Why I Stayed After 15 Years of Infidelity -The Honest Truth About Rebuilding Trust What if staying after betrayal wasn't weakness, denial, or fear — but one of the most conscious, self-respecting decisions a person could make? In this deeply personal episode, Lora answers one of the hardest and most frequently asked questions of her life: Why did you stay? After years of infidelity, heartbreak, and shattered trust, she shares the honest, nuanced truth behind her decision to remain, heal, and rebuild. This is not a story about excusing betrayal, minimizing pain, or pretending the past didn't happen. It's a story about truth, justice, self-respect, and the courage to stay present long enough to see whether something truly new could be built. Lora explores the assumptions people make about women who stay, the difference between blind loyalty and conscious choice, and the emotional, relational, and spiritual work that real reconciliation requires. She also speaks candidly about love, risk, accountability, integration, and why healing is never about replaying the worst moment of your life forever. If you've ever wondered whether someone can love you and still betray you, whether staying means you're weak, or what it actually takes to rebuild trust after infidelity, this episode offers a raw, grounded, and powerfully clarifying perspective. Top 3 Takeaways Staying after betrayal is not the same as accepting anything. Lora did not stay “no matter what.” She stayed present, kept listening to herself, and continued choosing based on what was actually happening in the relationship. Reconciliation only works when truth, accountability, and repair are real. You cannot heal by pretending it didn't happen. Rebuilding trust requires full truth, real change, emotional honesty, and the willingness to create an entirely new relationship. The goal is not just saving the relationship — it's reclaiming yourself. Whether you stay or leave, the deeper work is learning to honor your values, trust your own discernment, and move forward without bitterness. Pull Quotes “Staying isn't blind loyalty. It's conscious participation in whether something new is actually being built.” “I didn't stay because I was afraid to leave. I stayed because I trusted myself to keep choosing based on what was actually happening.” LOVE THE SHOW? TAKE THE NEXT STEP Don't just listen—start healing. Together, they explore why so many smart, self aware women struggle in love during midlife and what actually attracts emotionally available, committed partners. This conversation dives deep into authenticity, self confidence, embodiment, and why hiding parts of yourself can unknowingly push love away. Alison shares eye opening insights from decades of research on men and women, including what men truly respond to and how women can stop settling for chemistry that leads nowhere. You'll also hear a moving personal story about love, loss, and building a relationship rooted in truth instead of fear. If you are dating again, starting over after divorce or loss, or simply want healthier, more fulfilling relationships, this episode is for you. In this episode, you'll learn • Why authenticity is one of the most attractive qualities in a woman • How midlife dating instincts can sabotage real connection • What men actually need to feel close and committed • How to stop hiding important parts of yourself in relationships • Why clarity about your future matters more than chemistry Alison Armstrong's exploration of human behavior began in 1991 with a decision to find out what brings out the best and worst in men. Episode 8: Understanding Rage Crying In this episode of Paperclips & Periods, hosts Dr. Emily K. Cabrera, PMHNP-BC, and Katharine "Katie" Krych, MSN, RN, talk about rage crying. This is the moment when anger and tears show up at the same time. Emily and Katie explore why this happens and what it can mean. Anger is often a secondary emotion that protects deeper feelings such as hurt, exhaustion, or feeling unheard. When emotions build up for too long, the body may release that stress through tears. Emily explains how the brain and nervous system respond to strong emotions. When the body enters a fight or flight response, stress hormones increase and emotions can feel overwhelming. Crying can sometimes help the nervous system calm down and return to balance. Throughout the conversation, they talk about everyday situations that can lead to emotional overload. Parenting stress, relationship conflict, work demands, and the mental load of daily life can all build over time. They also discuss how past experiences can shape how emotions appear in the present. When emotions are pushed down for too long, they may eventually come out in intense ways. The hosts share simple strategies for managing these moments. They discuss grounding, taking space when emotions rise, healthy outlets for stress, and the importance of communication and boundaries. The episode closes with the podcast's signature box breathing exercise, a 16 second practice to help calm the nervous system. This conversation reminds listeners that strong emotions are part of being human and deserve understanding and care. Paperclips & Periods airs on Dreamvisions 7 Radio Network, a Boston-based syndicated internet radio station reaching listeners across 135 to 200+ countries through platforms including iHeartRadio, TuneIn, Stitcher, Spotify, and more. Master Nick Eagle Talks About The Golden Laws of Enlightenment We now understand that the energy that we experience as consciousness is all that exists. Consciousness is the Sculptor, and it is also the Clay. And some people are learning now to use that energy in ever more powerful ways! One of them of course is Master Jesus, and His teachings as we have them in the Biblical Gospels are a wonderful course in the mastery of consciousness. Another of them, too, is our guest today. He now calls himself Master Nick