Po vrnitvi s kolesarskega romarja Ljubljana - Čenstohova in prevoženih 1000 km smo strnili prve vtise. Splošna ocena Romarjev upanja je, da je za nami bogato duhovno, potovalno in športno doživetje, ki nas je še bolj povezalo med seboj. V oddajo se je oglasil Janez Rožman, ki z ženo Ano kolesari nazaj v Slovenijo, s svojimi vtisi pa sta sodelovala še Simon Jurkovič in Andrej Jerman.

Oddajo Kulturni utrinki smo začeli s stoletnico ene najprepoznavnejših slovenskih dramskih igralk Ivanke Mežan, ki je s svojim glasom zaznamovala tudi delovanje našega radia. V Mestnem muzeju Ljubljana je na ogled razstava novih arheoloških odkritij zadnjih izkopavanj na grajski bastiji Ljubljanskega gradu. Nekaj o razstavi in odkritjih nam bo povedal vodja projekta in kustos razstave Martin Horvat.

Dramaturg Goran Schmidt je skoraj antologijsko mladinsko delo, ki je zaznamovalo številne generacije, pred okroglimi tremi desetletji leta 1996 priredil za radio in ga prepletel s filozofijo lorda Baden-Powella, ustanovitelja skavtskega gibanja. Zdi se, da so razmisleki o tej plemeniti dejavnosti mladih, ki jo v slovenščini poimenujemo tudi tabortništvo ali gozdovništvo, pravšnji za prihajajoči počitniški čas. Tudi prvi skavtski tabor na svetu je bil namreč organiziran poleti, med 1. in 8. avgustom leta 1907 na angleškem otoku Brownsea. V drugem delu z naslovom Taborjenje spoznamo veščine te priljubljene oblike bivanja v naravi. Predstavljamo prejemnike nagrad Festivala poezije v Velenju, Lirikonfesta. Letošnja novost je jubilejna velenjica – čaša nesmrtnosti. Nagrado ob 20-letnici podeljevanja tako prvič namenjajo za vrhunski desetletni pesniški opus. Prejel jo bo pesnik, pisatelj in dramatik Milan Dekleva.Monografska publikacija z naslovom Nič več te ni je zgodba o igralki in pesnici Mili Kačič, ki jo je zasnoval Marijan Rupert, vodja Rokopisne zbirke in nacionalnega literarnega arhiva, obsežno zapuščino umetnice, ki priča o njeni izjemni umetniški siili, hranijo v Narodni in univerzitetni knjižnici v Ljubljani. Predstavljamo še letošnje prejemnike Župančičeve nagrade, najvišjega priznanja Mestne občine Ljubljana za vrhunske stvaritve na področju umetnosti.

Kako je morje postalo sinonim za oddih, svobodo in poletne spomine? Z izbranimi predmeti, slikami, fotografijami in oblačili nas na zgodovinsko popotovanje poletnih oddihov na morski obali popelje razstava Gremo na morje v Mestnem muzeju Ljubljana in razkriva vpogled v zgodovino obiskovanja morja: od prvih aristokratskih obiskov obmorskih krajev v 19. stoletju do množičnega turizma v drugi polovici 20. stoletja.

Med poudarke tega tedna med drugim sodi potrditev Ignacije Fridl Jarc za novo ministrico za kulturo, in predstavljamo nekaj načrtov za prihodnje delovanje in urejanje področja, za katerega je omenjeno ministrstvo pristojno. V nadaljevanju se posvečamo novi knjigi Slavoja Žižka Kdo si ti? Tema in šest variacij, skladatelju Dušanu Bavdku, letošnjemu prejemniku Kozinove nagrade in pa retrospektivni razstavi arhitektke in industrijske oblikovalke Bibe Bertok, ki je predvsem v sedemdesetih, pa tudi osemdesetih letih preteklega stoletja zaznamovala slovensko pohištveno industrijo. Prihajajoči poletni čas v Mestnem muzeju Ljubljana pričakujejo z razstavo z naslovom Gremo na morje. Pod naslovom Nič ni neizogibno, dokler se ne zgodi, v ljubljanski Cukrarni predstavljajo delo britanskega umetnika Phila Collinsa, s čemer se začenja nova serija videorazstav.

