Jo Dworschak has been telling stories (and lies) her whole life, which makes her the perfect host for her monthly Story Story Lie show (which doubles as a podcast). In this episode, she talks about riding her horse to the corner store to buy smokes, being a hobo, how giving a funeral speech got her into performing, taking a cross-Canada road trip with her kid, and tits.

Tony and Sam host a very special and lovely guest - local performer and podcaster, Jo Dworschak. The three meet for the first time and discuss what it’s like to create and run a game show. Jo gives some very interesting insight into what her podcast and live show, Story Story Lie, is all about. Other topics covered include how men can’t multitask, the US Constitution, living on wild Vargas Island with cougars, failed jokes, Craigslist prizes, Scientology, Wonder Woman controversy, asking women if they’re expecting, and more. Check out Story Story Lie on your favourite podcast platform or at one of the live shows right here in Vancouver! This week, we’ve got ravishing raconteur Jo Dworschak, host and producer of the live storytelling show, Story, Story, Lie, and soon to be the hands on the wheel for Families Across Canada, a road trip (and a to-be-written book) with her giant teen son! They’ll interview people, and, well, families…across Canada… You know, the title really does its job there. We spelunk the depths of depression together (content warning for frank talk of death and suicide), bemoan a lack of discount valentine’s chocolate, and co-write a Tom Waits musical on Anne of Green Gables.