Eagle, and he has approached his study of the use of consciousness in a different way. Nick Eagle meditates now daily for hours. He tells us that he lives in high states of consciousness; he can at-will achieve a state of oneness or Nirvana with the universe, and he sees himself as a warrior against the self-delusional darkness that prevents people from living up to their highest potential, and experiencing the divinity within themselves. Nick's fierceness in his mission has led him to stand away from the traditional image of teacher and master. With his long beard, he may look the part, but his approach to bringing people to enlightenment is a rigorous adherence to the principles that he espouses in his book, which is called Golden Laws of Enlightenment. It's a demanding fealty to one's highest self, resisting the temptation to believe or indulge in anything that does not serve that highest good. Nick has a PhD in Philosophy, he is a certified yoga and meditation teacher, a Reiki and Kundalini Master, and he also is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with world titles. He prepares people to work with enlightened plants, facilitates ceremonies, and teaches people how to be spiritual warriors at his Eagle Vortex Sanctuary in Sedona AZ. Nick's attainment as an enlightened Master is the result of a long journey that he himself has made, from someone who was filled with self-doubt and low self-esteem, masking that with a life of bravado, before he came to know the truth behind the façade. He reached the pinnacle by starring in Showtime's hit series Gigolos, which was a reality show that followed the lives of five Vegas male escorts. From that, he built an international reputation as a sex and confidence guru. A sudden and unexpected “Kundalini Awakening”—the life energy force surging up through him into the Nirvana state of oneness — fully cracked open that old persona, and ultimately it led our Nick to a new way of living that is in service to humanity and divinity. Nick's website is https://www.nickeaglemystic.com. Learn more about Roberta here: http://robertagrimes.com https://seekreality.com

Why Men Cheat, Why They Keep Cheating, and How to Know If He's Really Changed You asked the hardest questions—so we answered them. Why do men cheat? Why do they keep cheating? Can a man love you and still betray you? Why won't he talk about the affair? And how do you know if he's truly changed? In this deeply honest episode, I sit down with my husband, Shawn, to answer the real questions women ask after infidelity—the same questions they post in my Facebook group, whisper to themselves at 2 a.m., and type into Google when their world has fallen apart. This conversation is raw, thoughtful, and incredibly real. Shawn shares openly from the perspective of the betrayer—not as a clinician, but as a man who lived it, hid it, justified it, and ultimately had to face the truth of what he had done. Together, we talk about validation, compartmentalization, shame, emotional avoidance, repair, trust, intrusive thoughts, and what genuine transformation actually looks like over time. This is not a conversation about excusing betrayal. It's a conversation about understanding it clearly enough to stop repeating the cycle. If you have ever wondered whether he truly understands the pain he caused… whether change is real… or whether healing is possible for you, this episode will meet you there. Top 3 Takeaways Cheating is often a coping mechanism—not an honest solution. Shawn shares how seeking validation, emotional immaturity, and unresolved childhood wounds fueled his choices. This doesn't excuse betrayal, but it does explain why many people cheat instead of leaving or speaking the truth. Real repair requires far more than saying “I'm sorry.” Healing only began when the conversation stopped being about words and started being about transformation, accountability, emotional safety, and the ability to stay present with discomfort. Trust is not rebuilt through promises. It's rebuilt through patterns. This episode breaks down the difference between performance and real change, why trauma triggers can still arise years later, and how trust is rebuilt one regulated, honest, consistent moment at a time. Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #660 is another hour of visionary, dynamic improvised acoustic music played by Mariam Massaro and Bob Sherwood of the Gaea Star Band with Mariam on vocals, Native flute, ukulele, shruti box, sitar, acoustic guitar and mandolin and Bob on piano and tablas. Recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts in early March of 2026, today's show begins with the powerful spring anthem “Let's Weave A Brand-New Story”, a mysterious and energetic raga driven by Mariam's dancing ukulele and Bob's imaginative piano. “Oh, The Winds Of Change” is an inspired, spacious piece punctuated by Mariam's soaring Native flute through a series of powerful movements and “Keep On Loving Life” is a lovely, gentle acoustic guitar ballad with a gorgeous vocal from Mariam atop rolling piano and chiming guitar chords. Mariam strums her evocatively twanging mandolin for the misty, mystical wind song “Where Are We About To Fly?” as Bob composes a bittersweet, melancholic, Prokofiev-like piano motif to support the powerful vocal. For the next suite of improvisations, Mariam strums her exotic, atmospheric sitar, beginning with the dream-like “Maha Lakshmi”, a sweetly droning raga featuring Mariam's fine vocal and Bob's propulsive tabla work. Delicate, lyrical Native flute excursions and tabla polyrhythms lead languidly to today's closer, the gorgeous, powerful, spacious “Nature At Her Best” a sitar raga that grows into a progressive, dynamic piece of modern music with Bob's insistent, subtly shifting ostinatos and Mariam's beautifully choreographed vocal-and-Native-flute dialogs. Episode 7: Understanding Maternal Ambivalence In this episode of Paperclips & Periods, hosts Dr. Emily K. Cabrera, PMHNP-BC, and Katharine "Katie" Krych, MSN, RN, tackle a topic many mothers feel but rarely say out loud: maternal ambivalence—loving your children while longing for your pre-parent self. Emily and Katie create a safe space to explore what maternal ambivalence actually means—and what it doesn't. Missing yourself, questioning decisions, or grieving your old life does not mean you regret your children or are a bad parent. These feelings reflect the profound identity shift that comes with caregiving. You weren't born "Mom"—you were born you. The hosts explain that maternal ambivalence often stems from exhaustion, sleep deprivation, and the relentless mental load—not from wanting to undo parenthood. They distinguish between normal feelings and clinical concerns like postpartum depression, providing guidance on when to seek professional help. They also validate mothers who have experienced late-term miscarriage, emphasizing that grief and hormonal shifts require support even when a baby isn't physically present. Throughout the episode, Katie and Emily challenge the cultural expectation that mothers should be superhuman and always put-together. They normalize the guilt of asking for help, the fear of judgment, and the difficulty of trusting others with your children. Using techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, they encourage listeners to reframe thoughts: replace "I shouldn't feel this way" with "I love my child, and it's okay that I miss my old life." The hosts guide listeners through practical exercises: identify what you miss most, reclaim small rituals that reconnect you with yourself, and recognize when feelings cross into clinical depression. They share personal strategies—taking baths with the door locked, grounding in nature, finding moments of rest—demonstrating that self-care doesn't require grand gestures, just intentional moments. The episode closes with the signature box breathing exercise—a 16-second nervous system reset. The Way of the Mystic Online Revival Weekend 5 - Saturday Movie Session with David Hoffmeister During this Saturday morning movie gathering, part of the The Way of the Mystic weekend revival titled "Radical acceptance of the guidance: Leave the world behind", David helps the listeners shift the focus of the mind toward recognizing the mental "hypnosis" of the world and the necessity of coming into a deep agreement with oneself to follow the light of truth. In his commentary, David centers on the realization that there is no useful choice in the world of space and time other than the consistent alignment with the Holy Spirit. By looking at the world as a complex projection designed to keep the mind distracted, we can begin to see that our only true investment should be in present guidance. Using the metaphor of a mind trapped in a series of deceptive layers, David highlights how we must learn to see through the "hypnotic" suggestions of the ego. Instead of trying to fix or choose between different aspects of the dream, we are invited to accept a state of radical trust where the script is already written, and our only role is to accept the peace that comes with that recognition. Through this lens, the session explores how important it is to learn the lesson that “only truth is true”: by giving special relationships and personal desires to the Holy Spirit, we forgive the illusions of the ego's worthless gifts, allowing the mind to be led back to the awareness of true Identity as Christ. These gatherings take place every weekend in February and March 2026 and include teachings, films, music, panel discussions, and live Q&A sessions with David Hoffmeister. Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #659 is an hour of visionary, improvised acoustic music played by The Gaea Star Band featuring Mariam Massaro on vocals, Tibetan bowls, Native flute and double flute, Celtic harp, acoustic guitar, ukulele and mandolin, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on congas and Native drum. Recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts at the beginning of March, 2026, today's show begins with a quick, concise take of Mariam's beautiful “I Am Love Unfolding” before downshifting into the powerful, shaded minor raga “Transmutation In The Galina Grove”, an affecting piece with an intriguing lyric from Mariam. “Remolding Our Consciousness” is a driving, groovy jam driven with throbbing Native drum, hypnotic piano, skipping ukulele all supporting a high energy lyric from Mariam. Mariam's rich, mesmerizing Tibetan crystal bowls form the mold of “Festival”, a mysterious, dynamic tone poem with Mariam shifting from Celtic harp to bowls to Native flute, all tied together with a deeply spiritual lyric. Double flute fanfares bring in the light, childlike vibe of “The Singing Healing Waters”, a pretty forest story that winds together threads of childhood with visions of the transcendent and the origins of our world. Next up is a medley of two fine songs by Mariam played dynamically and confidently by the ensemble of piano, Native drum and ukulele, the powerful gratitude song “One More Day” and the mystical, evocative “This Is The Way”. We finish today's show with the chiming, fanfare-like mandolin air “Holding Strong As We Sail Along”, an evocative shimmer of a song with a fine vocal to end today's hour. Episode 6: The Mental Load I Didn't Consent For – Paperclips & Periods Podcast In this episode of Paperclips & Periods, hosts Dr. Emily K. Cabrera, PMHNP-BC, and Katharine "Katie" Krych, MSN, RN, dive into the invisible burden exhausting women everywhere: the mental load. This is the constant cognitive labor of remembering, planning, organizing, and managing every detail of household and family life without recognition or rest. Emily and Katie unpack what the mental load actually looks like. It's not just doing the laundry. It's remembering the laundry needs to be