How Do You Know If Your Unfaithful Partner Is Really Changing? --With Sam's Healing Podcast After infidelity, promises can sound reassuring—but how do you know whether your partner is actually changing? In this episode, Lora Cheadle talks with Sam from Sam's Healing Podcast about what real recovery looks like on the unfaithful side of betrayal. They explore why actions matter more than apologies, why the unfaithful partner needs to take initiative instead of waiting to be managed, and why becoming teachable, confrontable, and emotionally mature is essential for rebuilding trust. They also discuss communication tools like AVR—acknowledge, validate, reassure—along with self-regulation, co-regulation, childhood patterns, boundaries, and the difference between performing recovery and genuinely becoming someone new. Top 3 Takeaways Stop listening only to what they say. Watch what they do. Promises like “It will never happen again” have very little value if they are not backed by consistent behavior. Real change shows up between sessions: seeking help, reading, doing exercises, attending meetings when appropriate, learning new skills, telling the truth, following through, and taking initiative without being parented by the betrayed partner. The unfaithful partner goes first. The person who created the rupture has a responsibility to lead the repair. That means booking appointments, finding resources, doing the work, becoming teachable and open to correction, and learning how to respond to the betrayed partner's pain rather than becoming defensive or demanding that they “get over it.” Healing requires more than understanding why the affair happened. Childhood wounds and family-of-origin patterns matter, but insight alone does not automatically create empathy, emotional maturity, communication skills, or safety. Both partners eventually need to learn self-regulation and co-regulation, while the unfaithful partner demonstrates through consistent action that they are becoming someone capable of rebuilding trust. Favorite Quotes “Forget about what they're saying. Look at what they're doing.” —Sam “The only currency is action.” —Sam “There is a time where we as unfaithful stop saying what we will do. We just do it.” —Sam “You can't regulate yourself out of a toxic relationship.” —Lora Cheadle About Sam Sam's Healing Podcast is brought to you by one of Infidelity Recovery's most prominent and renowned influencers and YouTubers. A little bit about Andrea's story from her: I'm a couple therapist and treat many clients where one or both partners have a trauma history. How Eight Days Of Hope Builds Safe Homes For Trafficking Survivors A doorknob that never turns in the night should be ordinary, but for many trafficking survivors it feels like a miracle. That single detail becomes a thread we keep pulling as we return to Retreat to Peace with a raw personal update and a conversation that doesn't let us look away from what's happening in our towns, our travel stops, and sometimes even our own families. I start by sharing my own testimony after multiple jaw surgeries and an exhausting recovery that brought pain, isolation, and a desperate 2:30 AM cry to God. I also share a terrifying spiritual moment that forced me to fight for peace in real time and how I later learned a friend was prompted to wake up at the exact same hour to pray for me. If you've ever wondered whether prayer matters when you feel helpless, this story will meet you right where you are. Then I'm joined by Steve Tybor, founder of Eight Days of Hope, a Christian disaster relief and rebuilding ministry that now also builds safe homes and healing campuses for women and children rescued from human trafficking. We talk honestly about why trafficking happens, how pornography and addiction fuel demand, how grooming works, and why most trafficking doesn't look like the movies. Steve shares practical warning signs to watch for, common red flags in places like hotels and “massage parlors,” and what a real path to survivor healing can require: safety, counseling, medical support, and long-term trauma-informed care. If this conversation stirs you, don't let it stop at awareness. Subscribe, share this episode with someone who needs it, and leave a review so more people can find practical human trafficking prevention and survivor support resources. What If Your Senses Could Help You Heal, Reset, and Respond Differently? What if some of the most powerful tools for calming the nervous system and supporting healing are already with us every day—our senses? Scarlett Lewis welcomes Adora Winquist, known as the “Modern Alchemist,” for a fascinating conversation about the connection between our senses, emotions, the nervous system, and healing. Adora shares approaches she has used in