Rezi, prekrivanja, šivi in fragmenti podob – to je način, kako poskuša svet razumeti umetnica Tanja Lažetić, ki že več desetletij raziskuje razmerja med vidnim in skritim in pa teme vsakdana, spomina, identitete. Pri tem se medijsko ne omejuje – ob knjigi umetnice, fotografiji, videu, keramiki, instalaciji in performansu se v zadnjem času nekoliko presenetljivo obrača k slikarstvu. V Mestni galeriji Ljubljana je na ogled njena razstava z naslovom Laž, ki med drugim prinaša tudi delo Dialog v kuhinji, 2. del. Gre za dialog umetnice z orodjem umetne inteligence o njenem delu, v katerem igra samo sebe in sprašuje, ali bi Tanja Lažetić tako tudi odgovorila. In kaj je odgovorila Izi Pevec?

Naslednji konec tedna bo Ljubljana gostila že 45. kolesarski maraton Franja. Prireditev velja za najbolj množično kolesarsko prireditev v Sloveniji. Organizatorji napovedujejo še večjo udeležbo kot lani in porast prijavljenih udeležencev iz tujine na kronometru. Tridnevni dogodek bo gotovo tudi letos privabil veliko rekreativnih in amaterskih kolesarjev.

Mesto žensk je pionirska feministična organizacija, osredotočena na enakost spolov v umetnosti in kulturi. Zavezano je umetnosti in kritični teoriji, pa tudi feminističnim, kvirovskim in postkolonialnim študijam ter predano temeljnim vrednotam enakosti, različnosti in solidarnosti. Mesto žensk že več kot trideset let daje vidnost umetnicam, teoretičarkam in aktivistkam z vsega sveta. Javnost ozavešča o nesorazmerni zastopanosti žensk v umetnosti in kulturi ter si prizadeva za izboljšanje njihovih delovnih pogojev. Leta 2019 je Mesto žensk prejelo prestižno nagrado za kulturo Princess Margriet, ki jo podeljuje Evropska kulturna fundacija (ECF), kar trikrat pa nagrado EFFE Label, ki jo Evropsko združenje festivalov (EFA) podeljuje festivalom, posvečenim umetnosti, sodelovanju z lokalno skupnostjo ter evropskim in globalnim nazorom. Društvo za promocijo žensk v kulturi – Mesto žensk – je leta 2022 prejelo tudi nagrado glavnega mesta Ljubljana za »poudarjanje pomena bojev za enakopravnost žensk in s tem bogatenja mesta Ljubljana«, leta 2023 pa priznanje za strokovno delo na področju sociologije Slovenskega sociološkega društva. O nastanku, zgodovini in vlogi Mesta žensk sta spregovorili programski vodji Pia Brezavšček in Jasmina Založnik, ki ju je pred mikrofon povabila avtorica in voditeljica oddaje Tita Mayer.

Danes se središče Ljubljane spreminja v veliko odprto znanstveno učilnico. Hiša eksperimentov, ki letos praznuje 30 let delovanja, med 29. in 31. majem 2026 pripravlja že 17. Znanstival – največji festival promocije znanosti, znanstvenega razmišljanja in izobraževanja pri nas. Dogajanje bo tri dni potekalo na ulicah in trgih v središču Ljubljane, namenjenih pešcem, pa tudi v prostorih Hiše eksperimentov. Ljubljana bo tako konec tedna znova v znamenju radovednosti, raziskovanja in ustvarjalnosti za vse generacije.