done, noticing when detergent is running low, adding it to the shopping list, and keeping track of who needs clean uniforms tomorrow. It's being the household manager, the default parent, the one holding everyone's schedules while your own needs fall to the bottom. The hosts explore why this burden falls disproportionately on women, even when partners "help." They discuss how helping is not the same as owning the responsibility, and why being asked to delegate tasks you never agreed to manage creates resentment and burnout. Katie and Emily validate the exhaustion of carrying invisible labor, the guilt of feeling ungrateful, and the anger of shouldering a load you never consented to carry alone. This conversation extends beyond motherhood to nurses, first responders, and healthcare workers managing professional and personal lives simultaneously. The hosts explain how the mental load compounds stress, contributes to anxiety and depression, and often goes unrecognized until someone breaks. Katie and Emily offer practical strategies: name the mental load out loud, have honest conversations with partners about shared ownership (not just shared tasks), and set boundaries. They discuss tools like shared calendars and the concept of letting go when others do things differently than you would. The hosts also address when the mental load becomes a mental health crisis, providing guidance on recognizing burnout and caregiver fatigue. Emily explains how therapy can help process resentment, rebuild boundaries, and reclaim mental space. The episode closes with the signature box breathing exercise. Honest and validating, this conversation gives permission to acknowledge the invisible work you do and challenges the expectation that you should carry it all. You deserve partnership, not help. You deserve rest, not just productivity. And you deserve to be seen. Kim Hodous Talks About Beyond Grief There is no loss quite so heartbreaking as the loss of a child. And our guest today, Kim Hodous, has lost two children! But she didn't just survive these unthinkable tragedies, but She transformed them, and she let them in turn transform her own life. Kim is the author of a brand-new book called, Beyond Grief: How a Son's Afterlife Connection Transformed a Mother's Loss into a Remarkable Spiritual Journey. There, she shares the beautiful continuation of her relationship with her son, Rob, beyond the veil. Her work dismantles our culture's limited understanding of grief, and reveals it to be, not an ending, but instead a sacred initiation into deeper spiritual truths. Through her ongoing communications with Rob, Kim has become a translator of his profound messages about love, purpose, and the eternal nature of our souls. Her teachings on reincarnation, spiritual evolution, and the permeable boundary between life and death offer revolutionary comfort to those who are walking the path of loss. Kim's approach is refreshingly honest. She doesn't minimize grief, or offer hollow platitudes. Instead, she illuminates how authentic connection with our departed loved ones can coexist with deep healing, spiritual awakening, and even profound joy. Her message is clear: death is not separation, but rather it is transformation, and love is the eternal thread that binds us across all dimensions of existence. Kim's website is www.Kimhodous.com. How to Be Happy After Infidelity (Without Denial, Bypassing, or Pretending): 7 Real Steps Can you really be happy after infidelity? Not through denial. Not through toxic positivity. Not through spiritual bypassing or pretending everything is fine. In this deeply honest episode, I answer the question I've been asked more than any other: “Are you really that happy?” Eight years after betrayal, I share the 7 pillars that helped me move from devastation to grounded, embodied happiness — without minimizing the pain, excusing the betrayal, or bypassing the trauma. We talk about Why happiness after infidelity is a conscious choice The real psychological roots of cheating (and why it wasn't about you) How betrayal trauma impacts your nervous system Why understanding the “why” creates emotional safety Healing invisible wounds like perfectionism, self-abandonment, and martyrdom How to stop performing and start being Why you cannot break the habit of being yourself by yourself If you're navigating betrayal, questioning your future, or wondering whether true happiness is possible after infidelity — this episode will show you what it actually takes. Not perfection. Not pretending. But rising. Top 3 Takeaways Happiness after betrayal begins when you stop identifying as the victim and choose to become the creator of your life. Understanding the real psychological root of infidelity (and why it wasn't about you) creates nervous system safety. You cannot think your way into happiness — you must regulate your nervous system, stop performing, and get real support. The 7 Pillars of Real Happiness After Betrayal Choose to rise instead of identifying as the victim. Understand the true psychological root of infidelity. Heal your invisible wounds (perfectionism, self-abandonment, martyrdom). Stop saying you “wasted” your life. Reclaim what's left. Regulate your nervous system. Stop performing and start being. Get real support — you can't break the habit of being yourself by yourself. Favorite Quote “You were victimized. But staying a victim is a choice.” LOVE THE SHOW? Conscious Ripples: Intuition, Energy, and Living from the Wisdom Within In this heart-centered episode of Friends With The World, host Michelle Villegas is joined by intuitive guide, Reiki master, author, and speaker Shelly Wilson for a rich and expansive conversation about conscious living, intuition, and trusting the wisdom within. Shelly shares her personal journey into intuitive and spiritual work, weaving together childhood experiences, spiritual exploration, and the path that led her to become a professional