her work with military members and their families, including those navigating the challenges of returning home from war and the effects of trauma. Together, Scarlett and Adora explore how sensory experiences—including scent—can help us pause, regulate our emotions, reconnect with ourselves, and create space between what happens to us and how we respond. They discuss Adora's Modern Alchemy approach, which blends ancient practices with modern understanding of well-being, as well as practical ways sensory tools can be incorporated into everyday life. For teachers, school leaders, counselors, parents, and anyone supporting young people, this conversation offers an intriguing perspective on creating calmer, more intentional environments while also caring for our own well-being. Ultimately, this episode is about discovering the everyday tools available to us for navigating stress, supporting healing, and strengthening our ability to make a Choice Moment—pausing before reacting so we can respond with greater awareness, compassion, and love. How to Make Decisions After Infidelity When Every Choice Feels Wrong After betrayal, every decision can feel catastrophic. Stay or leave? Give more grace or set a harder boundary? Invest in support or save the money in case you need it later? When your brain is hyperalert, every possibility can begin to look like proof that one wrong choice will ruin your future. In this episode, Lora Cheadle explores why hypervigilance can disguise itself as careful decision-making—and why self-trust does not mean making perfect choices. Through the story of rebuilding her home after a devastating sewer explosion, along with her own experiences of choosing beauty, pleasure, and higher standards, Lora shows how recovery shifts when you stop trying to recreate the old or justify every choice and begin creating a life that genuinely reflects who you are now. Top 3 Takeaways Hypervigilance can make every possibility look like catastrophe. After betrayal, your brain is trying to protect you from ever being blindsided again. That can turn thoughtful decision-making into endless analysis, freezing, catastrophizing, and searching for guarantees that do not exist. Self-trust is not making the perfect decision. Self-trust means knowing that you can choose, experience what happens, gather more information, ask for help, reassess, change direction, and choose again. A decision that does not turn out perfectly is not proof that there is something wrong with you. Recovery is not about rebuilding the old life. Whether you stay, leave, remodel your marriage, or create something entirely new, the deeper question is what you want your life to feel like now. Higher standards are not perfectionism. They are a willingness to value truth, emotional safety, beauty, pleasure, self-respect, and a life that feels fully yours. Favorite Quotes “Familiar does not mean it's automatically right. Cheap does not mean it's automatically the wisest decision. Practical does not automatically mean it's aligned with who you are and where you're going.” “Beauty and loving yourself and loving your surroundings…is evidence that you've come back to life.” “Your decisions do not have to be perfect. You just need to trust yourself enough to manage your life.” LOVE THE SHOW? TAKE THE NEXT STEP Don't just listen—start healing. Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #682 was recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington Massachusetts in mid-August of 2026 and is an hour of visionary acoustic improvised music played by the Gaea Star Band featuring Mariam Massaro on vocals, Native flute, ukuleles, singing bowl and acoustic guitar, Bob Sherwood on piano and bass guitar and Craig Harris on Native drum and congas. Today's show begins with the beautiful, pastoral “Lift Up My Spirit”, a pretty, light song with a classical Neopolitan feel before we move to “Positive No Matter What”, a reverent, celestial prayer with a fine vocal from Mariam. “My Soul Has Wings” begins as a solemn, reverent psalm before lifting off to Dionysian abandon with powerful work from the band. “Singing The Same Song” is a rocking, New Orleans-flavored rocker with tight acoustic guitar rhythm guitar work from Mariam over Bob's barrelhouse piano and “River Of Love” comes from the “Gaea Star Crystal” album with the band taking it up yet another notch with this powerful rocker. “Into The Might Waves”, also from the “Release” album is a rich, complex anthem performed flawlessly by the band and “Celebrate Diversity” is a powerful, fundamental medicine song with a beautiful, jazzy refrain and a driving performance from the band propelled by Craig's powerful conga groove. “Aloha Hey” is a sunny Hawaiian reggae workout played drum-tight by the ensemble and