitch? And do Avondale have the mental advantage heading into the finals? Over at Churchill Reserve, Preston put in their most mature, disciplined performance of the season as they clinically dispatched in-form St Albans. Could the Lions be a smoky for the playoffs? Plus, a Steven Bradbury-esque finish is brewing in the race for sixth as Hume, Dandy City and Green Gully stumble over the line, and the Knights need a mathematical miracle to avoid the drop. The NPL Victoria Podcast is brought to you in 2025 by Melville Bodyworks, located at 106 Melville Rd Brunswick West. Our Nova Podcast cousins, Jadé Tunchy and Lachie Brycki, join us this week on The Heart Of It for a refreshingly candid conversation that goes far beyond their viral TikToks and huge social media following. We rewind to their childhoods, dive into cultural traditions, and explore the beautiful (and sometimes chaotic) shift into parenthood. From their hilarious first meeting at a nightclub (where Lachie jokes Jadé was “stalking” him), to the moment Lachie discovered his dad had been hiding a second language his whole life, to Jadé opening up about bullying as a kid. It was clear their were so many layers to this gorgeous couple. Their story is grounded in humour, respect, and a whole lot of love. And is proof that not taking yourselves too seriously might just be the key to making it work. Nick W and Natho sit to discuss the Reds 52-12 loss to the Lions - and are joined by fellow pigeon and Scrumbags' own Lachie Grey. WARNING: a ripper belch and some swearing. My very special guest on this episode of the It's All Possible Podcast is 200 plus Game AFL (Australian Football League) player Lachie Henderson. Originally from the Geelong area, Lachie played with the Brisbane Lions, Carlton and Geelong. He also got to work with three of the greatest AFL Coaches in Leigh Matthews, Mick Malthouse and Chris Scott. After leaving the fast paced, high profile life of an AFL Footballer and elite sports person where you are provided with the structure and guidance to ensure you are at your best for game day, Lachie set out to create the next chapter of his life. This was something that was not as easy as it sounds and Lachie and I dive into the pitfalls for elite sports people when they leave the sporting world.Lachie has now reinvented himself today as a successful entrepreneur as a Business Broker and Merger & Acquisition specialist in financial services especially with his business KNCT.I want to thank Lachie for his openness, honesty and transparency especially concerning the move from sports person to life after sport. You can more about Lachies new business at www.knct.com.au and on his LinkedIn and Instagram accounts for KNCT.

We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Jens and Lachie — better known on stage as Skank Sinatra and Iva Rosebud — to this week’s episode of The Heart Of It. Not only are they partners in life, but also creative collaborators who perform together as drag artists, dazzling audiences across Australia and around the world. By day, Lachie works as a landscaper, and by night, the pair transform into their fabulous alter-egos, combining love, art, and sequins into one unforgettable act. Their story began during the COVID lockdowns — a time of isolation for many, but for Jens and Lachie, it was the spark that ignited both a deep romantic connection and a bold creative partnership. This episode dives into identity, artistry, queer love, and the power of finding your person — on and off the stage. At just 24, Rebecca Klodinsky turned $2,000 into a global swimwear brand, IIXIIST, worn by the likes of Kylie Jenner, Rihanna, Hailey Bieber. and Kim Kardashian. Built without investors, retail stores, or influencer hype, she proved that smart digital strategy and authentic branding could outperform traditional retail.Nine years later, Rebecca co-founded The Prestwick Place, a modern, ethical fine jewellery brand, alongside her husband, former AFL player Lachie Henderson. Focused on lab-grown diamonds, bespoke craftsmanship, and transparent pricing, the brand has redefined luxury for the next generation, scaling to over $3 million in annual sales with 75% of purchases coming directly from Instagram.Bec likes to solve problems. She couldn't find the bikini she wanted, so she went to Indonesia and found a factory that would make it for her. When she and Lachie started talking about tying the knot in 2020, the more Bec learned about the diamond trade and what a ‘bad investment' mined diamonds were, she learnt all she could about the lab-grown trade. I wanted to hear more from Bec on how she built not one, but two powerhouse brands as well as having two young children and navigating all that entails. If you're into disrupting industries, building high-conversion brands, or redefining what modern luxury looks like, this one's for you. Let's dive in.For more information about Rebecca, check out these places;-Website: Prestwick PlaceInstagram: Preswick PlacePodcast: Two Wrongs Make a RebeccaHead to michellejcox.com for more information about the ONE QUESTION podcast, your host or today's guestsConnect with Michelle on Linkedin here:- @MichelleJCoxConnect with Michelle on Instagram here:- @michellejcoxConnect with Michelle on Facebook here - @michellejcoxAND, if you have a burning topic you'd love people to talk more about, or know someone who'd be great to come on the One Question podcast, please get in touch;-