intuitive and Reiki master. Together, Michelle and Shelly explore the power of conscious conversation, and how awareness allows us to respond to life with greater softness, intention, and compassion rather than reacting from habit or fear. The conversation moves into the art of personal growth and self-empowerment, highlighting Shelly's four books—28 Days to a New You, Connect to the You Within, Journey Into Consciousness, and Embracing the Magic Within. Shelly offers practical insights on intentional breathing, meditation, managing energy, and creating healthy boundaries in a highly stimulated, technology-driven world. A central theme of the episode is learning to trust your inner guidance. Shelly emphasizes the importance of developing personal intuition rather than outsourcing wisdom to external authorities, reminding listeners that doubt often disconnects us from our own inner knowing. Michelle reflects on how we are all in a continual state of practice, gently learning how to meet life with more presence and grace. The episode also touches on healing, perspective, and inclusion. Shelly shares her work with Unity churches and Helping Parents Heal, honoring the many paths people take through grief, loss, and transformation. Together, they explore how contrast and differing perspectives shape our understanding of life and deepen compassion. Listeners are invited to consider the subtle but powerful ripples created by intentional kindness, heart-centered living, and conscious creation. The conversation concludes with an encouragement to honor your energy, trust divine timing, and embrace your unique light as a gift to yourself—and to the world. Shelly Wilson is an author, intuitive medium, Reiki Master and inspirational speaker who is passionate about helping people wake up to their greatness. So You Can Help: What to Do When Someone Is Struggling On this episode of the Make Mental Health Matter Show host Kelli Melissa Reinhardt talks about how much people are struggling and why the pages on the Make Mental Health Matter website for non-crisis, crisis, after an attempt and after a suicide are so valuable. Little bit about Kelli's story from her: I lost my middle sister, who died by suicide on February 20, 2017. I know this time of the year has a high rate of deaths, so I want to give you information to feel confident that you can help someone that might be struggling. I didn't know how to help my sister before she passed and I didn't know how to help myself after she died. Through lots of education, lots of certifications and doing many, many workshops with some of the top professionals in the field I have learned so much about how the brain works, and how to help others. So that is what I give back to the community and hope that this information helps you too. Episode 5: PMS, Hormones & the Emotional Realities of Womanhood In this episode of Paperclips & Periods, hosts Dr. Emily K. Cabrera, EdD, MSN, CAGS, PMHNP‑BC, and Katharine “Katie” Krych, MSN, RN, Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education, PEL‑CSN, open up an honest, unfiltered conversation about one of the most universal yet least openly discussed aspects of women's lives: hormones—from first periods to perimenopause, and every emotional, physical, and psychological shift in between. Together, they explore how hormonal changes shape women's daily experiences, communication, relationships, and mental health across the lifespan. The discussion moves naturally from early puberty and helping young girls understand their bodies, to the complexities of PMS and unpredictable mood shifts, to the emotional impact of fertility struggles, pregnancy loss, and postpartum changes. With vulnerability and humor, they share their personal stories as mothers, clinicians, partners, and women navigating the evolution of their own cycles. Drawing from their backgrounds in psychiatric mental health, nursing, and education, Emily and Katie unpack the emotional realities behind menstruation and reproductive transitions—how cycles sync, how hormones influence sensitivity and emotional regulation, how cultural messaging shapes young girls' understanding of their bodies, and how women often carry the invisible weight of silence when navigating infertility, loss, or perimenopause. They also highlight the layered challenges nurses and caregivers face when balancing their clinical knowledge with their lived emotional experiences. This episode explores the private struggles that often accompany womanhood, including the monthly disappointment of a period when trying to conceive, the loneliness of maintaining secrecy after pregnancy loss, the fear and anxiety during high‑risk pregnancies, and the unexpected emotional reactivity that can surface during perimenopause. The hosts examine how partners cope differently, how miscommunication can deepen isolation, and why many women feel unsupported during some of the most physically and emotionally demanding moments of their lives. Grounded in lived experience, emotional honesty, and clinical insight, this episode reframes hormonal health as far more than a physical process—it is a deeply human journey that deserves openness, compassion, and community. Emily and Katie emphasize the need for generational change, encouraging listeners to speak truthfully about their experiences and to teach their children healthier ways to understand their bodies, emotions, and boundaries. As always, the hosts offer grounding takeaways, including the importance of support networks, the value of speaking openly with trusted others, and the need for emotional follow‑up during fertility challenges and pregnancy loss—areas where the healthcare system often falls short. The episode closes with a calming moment of box breathing to help listeners regulate their nervous systems and reconnect to their bodies with gentleness. Reflective, validating, and deeply real, this episode invites women to honor