closes today's show with a rollicking bang. From Search & Rescue to Skincare: The Science of Cosmetic Acupuncture with Dr. Alexia Lindell Before she was helping people look and feel their best, Dr. Alexia Lindell was a Coast Guard search and rescue coordinator — saving lives while quietly struggling with her own: insomnia, chronic fatigue, TMJ, acid reflux, and stress that wouldn't quit. Acupuncture changed that so profoundly, she left her military career to become one. Today, Dr. Lindell is the founder of Qi Society, a boutique acupuncture practice in Worcester, MA, and a Doctor of Acupuncture licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine. In this episode, she breaks down what acupuncture actually is (and isn't), walks us through her specialty — cosmetic acupuncture, including how it works, what to expect, and how results build over time — and shares how she also uses acupuncture to support scar recovery, fertility, migraines, and nervous system regulation. Whether you're acupuncture-curious, chasing a more natural approach to aging well, or just trying to manage stress in a chaotic world, this conversation offers a grounded, practical look at what treatment really involves — and how to find a practitioner you can trust. “Finding the Source Code” Wisdom Talk by David Hoffmeister Recorded live during the second session of the New Revelations Festival, this Wisdom Talk by David Hoffmeister invites listeners into a profound exploration of spiritual awakening. David explores how our minds are often split by the ego's illusions, leading us to seek lasting happiness in the temporary forms and relationships of the physical world. He explains that true, consistent joy can only be discovered by turning inward and accessing our "source code"—the practice of deep forgiveness, which reminds us that this world is a projection and our true identity is spiritual. By unplugging from our false human identities, grievances, and defense mechanisms, we can experience the Kingdom of Heaven that already exists within us. The conversation also delves into the liberating practice of "undoing the doer". Rather than fighting the ego or trying to personally manage our own salvation, David suggests handing over the strings of our lives to the Spirit, allowing divine intuition to guide our actions. The 4 Phases of Betrayal Recovery, Part 2: Are You Ready to Move On—or Waiting for a Perfect Solution? Sometimes you truly need more information, more time, or more nervous system regulation before you can make a decision. But sometimes “I don't know what to do” means something deeper: you know more than you are ready to admit, you do not like your options, or you are waiting for a perfect solution that does not exist. In Part Two of this guided coaching series, Lora Cheadle walks you through the Stages of Change and helps you identify how ready you really are to move forward. You will explore the difference between needing more information and postponing action, why uncertainty feels unsafe, how fear of making the wrong choice keeps you frozen, and what it means to become the protagonist in your own life. Top 3 Takeaways Not knowing and not liking your options are not the same thing. Sometimes you genuinely need more information, legal advice, financial clarity, time, or evidence of sustained change. Other times, you already know what is true but are not ready to face what that truth may require. Readiness can be supported, even when it cannot be forced. The Stages of Change—precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, and maintenance—help you identify where you are without shame. Instead of asking what is wrong with you, ask what would help you become more ready. The perfect solution does not exist. Every meaningful choice contains uncertainty, consequences, gains, and losses. The goal is not to find the option with no downside. It is to make the most honest, self-honoring choice available and trust yourself to respond as new information emerges. Favorite Quotes “Sometimes you're not stuck because you lack options. You're stuck because none of the available options are perfect.” “Maturity is not finding the option with no downside. It's deciding which truth, which consequence, and which responsibility you are willing to live with.” LOVE THE SHOW? TAKE THE NEXT STEP Don't just listen—start healing. Recorded live in early August of 2026 at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts, today's dynamic hour begins with the mellow, shaded 12-string drone raga “Let's Be Outside To Revel In The Glory of Nature”, a mystical, floating piece with an insistent minor feel, detailed piano, throbbing Native drum and chiming 12 string framing Mariam's mysterious lyric. “Wonders Evermore (Touching Deep Within You)” is a