Teden dni po prisegi Janeza Janše na mesto premierja novo koalicijo od sestave vlade loči še potrjevanje ministrske ekipe. 15 kandidatov se bo na parlamentarnih zaslišanjih predstavilo v ponedeljek in torek, o celotni ministrski ekipi bodo poslanci po pričakovanjih odločali v četrtek. Drugi poudarki oddaje: -Ameriški predsednik Trump: odločitev o mirovnem dogovoru z Iranom bom sprejel še danes. -Mestna občina Ljubljana bo umaknila novo ureditev parkiranja v soseskah, referenduma kljub zadostni podpori za njegov razpis ne bo. -Kajakašica Eva Alina Hočevar z izjemno finalno vožnjo v Tacnu do prve zmage v svetovnem pokalu.

On the occasion of the exhibition Vienna–Copenhagen. Den Frie Udstilling 2026 at the artists' association Den Frie in Copenhagen, the co-organisers Sofie Thorsen and Henrik Plenge Jakobsen talk with the art historian and curator Vanessa Joan Müller about, among other things, the model of the artists' association, its historical roots, and the collaborative work and lively exchange leading up to the current exhibition. For the exhibition, the artists' association Den Frie Udstilling invited their colleagues from the sister institution, Vienna Secession, to participate as guest exhibitors. 45 artists from Den Frie Udstilling present their work in dialogue with 125 Austrian artist colleagues from Vienna Secession. Like Den Frie, the Secession was founded in the 1890s, and the two institutions remain among the few exhibition venues in Europe still owned and run by artists. As is the case of Den Frie Udstilling, Vienna Secession also counts some of the country's most prominent artists among its members. More The conversation was recorded on 12 February 2026 at the Secession. Sofie Thorsen was born in Denmark in 1971 and now lives and works in Vienna. Her mostly installation-based work is dedicated to questions of perception, space and the architectural object. She has exhibited her work internationally in numerous group and solo exhibitions, and has produced a number of works for public spaces, as well as publishing artist books and monographs. She is currently an associate professor at the Funen Academy of Fine Arts in Odense, DK. Henrik Plenge Jakobsen's (DK, 1967) artistic work is based on conceptual sculpture, installation, performance and art in public space. He works with universal themes in economics, history and politics as well as basic existential phenomena such as anxiety, alienation and coexistence.  He is educated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Institute des Hautes Etudes en Art Plastique, and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts, Paris. He was professor at the Royal Institue of Art in Stockholm, Oslo National Academy of the Arts, and the Royal Academy of Art in Copenhagen. V Sloveniji se že četrt stoletja aktivno ukvarjamo z alkoholno politiko, to je od sprejetja zakona o omejevanju alkoholnih pijač. Neue Slowenische Kunst utropade sig till stat och utfärdade pass. Patricia Lorenzoni reflekterar över ett kusligt konstprojekt som sprängde gränser. Åsikter som uttrycks är skribentens egna.Det tidiga 1990-talet var de nya och nygamla statsbildningarnas tid. Sovjetunionen hade upplösts och flera forna sovjetrepubliker förklarat sig självständiga. På Balkan bröt den jugoslaviska federationen samman i uppslitande krig. Ur konflikterna reste sig sju nya stater: Bosnien/Hercegovina, Kroatien, Montenegro, Nordmakedonien, Serbien, Slovenien och så småningom också Kosovo.Eller är det åtta? 1992 öppnade i Moskva staten NSK sin första utländska beskickning. NSK står för Neue Slowenische Kunst, ”ny slovensk konst” på tyska, och bildades 1984 av tre slovenska kulturgrupper. Det var teatern Sester Scipion Nasice, bildkonstnärerna i IRWIN och