the full emotional landscape of their hormonal lives—and reminds every listener: you do not have to navigate these experiences in silence. Procrastination Is Protecting Something This episode is for anyone who has ever called themselves lazy while quietly carrying too much. In Episode 8, Verta and Naa reframe procrastination not as a character flaw, but as emotional data. Sometimes we delay because we don't care. Sometimes we delay because we care too much. And sometimes what looks like avoidance is exhaustion, misalignment, fear of being seen, or perfectionism dressed up as productivity. They unpack the shame spiral — the “shoulds,” the urgency culture, the hustle trauma — and explore how delay can function as protection: from visibility, rejection, burnout, or making the wrong decision. But they also name the turning point — when protection becomes pattern, and pattern becomes self-betrayal. Instead of productivity hacks, they offer better questions: Is this delay protecting my alignment — or my fear? If I don't do this, what will it cost me? Because avoidance can feel like safety in the moment. But over time, it becomes self-betrayal. From unfinished conversations sitting heavy in the body to ideas that feel too close to the heart to release, this episode moves beyond productivity and into deeper self-exploration — inviting intentional choices that shape our relationships, creativity, and healing. Clean Made Simple: Natural Toxin-Free Living with guest Beth Newberry, Advocate and Platinum Ambassador, Pure Haven Some of the most heavily-marketed and highly-recognized name brand consumer products today are formulated with toxic chemical ingredients. When these pollutants find their way into the air and water around us, they harm healthy ecosystems? How can we make non-toxic consumer product choices that are more earth-friendly? My guest, Beth Newberry, will help answer these questions and give practical tips for reading ingredient labels. Newberry is a Platinum Ambassador for Pure Haven. She started her foray into non-toxic living 16 years ago when her middle son, Liam was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. She began reading labels on her products and researching the ingredients and realized that many conventional products contain neurotoxins. This drove her passion to educate others on the same topic, and she began supporting more families with switching out to non-toxic alternatives. In addition to her work at Pure Haven, Newberry also chairs the Groundwater Protection Committee in her town of North Smithfield, Rhode Island. Consumers are making healthier choices with regards to food. Making healthier choices with respect to household cleaning and personal care product choices is a natural next step. "A Pure Heart and an Open Mind" - A 'The Way of the Mystic Weekend Online Revival' Movie Workshop with David Hoffmeister In this deep and humorous 'The Way of the Mystic' session from February 14, 2026, David Hoffmeister explores the ego's intricate web of "special relationships" through a comedic lens. Using the metaphor of a high school transformation and the awkward quest for romantic validation, the discussion dismantles the hierarchy of love that the world teaches. Key Themes of the Session: The Illusion of Specialness: David examines how the ego uses categories like "best friend," "partner," and the dreaded "friend zone" to maintain a sense of separation and lack. Humor as a Healing Tool: The session highlights the necessity of laughter in undoing the ego's seriousness, reminding us that we simply "forgot to laugh" at the tiny, mad idea of being separate from God. From Scarcity to Abundance: By looking at our desperate attempts to find love in form, we begin to recognize our inherent worthiness and the consistent, unconditional love of the Christ within. "God did not create bodies, and the problem of judgment is the belief that bodies are real. On Valentine's Day, we celebrate the release from these concepts into the pure light of Agapé love." These gatherings take place every weekend in February and March 2026 and include teachings, films, music, panel discussions, and live Q&A sessions with David Hoffmeister. The “Perfect” Couple and Infidelity: Why High-Achieving Relationships Break (And What to Do Next) You did everything right. You were the smart couple. The committed couple. The high-achieving, “we've got this” couple. Date nights. Careers. Kids. Goals. You worked hard. You showed up. You performed well. So how did infidelity happen to you? If you've ever thought, “We were the perfect couple. This doesn't make sense,” this episode will open your eyes in the most grounded, compassionate way. In this powerful conversation, I sit down with Rachel Dornianu of Sage Counseling & Wellness to unpack the hidden dynamics behind the “perfect couple” myth — and why high-achieving, Type A, perfectionistic relationships are often more vulnerable than they appear. We explore how perfectionism, people-pleasing, high sensitivity, emotional avoidance, and the Gottman “Four Horsemen” quietly erode intimacy over time — even in relationships that look beautiful on the outside. If you're navigating infidelity, feeling blindsided, or wondering how something could fall apart when you both “did everything right,” this episode will help you understand what really happened — and what healing actually requires. Top 3 Takeaways Perfection Isn't the Same as Connection High achievement, polished date nights, and shared goals can mask roommate syndrome, emotional loneliness, and avoidance. When couples stop pausing, attuning, and truly connecting, resentment and unmet needs quietly build beneath the surface. Performance is not intimacy. Infidelity Is Often a Maladaptive Coping Mechanism While betrayal is devastating, it's frequently rooted in avoidance, trauma, shame, unmet emotional needs, and poor coping skills — not pure moral corruption. Understanding