lush, summer-soaked reverie opening with a fanfare of soaring Native flute and “Calling Us To Exclamations of Expression” is a sweeping, roaming epic folk song led by Mariam's expressive acoustic guitar and dramatic, powerful piano. “Oh Peace” is an evocative, hallucinatory forest mambo, Craig's fundamental Native drum and Bob's jazzy piano creating an unusual, addictive groove under Mariam's powerful vocal and “Oh, Watching The Birds By The River” is a pretty, acoustic-guitar led folk song with a lovely melody in a languid dance with concise, mirroring commentary from the piano. “Fields So Green” is an ecstatic sunset song driven along with Mariam's chiming guitar and lovely, delicate piano motifs and “Celebrating With Faeries On a Magic Carpet of Light” lives up to its name with an exotic shruti box drone, soaring Native flute and vocal duets and a series of gorgeous piano harmonizations from Bob. Women, Sex & Power: The Matriarch's Rise in the Age of Awakening, author Angela Patete What if the chaos, confusion, and collapse you feel in the world right now isn't the end, but the beginning of something far better? For generations, women have been conditioned to doubt their intuition, suppress their desires, shrink their power, and play by rules never designed for them to thrive. In a world still gripped by patriarchal systems, weaponized sex, political games and outdated social programming, something unprecedented is now stirring: the rise of the sovereign, sexually awakened, and heart-led Modern Matriarch. Visionary Shamanic Guide Oracle to the Awakened Feminine Soul Catalyst Speaker & Influencer I'm Angela Patete, also known as The Rose Heart. I am a modern-day shamanic practitioner and visionary guide devoted to helping women reclaim their power, heal their hearts, use their voice, and live with clarity, joy, and deep purpose. My journey began in my mid-50s with a profound spiritual awakening. During this time, I received a divine message through Mary, Mother of Christ. She placed a rose in my hands and gifted me the sacred name The Rose Heart. That moment revealed my mission: to help others open their hearts, release what no longer serves them, and step into a life of truth and liberation. In my very first client session, I witnessed the meaning of the rose unfold. As I channeled divine energy into her heart, I saw a radiant bloom rise within her. It reflected her own capacity to heal. That rose became a living symbol of what happens when we clear out pain, fear, and old beliefs to make room for what is real, powerful, and our authentic truth. As an Oracle to the Awakened Feminine, I now guide and motivate women through deeply transformative journeys of healing and self-discovery. My clients are often high-achieving women who feel stuck, restless, or uninspired. They want to travel, try new things, reconnect with joy, and feel free again. Many are healing from trauma or silently struggling with burnout or boredom. They are ready to let go of expectations, shift into alignment, and live with authenticity. My energy work is centered around the heart, aiming to liberate the soul, energetically align, and empower women to trust their intuitive barometers. I assist women in achieving this transformative journey by: Release negative energy, self-doubt, and limiting beliefs. Heal emotional wounds and energetic imprints. Reclaim their voice, purpose, and personal power. Embrace their softness and their strength. Experience peace, clarity, and joy from the inside out. I call this heart alchemy. It is sacred, grounded, and life changing. My work is not about fixing you. It is about helping you remember who you are and reconnect to your own wisdom, energy, light, and power. This is your invitation to return to your heart and awaken the freedom that has always been within you. The benevolent Spirit of Light is calling. Are you open and ready to receive? The 4 Phases of Betrayal Recovery: Are You Healing—or Just Learning? After betrayal, it is easy to become trapped in an endless cycle of learning. You listen to more podcasts, read more books, study nervous system regulation, attachment, boundaries, narcissism, reconciliation, and divorce—hoping the next piece of information will finally make you feel clear. But there comes a point when gathering more information can become its own form of hypervigilance. In Part One of this two-part series, Lora Cheadle introduces the four phases of her Life Choreography® Method: Regulate, Reorient, Reconnect, and Rechoreograph. She guides you through each phase as though you were in a private session together, helping you identify where you are, where you may have skipped ahead, and what kind of support you actually need now. This episode also explores the difference between conscious insight