Although infrequent movie watchers might be most familiar with filmmaker Brian De Palma's Scarface and Mission Impossible, his most prolific era actually came between 1972-1981, which is what filmmaker and book author Laurent Bouzereau refers to as “The De Palma Decade” in his new book of the same name. Beginning with De Palma's 1972 film Sisters, and ending with his 1981 film Blow Out, Bouzereau break down the iconic filmmaker's themes and thought process when developing each work within this decade. For this week's FilmWeek feature, we'll sit down with Laurent Bouzereau, author of the new book “The De Palma Decade: Redefining Cinema with Doubles, Voyeurs, and Psychic Teens,” and get into how this pioneer of New Hollywood cinema made his mark.

A Psychic's Story: Kids' Edition is a new seasonal podcast hosted by Nichole Bigley and was created to help kids and teens shift their vibration, develop their intuition and become more empowered. Spirituality is innate. It links the brain, the mind and the body. Research shows that spirituality creates strong connections between children and their environments because spirituality can precede and transcend language, culture and religion. It is through this that kids develop and strengthen their identity and make sense of their values and beliefs – ultimately learning to trust themselves. Add to that our innate psychic senses – how some of us learn to develop our intuition as we grow older, yet others “shut it down.” How do we teach that both spirituality and psychic abilities can peacefully co-exist together? More importantly, how can children and teens develop their intuition and become more empowered as a resultThis is why this new podcast was created. It was specifically created for intuitive kids and teens, as well as the parents and caregivers who support them. In the first episode of A Psychic's Story: Kids' Edition, we cover what's coming up in first season, which is focused on the foundational elements for parents and caregivers of psychic children and teens. Future seasons will be geared more for intuitive kids. Listen to A Psychic's Story: Kids' Edition wherever you get your podcasts. You can binge the full season right now. Unlucky number 13 never proved to me more true. This podcast has the distinction of having the most rambling, confused album review ever recorded. Anyhoo, Lou and Jaime gab about Psychic Teens, Nothing, The Bird and the Bee, Digitalism, and Babymetal. Then we are joined by Jenks (via the magic of post production) to gab about..Zines!!!! Music featured in the podcast (to give the devils their fair use due) "Thirteen" - Danzig (as performed by Mr. Johnny Cash)" Simpsons Ending Theme" (Afro Cuban Mix) - Danny Elfman (from "Songs in the Key of Springfield") "TARNISH" - Psychic Teens "Tired of Tomorrow" - Nothing "Young and Dumb" - The Bird and the Bee "Battlecry" - Digitalism "Karate" - Babymetal "Richie Dagger's Crime" - The Germs "Firestarter" - Prodigy" "F**K" Roxy Saint and, as always...
