884 The Field Is Ready To Harvest, A Guided Christian Meditation on John 4:31-35 with the Recenter With Christ app The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in  and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ.  Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization.  You can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes. You should hopefully not be driving or anything tense or unrelaxing.  If you feel comfortable doing so, I invite you to close your eyes.   Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation:   Breathe and direct your thoughts to connecting with God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate,  deflate. Scripture for Meditation John 4 KJV KJV 31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. 32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. 33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? 34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. 35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. NASB 31 Meanwhile the disciples were urging Him, saying, "Rabbi, eat something." 32 But He said to them, "I have food to eat that you do not know about." 33 So the disciples were saying to one another, "No one brought Him anything to eat, did he?" 34 Jesus *said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work. 35 Do you not say, 'There are still four months, and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the fields, that they are white for harvest. Reflection on Scripture: Jesus first used water to describe the gospel to the woman and now to his disciples he uses the analogy of food. God's love and word is more eternally satisfying than food and water and we should equally hunger and thirst for it. The disciples struggled to understand as is often the case but he was not only teaching them the value of God's word but also something else. There are times when we work hard for good things and feel as though we dont see the natural results of that hard work. It is also the case at other times you receive blessings beyond what you deserve. This is true in the work of sharing the gospel. Sometimes we pour out our hearts to others about our love for God and what he has done and we plant the seed. Other times we see the tail end of the conversation. The important thing to notice is that the only way we see any part of it, is if we are involved in the work of the field. There are likely people you care for who you wish you could help to come closer to God and to choose Him. Do the best you can with your role with that person. Perhaps you are the seed planter and perhaps you are the harvester. That is not within your control.  Ultimately as with sharing the gospel as in all other areas of life, we do not get what we deserve. And praise the grace of a loving God that we dont. I am so very grateful that I dont get what I deserve because I am a flawed and fallen man. My efforts of sharing the gospel and many other things are so flawed, and yet God takes those incomplete and messed up efforts and he perfects them for His purposes. Do the best you can to live what God puts on your heart and then trust the rest to Him. In every case, dont worry, you wont get what you deserve.  Many times we see  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Meditation of God and His Glory / Hesychasm: I invite you to sit in silence feeling patient for your own faults and trials. Summarize what insights you have gained during this meditation and meditate and visualize positive change in your life: This is a listener funded podcast at patreon.com/christianmeditationpodcast Final Question: If you consider the invitation and command to persevere in the faith, what change in your life does that bring to your mind?  FIND ME ON: Download my free app: Recenter with Christ Website - ChristianMeditationPodcast.com Voicemail - (602) 888-3795 Email: jared@christianmeditationpodcast.com Apple Podcasts - Christian Meditation Podcast Facebook.com/christianmeditationpodcast Youtube.com/christianmeditaitonpodcast Twitter - @ChristianMedPod

(This podcast was previously published on September 13, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   The Old Testament and the children of God:   Moses selected men from the tribes of Israel and they assisted him in judging the people.  There were 600,000 men (plus women and children) in the wilderness so it became too much for Moses to do all the work alone.   Moses' father-in-law suggested another plan for Moses in dealing with the people.   Exodus 18   8 And Moses told his father in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how the LORD delivered them.   9 And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which the LORD had done to Israel, whom HE had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians.   10 And Jethro said, Blessed be the LORD, who hath delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, WHO hath delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.   11 Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly HE (God) was above them.   12 And Jethro, Moses' father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' father in law before God.

Believe His Prophets

Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?14 It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.15 And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken.16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?17 Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?18 Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.19 Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,20 That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?21 Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?24 By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?25 Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?28 Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go and say unto thee, Here we are?36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,38 When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?39 Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,40 When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.