and subconscious change, why the right tool used at the wrong time can feel like another failure, and how hypnosis can help update the old survival rules that continue operating beneath the surface. Top 3 Takeaways Learning more is not always the same as healing. Learning can be an important first step, but endless information gathering can keep you focused on the problem and safely outside your own transformation. At some point, the next step is no longer another book, podcast, or tool. It is allowing what you already know to change how you live. Betrayal recovery has an order. The four phases of the Life Choreography® Method are Regulate, Reorient, Reconnect, and Rechoreograph. You cannot force clarity while your nervous system is still in survival, reconnect with yourself before orienting to the truth, or rebuild a life that reflects who you are before knowing who you are now. Conscious understanding may not change a subconscious survival pattern. You can consciously know that you are safe, worthy, and capable of making decisions while your body continues reacting from fear, abandonment, or helplessness. Hypnosis helps update the subconscious beliefs, conditioned associations, and old survival rules that keep recreating the same emotional response. Episode 19: Juggling It All Without Losing Ourselves How do we keep all the plates spinning without forgetting how to actually enjoy life? In this episode, Dr. Emily K. Cabrera, EdD, MSN, CAGS, PMHNP-BC and Katie Krych, MSN, RN, PMHNP(c) tackle the reality of trying to juggle careers, family, relationships, responsibilities, and everything in between while still making room for joy, connection, and fun. Through honest conversation, relatable stories, and plenty of laughter, Emily and Katie explore why so many women feel pressure to "do it all," the guilt that often comes with taking time for ourselves, and how easily we judge both ourselves and each other for the choices we make. Together they discuss: • The mental load of balancing multiple roles • Why fun often becomes the first thing we sacrifice • Practical strategies for staying grounded when life feels overwhelming • Letting go of comparison and the need to do things "the right way" • Learning to support, not judge, other women whose choices may look different from our own • Making intentional space for rest, laughter, and the people who matter most This episode is a reminder that there is no perfect way to balance life. Every family, every career, and every season looks different. The goal is not perfection. It is creating a life that allows us to care for others without losing ourselves in the process. Join us for a conversation filled with practical tips, encouragement, and a healthy reminder that sometimes the best thing on your to-do list is simply to enjoy the moment. Mindful Birding with guest Holly Merker, founder of the Mindful Birding Network and co-author of Ornitherapy: For Your Mind, Body, and Soul Mindful Birding combines observing birds with mindfulness techniques, creating a practice that incorporates a heightened awareness. Labeling or identifying birds is not the primary focus; rather the intention is slowing down and noticing, using birds as our guides. It's about presence with curiosity and without judgment. This style of observation invites self-exploration, reciprocity, and an acknowledgment of our physical and emotional responses while within the practice. A growing body of scientific research shows that deepening our experiences with nature by intentionally slowing down, engaging our senses, and being aware of the present moment, holds a myriad of benefits to overall human wellness. The benefits include reduced anxiety and stress, increased memory and attention, and opportunities for social and community engagement. Additionally, the practice of birding brings educational benefits, citizen science opportunities and conservation engagement, experiences that are increasingly important because of climate change and habitat destruction. Holly is co-author of two books, including the award-winning Ornitherapy: For Your Mind, Body, and Soul. She is co-host and co-producer of the Mindful Birding Podcast, and founder of the Mindful Birding Network. Her work has been featured by British Vogue, AARP, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Psychotherapy Networker Magazine, and numerous other media outlets. A cancer survivor, Holly credits birds with helping restore her health and well-being and now helps others discover the healing potential of engagement with wild birds. "The Gift of Timelessness” Welcome to a profound exploration of the mind with David Hoffmeister. In this transformative session, originally recorded on July 18, 2026, David takes listeners on a deep dive designed