the why doesn't excuse the behavior, but it creates clarity. And clarity is the first step toward healing. Healing Requires Addressing What Was Already There Perfectionism. People-pleasing. High sensitivity. Fawning. Walking on eggshells. Avoidance. Emotional flooding. Infidelity doesn't create these patterns — it exposes them. Whether you choose to stay or separate, the real work is learning how to regulate your nervous system, communicate honestly, and stop performing so you can start being. Favorite Quote “Perfection isn't intimacy. Performance isn't connection. And infidelity doesn't create the cracks — it exposes the ones that were already there.” Loving this show? Ready to go deeper? Gaea Star Crystal #658 is an hour of dynamic, improvised visionary acoustic music played by The Gaea Star Band with Mariam Massaro on vocals, Native flute, double flute, kalimba, ukulele, mandolin, acoustic guitar and Tibetan bowls, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on Native drum and congas. Recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts on a cold, mid-winter afternoon in mid-February of 2026, today's show begins with “Liberation”, a peaceful, prayerful raga that begins with singing bowls and features kalimba, piano and Native drum supporting Mariam's message of peace and soaring, echoing Native flute fanfares bring in “Oh, Let's Revel In Our Own Happiness”, a restless, complexly beautiful song with a fine flute-and-voice conversation over galloping Native drum and evocative, modern minor piano figurations. “Embracing The Grace” is an expansive ballad that features a fine vocal and overtone-producing double flute from Mariam with a beautifully emotional coda and “Fire Horse New Year” is a kinetic, energized minor with a powerful lyric from Mariam about new beginnings over skipping, racing piano, chiming ukulele and fundamental Native drum that resolves into a powerful, mysterious coda. “Isis”, a stately song from Mariam's “Gaea Star Goddesses” LP is rendered with a reverent, classical approach and “Reborn” from the “Gaea Star Crystal” LP is a racing, breathless minor rocker with fine vocals and a powerful instrumental hook. “Burning Ember” from Mariam's “Smooth Sailin' Love Songs” album features another powerful vocal from Mariam and we conclude this week's show with a mandolin-driven re-imagining of “All Life Unfolds” a powerful, fundamental raga with a British Isles feel. Leigh Ann Phillips is an award-winning singer songwriter and sound healing educator. She is on a mission to merge sound and music to assist people in leading more fulfilling lives in healthier bodies. Her work is taking her all over the world and back again. Leigh Ann has developed a method of brainwave entrainment through the use of her voice and the quartz crystal singing bowls. It is a form of sound healing based on research on the brain as well as the musical system called the Circle of Fifths. The purpose of the work is to help people release emotions from the body, as well as raise the level of health and well being physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. She has developed a method of shifting and slowing the brain states, allowing people to not just relax but release emotional blocks that are allowing dis-ease in the body. Her method incorporates the use of the quartz crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, tingshaws, harp, piano, herbal medicine as well as her voice. Using mantras in languages such as Sanskrit, Enochian and Aramaic, Leigh Ann incorporates ancient mantras and prayers to enhance the power of the sound. This method actually places the bowls on the person, so the person is receiving not just music and sound, but also vibration. Her passion is to assist people in building an awareness of consciousness to the mind, body and spirit. Some people would call this allowing sound and music to be a bridge to the soul. Leigh Ann is now back in Crestone, Colorado! She has been bringing sound healing and the music of the quartz crystal singing bowls into the mainstream. She has given demonstrations and sound healing sessions most recently in Taiwan, the Hawaiian islands, at the Gem Exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C, as well as at a Playboy event in the Los Angeles area. She has also made television and radio appearances on various health, and lifestyle programs in Hawaii, New York, Massachusetts, Colorado, New Mexico, as well as the Orient. The sound and the music have merged, and Leigh Ann's passion for life has sounded into a path where music can bring not just beauty, but health, peace and the evolution of the soul. Leigh Ann's latest recorded album release, Mik'ael (2013), is a musical tapestry of mantras, sung in the Enochian language, accompanied by quartz crystal singing bowls and world instruments. Mik'ael is a musical collaboration with writer and producer, Thomas Barquee, recorded at Zenden Studios in California. Ideal for yoga and meditation, Mik'ael is a healing offering to the Archangel Michael, and all that is peaceful in nature and ourselves. Her next recording project will be spoken word, co-created again with Thomas Barquee. She is also the Executive Director of The Shimmering Sounds Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to bringing sound healing as a complimentary therapy to the masses. The foundation has given hundreds of free sessions to people that could not normally afford holistic health sessions. The foundation incorporates the use of a crystal healing bed as well, a complementary treatment to the sound using color, vibration and light. Currently she has developed her own line of quartz crystal singing bowls, using unusual gemstones to infuse the bowls, as well as etching ancient mandalas that amplify the intention of this sacred art through the power of the sound. https://www.leighannphillips.com/ Call In and Chat with Deborah during Live Show: 833-220-1200 or 319-527-2638 Learn more about Deborah here: www.lovebyintuition.com