Genealogies are easy to skip, but they can change how you see Jesus and yourself. We open Matthew 1:1–6 & 16–17 tracing lineages from Abraham to David to Christ, then we turn to Hebrews 1:1–5 to hear the bigger news, God has spoken to us by His Son. That combination gives us a sharp picture of Jesus' true humanity and His divine authority, not as abstract doctrine, but as a foundation you can stand on when your week gets noisy. From there, we get personal about identity and purpose. If we accept Christ, we're not just inspired by a story, we're adopted into God's family, with real access to God through Jesus. And with that belonging comes responsibility, the “family business.”We focus on two core assignments that shape Christian living and spiritual growth, love through action and sharing the gospel. We talk honestly about why loving yourself can be the harder challenge, and how Scriptures on self-control, renewal of the mind, and disciplined living help us become a visible example that matches what we say we believe. We also clear up the pressure around evangelism. Preaching doesn't have to be with a microphone or in a pulpit. For most of us, it looks like a lived sermon - steady faith, faithful service, and small acts done in our own corner of the world while we keep going even when we're tired. If you're looking for a Christian podcast Bible study that connects Matthew 1, Hebrews 1, discipleship, and practical daily obedience, this one is built for you. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs encouragement, and leave a review with the verse or idea you're taking with you.===Matthew 1:1-6  -  King James Version1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;4 And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;6 And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;---Matthew 1:16-17  -  King James Version16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.Hebrews 1:1-5  -  King James Version1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. 1 Samuel 13:12 (KJV) 12 Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering. 1 Samuel 13:13-14 (KJV) 13 And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. 14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee. 1 Samuel 15:3 (KJV) 3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. 1 Samuel 15:9 (KJV) 9 But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly. Acts 4:12 (KJV) 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. James 1:25 (KJV) 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. Romans 6:16 (KJV) 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Not too long ago I wrote a blog piece entitled “Music Hath Charms” in which I argued for the softening and transformational nature of music (adding a plug for choir directors with the suggestion they were mostly all underpaid). One person who read the piece called my attention to some (shall we say) less edifying music and said, “What about this music?” I replied: “Good point.” My respondent was right: not all music hath charms to soothe the savage breast. Indeed, some music hath charms to incite a savage breast or even to create savagery in the human breast where it did not exist before. All music hath charms but sometimes the charms are harmful.

Former NASA robotics engineer Bill Vaile was a skeptic, a problem-solver, and a guy who probably trusted math more than mysterious bumps in the night. Then he took one very weird water-treatment service call in Arlington, Texas, walked up to a house where a woman appeared to be commanding something to “leave” several young men in the name of Jesus Christ, and allegedly brought home the worst unpaid internship in demon management history. This week we dig into the chilling and bizarre claims of Bill Vaile's alleged demonic infestation: the strange exorcism-like house call, the fried bacon smell, the bed shaking, the phone calls hijacked by growling unknown voices, the flying water bottle, the shadow figures, the cat-like familiar, the paranormal investigators, and the fedora-wearing black figure that Vaile believed was the big boss of the whole haunted house staff meeting. Was Bill Vaile the victim of a genuine demonic attachment? Did he accidentally become the spiritual baggage claim for someone else's exorcism? Or is this a case of stress, sleep deprivation, suggestion, and paranormal TV turning one man's nightmare into a full-blown demonic casserole? Grab your holy water, check your closet for flying boxes, and never trust a Saturday work appointment again. Paul, a called apostle of Jesus Christ, through the will of God, and Sosthenes the brother,1COR.1:2 to the assembly of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all those calling upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place - both theirs and ours:1COR.1:3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!1COR.1:4 I give thanks to my God always concerning you for the grace of God that was given to you in Christ Jesus,1COR.1:5 that in every thing ye were enriched in him, in all discourse and all knowledge,1COR.1:6 according as the testimony of the Christ was confirmed in you,1COR.1:7 so that ye are not behind in any gift, waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,1COR.1:8 who also shall confirm you unto the end - unblamable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ;1COR.1:9 faithful [is] God, through whom ye were called to the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.1COR.1:10 And I call upon you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that the same thing ye may all say, and there may not be divisions among you, and ye may be perfected in the same mind, and in the same judgment,1COR.1:11 for it was signified to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe, that contentions are among you;1COR.1:12 and I say this, that each one of you saith, ‘I, indeed, am of Paul' - ‘and I of Apollos,' - ‘and I of Cephas,' - ‘and I of Christ.'1COR.1:13 Hath the Christ been divided? was Paul crucified for you? or to the name of Paul were ye baptized;1COR.1:14 I give thanks to God that no one of you did I baptize, except Crispus and Gaius -1COR.1:15 that no one may say that to my own name I did baptize;1COR.1:16 and I did baptize also Stephanas' household - further, I have not known if I did baptize any other.1COR.1:17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but - to proclaim good news; not in wisdom of discourse, that the cross of the Christ may not be made of none effect;1COR.1:18 for the word of the cross to those indeed perishing is foolishness, and to us - those being saved - it is the power of God,1COR.1:19 for it hath been written, ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the intelligence of the intelligent I will bring to nought;'1COR.1:20 where [is] the wise? where the scribe? where a disputer of this age? did not God make foolish the wisdom of this world?1COR.1:21 for, seeing in the wisdom of God the world through the wisdom knew not God, it did please God through the foolishness of the preaching to save those believing.PAYPAL:spiritforce01@gmail.comBITCOIN:3H4Z2X22DuVUjWPsXKPEsWZmT9c4hDmYvyVENMO:@faithbucksCASHAPP:$spiritforcebucksZelle:faithbucks@proton.mePATREON:Michael BashamHOME BASE SITE:faithbucks.com

