IndieRE : Independent Radio Exchange Production : Radio Student Lljubljana Two releases from the Radio Študent label ZARŠ, ambiental electronic compilation Senzorama vol.1 and rock trio Psihedelavci. LELEE and Nulla with their respective releases. This year's roster of Klubski maraton residents, focusing on the jazz trio birds of unknown. - Lets kick it off with Lelee which were performing at Klubski maraton 2020. The trio consists of Jelena Rusjan on bass, drummer Jan Kmet and vocalist Damjan Manevski. Their music is a kind of indie garage rock with an urban balkan pathos stemming from the concrete playgrounds of the grey brutalistic districts, so common to former Yugoslav nations. Nulla is a young, up and coming producer from Ljubljana. She recently released her debut which was a split EP she did with with another producer dvidevat. The EP titled 068/078-1 was released on the 11th of May on the label Kamizdat. It features 20 artists all coming from their own idiosyncrasies in the sound but all of them connected through experimentation and exploration of ambiental sounds. The compilation came out as a result of an anniversary of its namesake show on Radio Študent. It was released on the 28th of May on ZARŠ Records, a record label also run by Radio Študent. The song you just heard is called Unity, by trio Psihedelavci. The group consists of the vocalist Nastja Janežkovič, guitarist Martin Ukmar and drummer Samo Pavlica - Linč. All three of them are in their own right prolific artists in the regional alternative rock scene. zZemljoples is the name of this album that came out on the 11th of June. From this year's roster we will feature tracks by the urban hiphop project xm1, hardcore punk group Opran Možgan and a contemporary jazz trio birds of unknown. The latter came together through music studies and are weaving a salon oriented approach in their performances with guitar, saxophone and vocals. The tracks are deeply embedded with lush jazz harmonies, crisp vocals and different genre influences. Safe Place. The Time of Wind and Waters Author: beepblip "Terrans tend to feel they've got to get ahead, make progress. The people of Winter, who always live in the Year One, feel that progress is less important than presence." — Ursula Le Guin, The Left Hand of Darkness They say time stretches out in a place where the pace of technological progress has not caught up with the people's ambitions. For a newcomer, the village of Letea, on the brink of the ancient Letea Forest connected to the vast wetland of Danube Delta, may be the place for quiet contemplation, the time to reconnect with the wild and find one's inner peace. It is peculiar how this imaginary safe unspoiled place full of wildlife is contrasted with the harsh infertile land, cruel and violent for human and non-human animals alike. The voyage to these lands was much deeper than expected. The piece is a psycho-geographical memory of the safe place of wind and waters. Sound piece created during the SONIC FUTURE RESIDENCIES organized by Asociația Jumătatea plină and SEMI SILENT to Letea Village, Tulcea County, Romania in June-July 2019. beepblip [Ida Hiršenfelder] makes immersive bleepy psycho-geographical soundscapes by use of analogue electronics, DIY and modular synths, field recordings and computer manipulations. She is interested in bioacoustics, experimental and microtonal music. She was a member of Theremidi Orchestra (2011–2017) DIY sound collective, performing at over 30 international venues for media art such as Piksel (Bergen), LiWoLi (Linz), Spektrum (Berlin), Radiona (Zagreb), Eyebeam (New York), Zagorje Noise Fest International (Trbovlje), Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova (Ljubljana), Artos (Nicosia), KSEVT (Vitanje), Kino Šiška (Ljubljana). She collaborates with media artist Robertina Šebjanič and sound artist Aleš Hieng – Zergon on a series of chemical sound installations (Time Displacement / Chemobrionic Garden; Sound Disposition / Crystal Garden). She is a member of radioCona bioacoustics collective (Steklenik Gallery for Sound, Bioacustics and Art). Roman Pavlin je človek, pri katerem lahko kupite izborne LPje. Dušan Hedl je eden ključnih mož neodvisnega založništva, tudi eden prvih. Janez Dovč je glasbenik, pa tudi umetniški vodja Celinke. Luka Prinčič ima založbo Kamizdat in izdaja plošče, ki so umetniški izdelki, zaznamovani z našo minljivostjo. Toda, ali je glasba minljiva ? Ne, tega pa mojih gostov nisem vprašal. Sicer pa sem z njimi govoril v Kinu Šiška, kjer je bil prejšnji teden sejem neodvisnih glasbenih založb, 7. Tresk. Bilo je hrupno in preobilno, sogovorniki pa v darilo vsem nam. Podcast se imenuje POGOVARJA SE FRANCI KAPLER, tokrat pa ga je omogočila založba Klopotec.