industrisynthbandet Laibach. Dessa sades vara kollektivet NSKs religiösa, kulturellt-historiska samt ideologiska avdelning. Sju år efter sitt bildande tog så NSK steget att utropa sig till stat.Som konstprojekt är det inte unikt. Andra exempel är Lars Vilks Ladonien eller Carl Michael von Hausswolffs och Leif Elggrens Elgaland-Vargaland. Men någonting ger NSK-staten en särställning bredvid liknande statsbildningar, och väcker både oro och en särskild fascination.Den mest kända delen av NSK i Sverige är sannolikt Laibach, och inte självklart positivt. Bandet framträder gärna i uniform, scenestetiken är kraftigt inspirerad av både nazism och stalinism. I 1980-talets Slovenien väckte de skandal. Namnet ”Laibach” är den tyska beteckningen på huvudstaden Ljubljana, och minner om både nazistisk ockupation och slovenskt medlöperi. Under flera år var bandet rent av förbjudet att använda sitt eget namn. I en berömd tv-intervju 1983 får gruppen frågor om sina politiska ståndpunkter. Vid tillfället bär de uniformer och armbindlar prydda med svarta kors, deras svar är kryptiska meningar tonlöst reciterade från ett papper, blickarna stela och uttryckslösa. Effekten är kuslig.Ett ofta citerat uttalande från NSK säger: ”Endast den konst som talar den politiska manipulationens språk kan undkomma manipulation.” Några år innan självständighetsförklaringen vann konstkollektivet en tävling om den officiella affischen till den jugoslaviska ”ungdomens dag”, ett firande kopplat till den store ledaren Titos födelsedag. Först efter att vinnarbidraget offentliggjorts uppmärksammades att affischen var en re-make på en nazitysk propagandabild. Den nazistiska fanan hade bara ersatts med en jugoslavisk, och den tyska örnen med en duva. Händelsen blottade en oroande likhet i estetisk sensibilitet mellan den nazistiska staten och Titos specifikt jugoslaviska form av statssocialism. NSK och Laibach iscensatte en dyrkan av den totalitaristiska staten. När de utropade sig själva till stat var det därför svårtolkat. Var det ett politiskt eller ett konstnärligt projekt? Totalitärt eller frihetligt? Var det ironi eller faktisk fascism? Den slovenske filosofen och psykoanalytiske teoretikern Slavoj Žižek talar om ”överidentifikation” som en strategi bland dissidenter i den europeiska realsocialismens slutfas. Genom att ta realsocialismen på större allvar än den tog sig själv kunde man, säger han, synliggöra systemets förnekade premisser. I detta sammanhang förstår han också NSK och Laibach. Deras iscensättningar är inte parodi, de opererar inte genom förlöjligande. Vad NSK frambesvärjde och har fortsatt att frambesvärja är den moderna statens bortträngda sida, dess spöklika tvilling.Freud beskrev det kusliga som vad som borde ha varit dött, men som likväl rör på sig. Om Laibach och NSK mött frågan om fascism med ett överslätande skratt och en försäkran om att allt bara var spel, hade ordningen återställts och monstret åter motats ner i källaren. Men det var en lugnande gest man vägrade.När NSK-staten utropade sig själv, började den emellertid med entusiastisk generositet dela ut passhandlingar. En retrofuturistisk pastisch på affischen ”Uncle Sam wants you” lockar med medborgarskap i ”universums första globala stat”. En stat utan land, transnationell och placerad i tiden snarare än i rummet. Till en början framställde NSK faktiskt sina pass i samarbete med det unga slovenska inrikesministeriet. Tillverkningsprocessen var alltså identisk. NSK-passen uppfattades lätt som ”autentiska”, det vill säga, som dokument som knöt bäraren till ett visst territorium. Och i krigets kaos, där ett pass över en natt kunde visa sig värdelöst, skedde med just dessa pass någonting förunderligt. Som 1995 när Nationalteatern i det då belägrade Sarajevo