This is message 46 in Gospel Record of John John 14:7-15 God has fully revealed Himself through Jesus Christ, making the invisible Father known through the life, words, and works of the Son. To know Christ is to know God personally, because everything about His character displays the heart of the Father. This relationship transforms every part of life, producing confidence in prayer, power for service, and a desire to obey. Genuine love for Him is not merely spoken but demonstrated through a life that trusts His Word and follows His commands. From the very beginning, the authority of God's Word has been under attack. God gave clear instruction in the Garden of Eden as recorded in Genesis 2:16 and following: "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, 'Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.'" In Genesis chapter 3, the serpent spoke to Eve, "Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" The serpent put this question in her mind to cause doubt and later countered what God said, "Ye shall not surely die." Tragically, Eve took of the fruit and ate it. She gave it to Adam, who also ate it, and thus sin entered into the world. We often look back and ask how could they do such a thing. Yet, in our secular world and in pulpits across the country, the same challenge is happening day after day, questioning the authority of the Scriptures. Returning to Crosstalk to answer this concern was Ken Ham. Ken is founder of Answers in Genesis and its life-changing attractions: the highly acclaimed Creation Museum and the world-renowned Ark Encounter. Ken is a biblical apologist and author of multiple books, including Divine Dilemma (understanding death, disease, and suffering); Divided Nation (about today's culture wars); Creation to Babel (a devotional commentary); The Lie: Unraveling the Myth: Evolution/Millions of Years and Miraculous: The Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis Story.

Through six piercing questions, Solomon exposes the emotional, relational, and physical consequences of drunkenness and addiction. In today's Morning Manna, Rick Wiles teaches how what promises relief only multiplies sorrow, why lingering in temptation leads to predictable destruction, and how true healing begins with recognizing the root and turning to God's restoring grace. This is message 40 in Gospel Record of John John 12:37-50 Clear truth does not guarantee belief, because the greatest barrier is not a lack of evidence but a hardened heart that refuses to respond. When light is continually rejected, it leads to deeper blindness, while genuine faith must move beyond private agreement to open confession. The call of grace remains urgent, offering life and light to all who will receive it, yet warning that the same truth that saves today will one day stand as the standard of judgment for those who turn away. The prophet Isaiah foretold of Christ, but he also prophesied that there would be people who would not be able to hear and receive the message.  The rejection of Christ by the Jews was part of that prophecy, as well as the grace extended to the gentiles who can hear His word.  God chooses who He will save, but those chosen should not be boastful or have a sense of entitlement.  We cannot know who God choses; our job is to keep trusting and looking to Him.