to dislodge the sleeping mind from the illusion of linear time and the dream of duality. Drawing on the deep teachings of A Course in Miracles, this episode explores how our perception of the past, present, and future is merely a construct of the ego. Through the lens of a mind-bending cinematic story where timelines fracture and reality is called into question, David illustrates that the world of time and space is a fantasy designed to obscure our true eternal nature. Listeners are guided to confront deep ontological questions, unpack the metaphysical relationship between cause and effect, and embrace the ultimate healing power of true forgiveness. Tune in to discover how to escape the hypnotic mesmerism of the world, surrender the painful defense mechanisms of the ego, and awaken to the joyous reality that you are pure Spirit—completely innocent, perfect, and eternally free. "The Way" gatherings take place all summer until September 2026 and include comedy, teachings, films, music, panel discussions, and live Q&A sessions with David Hoffmeister. From Powerless to Sovereign: Reclaiming Your Voice, Intuition, and Financial Power After Betrayal with Soochen Low Betrayal can leave you feeling as though you have lost control over everything—your relationship, your future, your finances, and even your ability to trust yourself. You may question your judgment, second-guess every decision, and become so afraid of making another mistake that you stop moving forward altogether. But sovereignty is not about always knowing the right answer. It is about reclaiming your authority over your own life. In this episode, Lora Cheadle is joined by creative power business alchemist and sovereign leadership catalyst Soochen Low for a conversation about rebuilding self-trust, listening to your heart, reclaiming your financial power, and creating a life that belongs to you. Soochen shares her experience of leaving a controlling and emotionally abusive marriage after ten years of feeling that she was never doing, earning, or contributing enough. Although she had built successful businesses and generated significant income, she had allowed someone else's story about her worth to become more powerful than her own. Together, Lora and Soochen explore what it means to trust your heart after it has been broken—and why listening to your intuition does not guarantee that life will always be easy or painless. Sometimes your inner wisdom warns you away from something. Other times, it leads you directly into an experience that becomes part of your growth, awakening, and evolution. They also discuss the financial fear that often accompanies betrayal and why earning, receiving, and building wealth are not selfish. Money can become an expression of agency, creativity, generosity, and freedom. Reclaiming your financial power is not merely about making more money. It is about recognizing that you are capable of supporting yourself, directing your life, and making choices based on what is right for you. This conversation is an invitation to stop waiting until you feel completely certain, stop demanding perfection from yourself, and begin moving forward one choice at a time. Because becoming sovereign does not mean you will never make another mistake. It means the choices—and the life—are finally yours. Top 3 Takeaways Your heart may not have betrayed you. After betrayal, it is common to believe that your intuition failed because you trusted someone who later hurt you. But you may have heard your inner wisdom and not yet understood it, or your path may have contained lessons and growth that you could not have anticipated. Rebuilding self-trust begins with curiosity and compassion rather than blaming yourself for what you did not know. Financial sovereignty is part of recovering yourself. Betrayal can create intense fears about money, security, and survival. Reclaiming your financial power means recognizing your ability to create, earn, receive, and make decisions for yourself. Money does not have to be associated with greed, selfishness, or proving your worth. It can support freedom, generosity, service, and choice. Sovereignty is not perfection—it is agency. You do not have to know exactly how everything will turn out before you move. You are allowed to choose, make mistakes, change your mind, and choose again. Your power is not found in getting every decision right. It is found in knowing that you can respond, adjust, and continue creating a life that reflects who you are now. Favorite Quotes “I thought I was going to crash and burn. But I didn't. I discovered I had wings—that I could actually fly.” —Soochen Low About Soochen Soochen Low is a creative power business alchemist and sovereign leadership catalyst who supports creative, conscious, mission-driven women in building financially sustainable businesses without abandoning their integrity, creativity, or values. Her work helps women move beyond people-pleasing, proving, and self-sacrifice so they can reclaim their creative power and lead their businesses, income, lives, and destinies with greater sovereignty. She is also the author of the forthcoming book From Servant Girl to Sovereign Queen, which explores rewriting the stories that keep women small, transforming their businesses, and leading from the wisdom of the heart. Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #679 is a replay of our show #325, an hour of visionary, varied, evocative, lush and accomplished acoustic improvised music and songs featuring the Gaea Star Band with Mariam Massaro on vocals, native flute, tenor ukulele, acoustic 6- and 12-string guitars and percussion, Craig Harris on congas and native drums and Bob Sherwood on piano. Recorded on an early autumn day back in 2018 at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts, today's show begins with the hypnotizing, magical ambience of “Like The Morning”, a steady, prayerful ballad built on a relentless groove of piano and congas and draped with lovely improvised melody and native flute from Mariam. Beginning with a mysterious flute fanfare, “Let's All Be A Little Stronger” is a mystical meditation on resistance in our time led by Bob's minimalist, echoing piano and a profound message from Mariam on resilience in all things. “The Last Of The Moonlight” is a light and unusually pretty ballad to the moon that skips and plays to the tune of Mariam's tenor ukulele like moonlight on the surface of a lake and “Nothing New” is a powerful, mesmerizing epic that moves through several motifs to express the beauty of the circularity of the seasons. Mariam plays her chiming Martin 12-string acoustic to set the tone for “Today”, a relaxed ballad that celebrates the everyday through Mariam's lush vocal and the firm and steady support of the band. “Room Of Doubt” is a classic from Mariam's “Gaea Star Crystal: Awakening The Tribes Of Light” album and “Gather Together” is drawn from the “Best Of The Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour 2013 compilation album. We finish today with the hushed, gentle “The Sun's Calling” featuring a gorgeous vocal and native flute passages from Mariam over Bob's classical piano motifs. A little bit about Axay's story from him: At 67, I've lived a 100% plant-based raw food lifestyle for 16+ years, with 21+ years of documented medical records showing zero medications, zero chronic disease, and 8 completed marathons, training for 9th.. My journey began when I realized my body's depletion wasn't just physical, it was also emotional and mental. Through my Energy System Dysfunction framework, I share how nutrition, sleep, movement, and mindset work together to support overall wellbeing, including mental health. At 67 years young, he has lived a 100% plant-based raw food lifestyle for 16+ years, documenting complete health transformation across 21+ years of medical records. Always At Choice: Strategies for Moving on After Death Larry Freeborg remembers the day vividly when he realized he was not powerless in the face of total despair and grief. It happened when he was in the “psych ward” after the death of his 39-year-old wife from leukemia, leaving him with four young children, right as his company eliminated his position with a 8% unemployment. Finally, it dawned on him that every moment offered a choice. He was Always At Choice. Are all of us always at choice? Larry is here to answer that question. BIO: Life as he knew it ended in a single week. Just after Christmas in 1979, Larry Freeborg lost his wife of 18 years. Suddenly, he was a widowed father of four with no income. What followed was not a quick journey but a decades-long journey of learning how to grieve, how to lead with love, and how to rediscover hope in the face of unimaginable loss. Today, he is the author of Always At Choice and the founder of Stepping Through the Gate. www.alwaysatchoice.net Chat with Kat during Live Show with Video Stream: write a question on YouTube Have a Question for the Show? A Conversation with Chef Adrian, a Nationally recognized Junior Chef Loco Dos is a Cape Cod based pop up food business supporting community organizations and featuring Chef Adrian, a nationally recognized junior chef. From a young age, Adrian loved to cook. And when he learned about homelessness from an elementary school workshop, he had an idea: what if he could sell his meals and support housing advocacy? Alas, Loco Dos was born. From Adrian: Loco Dos is my family-friendly pop up restaurant where I can share my favorite foods with my community while also supporting non profits like