under ett två dagar långt evenemang förklarades vara NSK-territorium. Mängder av pass och diplomatpass utfärdades, och med hjälp av dessa lyckades sedan flera Sarajevobor ta sig ut ur staden.En vän med rötter på Balkan påpekar att människor under kriget hjälpte varandra över gränser hela tiden; ibland altruistiskt, ibland mot betalning. Att utgå ifrån att gränsvakterna tog NSK-passen för ”äkta” blir därför förenklande. Lika troligt är att de erbjöd vakten en förevändning, ett verktyg för att öppna gränsen. Men kanske lät sig detta göras just för att passet stod fritt från etniska lojaliteter och gränskonflikter. Här glimrar en utopisk möjlighet; just det pass som inte refererar till ett territorium, blir vad som möjliggör de belägrades väg ut.Kulturteoretikern Alexei Monroe ser i NSK och Laibach också en delförklaring till den slovenska nationalismens relativa avsaknad av militaristisk chauvinism. Hos NSK blev nationen kitsch; en överdådig yta, lika tömd på politiskt innehåll som NSK-staten är tom på territoriella anspråk. På så vis, menar han, föregrep de den paramilitära appropriering av nationen som skedde i andra delar av forna Jugoslavien.Och sannerligen, att betrakta Laibach musikvideor är att bjudas in att frossa i totalitär estetik. Det är varken ironi eller satir, utan något annat och mer. Fascismen dras till sin konsekvens som just blott estetik, tömd på de våldsamma implikationerna av ett territoriellt och biopolitiskt projekt. Ställd invid detta estetiska överdåd måste varje politisk fascism framstå som en blek och menlös kopia.Men fungerar denna överidentifikationens strategi på 2000-talet? Den fascism som opererade i det 1980-tal som födde fram NSK tog sig sannerligen på allvar. Hur skulle den då kunna tåla mer allvar än vad den själv var förmögen till? Under 2000-talet har vi istället sett framväxten av en fascism som gjort det hotfulla pajaseriet till sin paradgren.Kanske är NSK ett delvis föråldrat projekt. Ändå finner jag ett märkligt hopp i detta formulerande av den totala statens totala frihet i det allomfattande medborgarskapet. NSK blåser upp nationalstatens idé tills den sprängs. Ime tedna je postala Mojca Volkar Trobevšek, učiteljica slovenskega jezika na Osnovni šoli Stranje, ki je v okviru iniciative Učitelj sem! Učiteljica sem! postala učiteljica leta 2026. Pri poučevanju ji je najpomembneje, da učenci razumejo, zakaj se učijo določenih vsebin, in kako bodo pridobljeno znanje uporabljali v prihodnosti. Slovenska predstavnica na svetovnem izboru učiteljev je tudi urednica, avtorica in redna sodelavka Planinskega vestnika ter drugih medijev. Piše kratko prozo in poezijo, njena zgodba pa je bila lani nagrajena na Beletrininem natečaju za najboljšo kratko zgodbo.Kandidata sta bila tudi: Martin Horvat, arheolog in vodja kustodiata za srednji vek v Mestnem muzeju Ljubljana, ki je s svojim več kot 40-letnim delom ter rezultati obsežnih arheoloških raziskav bistveno prispeval k poznavanju urbanega razvoja Ljubljane v srednjem in novem veku ter k napredku srednjeveške in novoveške arheologije v Sloveniji. Za svoje delo je prejel Valvasorjevo nagrado za življenjsko delo, najvišje priznanje, ki ga vsako leto podeljuje Slovensko muzejsko društvo. Teja Oblak, košarkarica, ki je dosegla pomemben mejnik slovenskega športa in ženske košarke. Kot prva Slovenka je zaigrala v ženski ligi NBA, najmočnejšem ženskem klubskem tekmovanju na svetu. Po dolgotrajnih težavah s poškodbo se je uspešno vrnila na parket, kjer je v dresu Portlanda ob zmagi proti Torontu v 17-ih minutah dosegla tri točke in devet asistenc. Kapetanka slovenske reprezentance je s tem znova potrdila svojo vztrajnost in pomembno vlogo v slovenski košarki ter odprla novo poglavje za slovenske košarkarice na največjem odru.

