Koen Van Bockstal (1961) is platenbaas geweest, hij was ondermeer de baas van platenfirma BMG en van Sony. Hij is directeur geweest van het huidige Literatuur Vlaanderen, en hij heeft het VAF geleid, het fonds dat de filmsubsidies uitdeelt. Hij was ook gedelegeerd bestuurder van Oxfam en algemeen directeur van UNICEF België. Piet Goddaer van Ozark Henry noemde zijn naam in deze podcast toen het over Haruki Murakami ging.Koen Van Bockstal woont in Gentbrugge bij Gent samen met zijn vrouw Heidi. In een open brief zegt een onderzoeksrechter dat ons land stilaan een 'narcostaat' aan het worden is. Klopt dit volgens nationaal drugscommissaris Ine Van Wymersch? Brainrot er populært slang for, hvordan det ligegyldige indhold, især mange unge ser på sociale medier, påvirker deres hjerner. Ramus Lund-Nielsen har blandt andet skrevet bogen ”Tetris-effekten”, der advarer danskerne om konsekvenserne ved især deres børns vidtgående skærmforbrug. Måske er konsekvenserne ikke kun isoleret til børns sundhed – måske kommer velfærdsstaten også til at opleve konsekvenserne af ”et brainrottet skærmforbrug.” Det og meget andet diskuterer ekspertpanelet, der består af Jes Brinchman (direktør i CEPOS) og forskningschef Karsten Bo Larsen. Udover konsekvenserne ved ”brainrot” kommer eksperterne også ind på, hvad vælgerne går mest op i til kommunalvalget samt, hvad vælgerne måske bør gå mest op i.Der skal selvfølgelig også kåres en vinder af både ugens skævert og lyspunkt. Ingrid Post (programmadirecteur energietransitie Noordzeekanaalgebied) en Kees Noorman (directeur van ORAM, de grote ondernemers in de Metropoolregio Amsterdam) praten over de optelsom aan grote uitdagingen die kenmerkend is voor wereldhavens. Van de toekomst van Tata Steel tot de beveiliging tegen drones. Strategische industrie is voor Europa essentieel, maar tegelijkertijd moet die ook verduurzamen en lange termijn perspectief houden. Boudewijn Siemons richt de blik op heel die delta en de eeuwenoude rol als poort van Europa. Hoe houden we die vast? In elk geval is - zoals in vroeger eeuwen - de relatie en de afstemming met Antwerpen markant verbeterd. En hij benadrukt dat er geen tak van industrie in de havens is die niet intensief verduurzaamt. Le géant du cloud Cloudflare vient de lancer un outil gratuit qui permet enfin de bloquer les robots d'intelligence artificielle venus aspirer les contenus du web pour entraîner leurs modèles.Jusqu'ici, les géants de l'IA pouvaient librement explorer les sites, collecter textes, images ou données pour nourrir leurs algorithmes — souvent sans consentement ni compensation. Cloudflare a donc décidé de reprendre la main en ajoutant une nouvelle couche de protection au fameux fichier robots.txt, celui que chaque site utilise pour indiquer aux robots ce qu'ils peuvent ou non indexer. Concrètement, l'entreprise introduit un système à trois feux tricolores.Le signal « search » autorise les moteurs de recherche à indexer le contenu de manière classique.« ai-input » gère l'accès des IA qui veulent utiliser ce contenu pour générer des réponses.Et « ai-train » détermine s'il peut servir à l'entraînement de nouveaux modèles.Autrement dit, un média pourra continuer à apparaître sur Google, tout en interdisant à ChatGPT, Claude ou Gemini de s'entraîner sur ses articles. Une innovation saluée par tout l'écosystème numérique. Reddit, Quora ou encore Stack Overflow y voient un moyen concret de « protéger Internet contre les abus et l'exploitation non autorisée du contenu ».Le constat de Matthew Prince, le patron de Cloudflare, est sans appel : « Internet ne peut pas attendre pendant que le contenu des créateurs est exploité à des fins lucratives par d'autres entreprises. » Et il y a urgence. La firme estime que le trafic des robots dépassera celui des humains d'ici 2029. Déjà, plus de 3,8 millions de sites bénéficient automatiquement de cette protection via les services Cloudflare. Et pour faciliter la vie des non-techniciens, la société a lancé ContentSignals.org, un générateur gratuit du code à insérer sur son site. Burke is mentioned on many podcasts because we all want to discuss the famous Lufthansa. I want to talk about Henry Hill, some of the other mob people in the Lucchese family, but it seems like I wasn't really finding a show that was just focused on Burke. So, James, Jimmy the Gent, Burke and where he came from and where he went. Now, Burke may be one of the most famous mob associates of all times, I would say. Oh, there's some in Chicago. They had a lot of associates in Chicago. But because of, of course, Henry Hill and Robert De Niro playing him, [1:07] why, he probably would be the most famous mob guy who is not a made man. If Henry Hill had not gone into witness protection, if Henry Hill had not done that book with Nicholas Pelleggi, Wise Guys, or if the famous filmmaker Martin Scorsese hadn't taken Wise Guys and Pellegi's book and got Pellegi to help write a script and titled it Goodfellas. And when Robert De Niro took the part of Jimmy the Gent, his place in history was assured, I'll tell you that, especially in mob history. In my humble opinion, this book and film were arguably the best depictions of day-to-day mob life ever that I've ever seen. I thought it was amazing. He did a heck of a job at the casino. [1:55] And to see the egos of these guys, once they turn, are just amazing. When Lefty Rosenthal heard Robert De Niro was going to play him, he told Pelleggio, oh yeah, I'll work with you, I'll work on this. And I'm not sure what brought Henry Hill around,
