Singapore and Southeast Asia face a heightened risk of severe transboundary haze in the second half of 2026, driven by the return of El Niño, drier weather and mounting economic pressures that could increase forest and peatland fires. The warning comes ahead of the 27th Sub-Regional Ministerial Steering Committee on Transboundary Haze Pollution in Bali, where regional leaders will discuss efforts to prevent another major haze episode. A rare red alert has been issued over the risk of severe haze in Southeast Asia, with experts warning that the region could face one of its hottest and driest periods on record in the months ahead. Ewen tells Rosalind all about leaving the corporate world to work in street food, developing the business and how being part of BBC's Million Pound Menu has affected the business.  She also chats to Joseph Radford one of the owners of Haze, Montrose and Timberyard and Chef, Bartholomew Stratfold who works across all three establishments. Haze  serves a carefully curated menu of small plates—think European wine bar—as well as breakfast and coffee.
