O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.4 Let them now that fear the Lord say, that his mercy endureth for ever.5 I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?7 The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.9 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.10 All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them.11 They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.12 They compassed me about like bees: they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.13 Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.14 The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.16 The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.18 The Lord hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord:20 This gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter.21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.23 This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.25 Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.27 God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.29 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

The episode starts with Psalm 139:7-12 which declares there is NO Place you can go where the Lord can’t go and find you. That is good news if you are feeling bad. To undo that feeling, we are going to offer a prayer of thanksgiving. Praise puts us in the right relationship with God. It brings us closer to Him. That will solve all of your problems. The ministry of Elijah precedes the coming of the Messiah. Zacharias was told that his son, John, would be of the spirit and power of Elijah. The ministry of Elijah is a ministry to turn the hearts of the people of the God of Israel to the Torah and to prepare Israel for the end of the exile and the coming of the Messiah. John the Baptist was born at Passover. According to tradition, the Jews expect Elijah to be revealed at Passover season. In the Temple service there was a fourth drawing of lot for various duties. After the morning Temple service was concluded, next came the minchah and drink offerings. Trumpets were blown and Levites sang with the drink offerings. Public offerings were brought between the two lamb offerings. The evening lamb sacrifice was at 3pm. The sacrifice took one hour and during this time. prayers were said in the temple. When Yeshua died at 3pm (when the second tamid lamb was slaughtered in the Temple) Psalm 118 was being recited: The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. Psalm 118: 22, 25 Are these teachings a blessing to you? In moments of distress it's important to remember that God loves us and that He can bring us out from where we are into a new place of wholeness and prosperity. Knowing what He has promised us gives us the confidence to pray for and to expect His will to come to pass in our lives. Like David, we can pray bold prayers for the Lord to send His salvation and the true prosperity only He can bring! Text Reference: Matthew 21:6-14 (KJV) 6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, 7 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. 8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. 9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. 10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? 11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee. 12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, 13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. 14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. Luke 19:37-39 (KJV) 37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; 38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. 39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. Acts 2:36 (KJV) 36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Psalm 118:25-26 (KJV) 25 Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. 26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. Acts 4:12 (KJV) 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Matthew 5:8 (KJV) 8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7 (KJV) 3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: 4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; 5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: 6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. 7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. Hebrews 12:14-17 (KJV) 14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: 15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; 16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. Acts 5:1-3 (KJV) 1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, 2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. 3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Acts 5:4 (KJV) 4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. Titus 1:12-13 (KJV) 12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, the Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. 13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Acts 5:5 (KJV) 5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. 1 Corinthians 11:27-30 (KJV) 27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. Revelation 2:5 (KJV) 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. Philippians 3:3 (KJV) 3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Ephesians 3:21 (KJV) 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Luke 19:47-48 (KJV) 47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him, 48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him. Colossians 1:25-28 (KJV) 25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; 26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: 2 Timothy 4:2 (KJV) 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. Mark 16:17-18 (KJV) 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 14:12 (KJV) 12 And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?