Festival V-F-X Ljubljana, ki sta ga med drugimi obiskala veliko ime britanskega avantgardnega filma John Smith in japonski slikar Shunsaku Hayashi, ustvarjalec čarobnih analognih animacij. Razmišljamo tudi o drugem delu Hudičevke v Pradi.

Spomin na Piso, kot se je imenoval 5. koncert filharmoničnega cikla FKK, je zaznamovalo vnovično sodelovanje slovenskih filharmonikov z legendarnim britanskim dirigentom Trevorjem Pinnockom. Osrednje delo sporeda je bila Mendelssohnova Simfonija št. 2 v B-duru, 'Hvalospev', ki so jo izvedli trije vokalni solisti, Mešani pevski zbor Glasbene matice Ljubljana ter Zbor in Orkester Slovenske filharmonije. V nadaljevanju bomo poročali še o 5. koncertu filharmoničnega cikla PVC, ki je bil v znamenju vokalnega ansambla Vision Voices, koncertu trobilnega tria Wieder, Gansch & Paul, ki je v ponedeljek poskrbel za uvod v jubilejno 10. sezono cikla SiBrass, z mednarodne skladateljske tribune Rostrum, ki letos poteka v Rigi, se oglaša Arsov delegat Primož Trdan, oddajo pa sklepamo s pregledom dveh opernih dogodkov: prejšnji teden je za prvo slovensko izvedbo Mozartove opere La clemenza di Tito (Titovo usmiljenje) poskrbela Akademija za glasbo Univerze v Ljubljani, v tržaškem gledališču Giuseppa Verdija pa so uprizorili opero Romeo in Julija Charlesa Gounoda.

Glasbeni utrip tokrat v ospredje postavlja balet. Poročali bomo o premieri Alice v čudežni deželi v režiji in koreografiji Howarda Quintera Lopeza, ki smo jo obiskali v SNG Operi in baletu Ljubljana. Sledilo bo še nekaj dogodkov, predvsem iz Cankarjevega doma: dotaknili se bomo petega koncerta Zlatega abonmaja s Simfoničnim orkestrom iz Vancouvra ter tretjega koncerta cikla Sodobne orkestrske skladbe, na katerem je zazvenelo delo Alexa Hrena. Nadaljevali bomo s koncertom Kromatike – sedmim po vrsti –, kjer se bomo posvetili domači virtuozinji, violončelistki Sari Čano. Družinski abonma Slovenske filharmonije je te dni predstavil še zadnji koncert sezone, ob koncu oddaje pa še kanček opere: bili smo tudi na predstavi Lohengrina Richarda Wagnerja v Benetkah.

BUFFALO, NY — April 15, 2026 — A new #research paper was #published in Volume 18 of Aging-US on March 30, 2026, titled “A manually curated gene–phenotype catalogue for progeroid syndromes and premature aging.” The study was led by Nuša Likar and Tanja Kunej from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. The researchers developed a comprehensive, manually curated catalogue integrating data from 84 scientific publications and the OMIM database. The resulting resource systematically organizes genetic and clinical information on progeroid syndromes, linking 144 genes to 56 syndromes and 160 distinct clinical entities, making it one of the most extensive datasets in this field to date. Using genome–phenome association analysis and protein–protein interaction networks, the study reveals the complex genetic and phenotypic heterogeneity underlying premature aging disorders. The findings highlight strong enrichment in genome maintenance and DNA repair pathways, reinforcing their central role in aging biology. The catalogue also demonstrates how single genes, such as LMNA, can be associated with multiple syndromes, illustrating the pleiotropic nature of genetic variants in progeroid conditions and their broader relevance to human aging mechanisms. “Overall, this study provides a reference resource and framework to support future research into premature aging syndromes and their broader implications for understanding physiological aging.” Overall, the authors present a valuable framework for improving the classification, diagnosis, and study of rare premature aging disorders. Their work not only advances understanding of progeroid syndromes but also offers important insights into the biological processes that drive normal human aging. La campagne bat son plein en Hongrie avec des élections législatives très attendues dans dix jours. Et face à l'immense machine médiatique progouvernementale, les médias indépendants s'inquiètent. Ljubljanski mestni svet je pred dnevi sprejel spremembe odloka za ureditev parkirne problematike v zgoščenih stanovanjskih soseskah. Vsakodnevno iskanje parkirnega prostora ni neprijetno le v prestolnici, temveč tudi v številnih drugih mestih. Problematika odpira vprašanja kakovosti javnega prostora in javnega prevoza, lastništva zemljišč med bloki in avtomobilov, občinskih regulativ, mobilnostnih navad občanov ter druga.