HPC by donating proceeds to their organization. My love of food started in Pre-K when I went to Farm Camp at Newton Community Farm and I became fascinated with all the fresh ingredients grown here in Massachusetts from fennel, basil, mint and more! When I was five I got my first cookbook and I started making granola and soon that inspired me to want to learn to cook everything from soups, pizzas, meatballs, and more. In 2nd grade, I learned about homelessness at Stony Brook Elementary and I wanted to do something to help. My parents helped me combine my love of cooking and my wish to help my community – and I thought this was the best idea. And then Loco Dos was born. The first season of Loco Dos was AMAZING! We had a lot of customers and have met some amazing people and Loco Dos champions along the way. https://www.locodos.org/ Place an Order: https://www.locodos.org/weekly-menu The Paper Doll Kids and “Kids for Love Song” are a production of the Kids 4 Love Project. Why Feeling Good About Yourself Matters After Betrayal with Jasmin El Kordi of Bluelene After betrayal, it can feel like every thought, every conversation, and every part of your life gets hijacked by infidelity. You are trying to understand what happened, protect yourself legally and financially, regulate your nervous system, and figure out what comes next. But what if part of healing is also allowing yourself moments of normalcy, confidence, curiosity, and even fun? In this episode, Lora Cheadle talks about the importance of titrating betrayal recovery so your entire life does not become consumed by pain, processing, and problem-solving. She shares why simple experiences such as listening to music, dancing, learning something new, taking care of your skin, or feeling good in your body can help interrupt obsessive loops and support nervous system regulation. Lora is joined by Jasmin El Kordi of Bluelene Advanced Skincare for a conversation about stress, aging, confidence, skincare, and the science behind topical methylene blue. Together, they explore how stress can affect the skin, why looking in the mirror after betrayal can feel so painful, and how caring for yourself on the outside can sometimes help you reconnect with yourself on the inside. This is not about vanity. It is about remembering that you are still alive, still worthy, still allowed to feel beautiful, and still allowed to enjoy your life while you heal. Top 3 Takeaways Betrayal recovery has to be titrated. Healing matters, but not every moment of your life has to revolve around infidelity, deep processing, or hard conversations. Feeling good about yourself supports regulation. Confidence, beauty, laughter, music, movement, and small acts of self-care can help your nervous system exhale. Your body knows when something feels aligned. Whether you are making decisions about your relationship, your work, your healing, or your next chapter, your body often registers truth before your mind can explain it. Favorite Quote “Not all betrayal recovery has to be specifically about betrayal recovery.” About Jasmin El Kordi Jasmin El Kordi is a highly accomplished entrepreneur and senior executive with over 30 years of experience in the technology, telecommunications, and wellness industries. Prior to co-founding Bluelene, she held executive and leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies including Sprint, Cisco, and NCR, as well as serving as Vice President for the European consumer goods company Prisma Natural. After graduating Summa cum Laude from the University of Maryland, she shifted her focus to the intersection of longevity science and personal care. As CEO, Jasmin has led Mblue Labs from a university research project into an award-winning, globally recognized biotech platform. Bluelene is a patented, biotech-driven skincare and hair growth brand built on the anti-aging powers of Methylene Blue The Science: Originally researched as a treatment for Progeria (a rapid-aging childhood disease) at the University of Maryland, scientist Kan Cao discovered that Methylene Blue continuously cycles to support cellular defense and energy. It continuously stimulates skin cells to produce collagen and elastin while extending the healthy lifespan of the cells themselves. The Benefits: Unlike traditional anti-aging ingredients like retinol—which can encourage cell death—Methylene Blue actively repairs DNA damage, reduces oxidative stress, and significantly boosts skin hydration and firmness. Product Line: Bluelene offers a wide range of products tailored to all ages, from Gen-Zers preventing damage to older demographics focusing on deep anti-aging. The line features bestsellers like their Daily Moisturizer, Eye Cream, and an elasticity cream specifically formulated to maintain skin structure.
