For some in the Western world considering the divine as feminine not only seems impossible, so engrained have we become with the masculine archetypal God, but for some is thought to be blasphemy. But in the history of sacred wisdom the divine is often found in the feminine archetype. Our guest today, Meghan Don, is the author of The New Divine Feminine, in which she describes several methods, several stories, and many meditations for accessing the divine feminine. Why would we need to do that? One answer is that wisdom itself, found in the sacred texts as Sophia, is feminine in nature. Another is that the feminine archetype leads us inward to find our deepest authentic selves. If you are seeking a deeper union with the divine, this show is for you.
Feminine Courage: Meghan Don What does it mean to have courage? And why specifically call it feminine? Looking at the origin of the word 'courage,' we are returned to the medieval era where it was associated with, and known to be, the very seat or place of the feelings, that is, the heart. In contemporary times courage has been defined as the "mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty." (Merriam-Webster Dictionary) Surely there is no greater human ability that is called for right now? The seven faces of the Divine Feminine: the light and dark aspects of the Daughter, Mother, and Crone, as well as the enlightened being of one's true nature. Using reflections, prayers, meditations, and ancient chants, Feminine Courage helps you heal your spirit, find liberation, and trust your inner soul voice and vision. No matter your spiritual beliefs, you can access each divine face and gain empowerment from this guide's exploration of powerful, sacred women, including Mary Magdalene, Lilith, the Black Madonna, and Teresa of Avila. As with all of our human journeys, Meghan's has been filled with much joy and much sorrow. She was born in New Zealand, and spent her childhood and adolescence growing up on a farm She is deeply grateful for this as it allowed her to develop a connection with the land spirits and animal beings. As a teenager she had a close relationship with a Maori Tohunga (shaman) whereupon many of the magical ways of the Maori peoples were transmitted. Initially, there was also a deep love for the Christian stories and teachings, but with the unfolding years, they started to become arid, lifeless, and not at all inspiring.Journeying Eastward, she met the bliss of dance and chant of Krishna and Radha and she even lived in Krishna's birthplace in India, thinking that this was to be her destiny.Meghan authored the following books: Meditations with Teresa of Avila: A Journey Into The Sacred and The New Divine Feminine – Spiritual Evolution for a Woman's Soul.https://www.meghandon.life/Resources:www.ClaudiuMurgan.comclaudiu@claudiumurgan.comwww.patreon.com/claudiumurganSubscribe for more videos! youtube.com/channel/UC6RlLkzUK_LdyRSV7DE6obQ

Happpppppy New Year listeners! We're Girl Talking about What did you do for New Years Eve? What does New Year's mean to you? Do you set intentions for the year? We did, sort of. Our first guest today is Meghan Don, is an Award-Winning Author, Multi-Faith Minister, and an Initiate of the Sophian Lineage. She has worked extensively with the Christian mystics, the Kabbalistic teachings, and Jungian psychology. She is renowned for her work in helping to raise the feminine consciousness and confidence in our world. Meghan talks about us (people) as mythic beings, and why it is so difficult for women to come forward, why is there that nagging feeling of not being 'enough', and why is it a struggle to be confident? Theresa interviews her about the seven faces of the feminine which goes deeply into into her latest book "The New Divine Feminine". Check out her upcoming events happening in the Hudson Valley. Our second guest today is Elly Swope. Shana met her on her last tour to the west coast. Elly is a recording engineer working out of Destination Universe in Portland Oregon. She moved to Portland 8 years ago to find her people, which she did immediately. She is a multi-instrumentalist, self taught guitarist and professional drummer. The interview deep dives into the challenges of staying positive in the music industry and how she decided to fall in love with the "process and the journey". She's been touring with bands out of Portland and also just released her new EP: It Feels The Same Everytime. ** There was some technical difficulty with this recording software, you may hear some wifi disfunction on Elly's end and some echo on Shana's end, but it came out beyond that so we aired it! Self Care...it's that time to talk about how we are taking care of ourselves!!! Shana talks about finding herself in a mild state of depression, allowing herself to be in it and then how trusting herself helps her move through it. Theresa talks about feeling the fire of 2019! It seems to be the theme coming through for 2019. To quote her We'moon calendar book, it's time to "crank up the heat. We need to be on fire this year, but whether we feel the hearth fire of the gathering collective, the fire of a combustion engine, or just burn the house down--that will be up to us and how we use the aspects." Feel the fire, use that energy for good, and have an amazing 2019! Today's show was engineered by Manuel Blas of Radio Kingston, www.radiokingston.org. We heard music from Shana Falana, http://www.shanafalana.com/, Elly Swope, and audio from the film, RBG, https://www.rbgmovie.com Feel free to email us, say hello: she@iwantwhatshehas.org ** Please: SUBSCRIBE to our pod and leave a REVIEW wherever you are listening, it helps other users FIND US :) Follow Us: INSTAGRAM * https://www.instagram.com/iwantwhatshehaspodcast/ FACEBOOK * https://www.facebook.com/iwantwhatshehaspodcast TWITTER * https://twitter.com/wantwhatshehas

Aired Wednesday, 28 September 2016, 8:00 PM ETThere was a time when the divine feminine was preeminent in this world. The aspects of Mother Goddess represented the feminine soul and recognized it as creator. Somewhere in the mists of time and the advent of western religion, she was almost forgotten. The 20th century saw a renaissance of appreciation for the divine feminine but many women, and men, were not aware of it or somehow could not embrace it.My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Meghan Don, is one of the pioneers in raising feminine divine consciousness. Meghan is an initiate of the Sophian Lineage and founder and leading guide of the Gnostic Grace Circle. An award winning author, spiritual mentor and retreat presenter, Meghan is the author of the new Llewellyn book, The New Divine Feminine-Spiritual Evolution for a Woman’s Soul.