Episode 4: High‑Achieving Women Who Are Silently Struggling In this episode of Paperclips & Periods, hosts Dr. Emily K. Cabrera, EdD, MSN, CAGS, PMHNP‑BC, and Katharine “Katie” Krych, MSN, RN, Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education, PEL‑CSN, sit down with special guest Dr. Arlicia Miller, founder and Chief Transformation Officer of the Umbrella of Artistic Expression and life transformation coach with Dual Minds Integrative Psychiatry. Together, they dive into a topic so many women live with daily but rarely name out loud: the experience of being a high‑functioning woman who is quietly, persistently struggling beneath the surface. Drawing from Dr. Miller's transformational coaching work, Dr. Cabrera's psychiatric mental health expertise, and Katie's background in nursing and education, the conversation unpacks the hidden challenges that accompany competence, ambition, caregiving roles, and emotional labor. They explore why high‑functioning women often feel obligated to “push through,” how early conditioning reinforces silence, and why vulnerability can feel risky—even among friends, colleagues, and partners. From motherhood and marriage, to career advancement, to the weight of societal expectations, this episode explores how women learn to hold everything together externally while internally battling exhaustion, depletion, and self‑doubt. The hosts also examine how gender norms, family roles, trauma histories, and cultural narratives shape women's measurements of worthiness and success. With compassion and honesty, they discuss the “struggle bus,” the fear of judgment, the stigma around asking for help, and the labels women often carry without realizing how deeply they shape identity. Grounded in lived experience, psychology, and integrative wellness, this episode reframes “high‑functioning” not as a badge of honor, but as a clue—an invitation to pause, rest, and reconnect with one's authentic self. As always, the hosts offer thoughtful takeaways and practical strategies, including the importance of small resets, the power of journaling, the need for safe relationships, and even a guided moment of box breathing to help listeners regulate their nervous systems in real time. Reflective, relatable, and deeply human, this episode encourages women to release the myth of having it all together and replace it with a more compassionate truth: you don't have to carry everything alone. Liz Entin Talks About WTF Just Happened? The fact is pretty universally known that for all of us, those that we love, who are older than we are, will likely go on ahead of us to the next stage of life. And for some of us, as it was for our great friend, Sandra Champlain, to have someone we love die is going to be the occasion for deciding that it is time for us to really research death, and to figure it all out! And so it was as well for Elizabeth Entin, who is our guest today. Liz Entin began researching the afterlife evidence and everything paranormal in 2015, following the passing of her father. While she still considers herself to be skeptical, and even an atheist, (although she is a cultural Jew), the evidence that she discovered for the afterlife really blew her away. She is the author of two books in the WTF Just Happened series: The first is Book One – WTF Just Happened?!: A sciencey-skeptic explores grief, healing, and evidence of an afterlife And the second is Book Two – WTF Just Happened?!: A sciencey skeptic investigates even more evidence of an afterlife and fights for justice with her dead dog. She is the host of a podcast called, WTF Just Happened?!: All about the afterlife. No woo. She also runs “Science and Spirituality”, which is a private events group, an intimate group of just you and your friends, where you can learn more about the science behind an afterlife, and get readings from highly evidential mediums who have been tested by scientists. All the underlined words are links that will take you to her relevant websites. Learn more about Roberta here: http://robertagrimes.com https://seekreality.com

The Questions Everyone Asks After Betrayal (But Are Sometimes Hard to Put Into Words) The Questions Everyone Asks After Betrayal (But Are Sometimes Hard to Put Into Words) begin long before you say them out loud. After betrayal, the questions don't stop. They wake you up at 2 a.m. They loop in your mind while you're driving. They rise in your throat… and sometimes you're too afraid to even ask them. Why does this hurt so much? Will I ever trust again? Should I stay or leave? Am I broken? Will I survive the answer? In this powerful, nervous-system–aware episode, Lora answers the most common questions people search for after infidelity and betrayal — not with platitudes, but with grounded insight, lived experience, and deep compassion. More importantly, she helps you listen for the question beneath the question — the one that's really asking: Am I safe? Am I going to be okay? Can I trust myself again? If you've ever Googled your pain late at night, wondered how long healing takes, or feared that asking the wrong question might make everything worse, this episode is for you. You are not wrong for having questions. You are not weak for needing reassurance. And you are not broken. Top 3 Takeaways The question beneath the question is always about safety. Whether you're asking why it hurts, how long healing takes, or whether you should stay or go — underneath it all is a deeper question: Am I safe? Can I trust myself again? Healing is not linear — but it is possible. The nervous system needs time, regulation, and support. Feeling better is not the same as feeling regulated — and that distinction matters. Trust is rebuilt inside you first. You cannot rely on your partner to restore your safety. Rebuilding self-trust, alignment, and internal steadiness is the foundation for everything else.
