A fusion of punk, garage, and noise rock, the 1996 album Blastronaut by The Lee Harvey Oswald Band is a bombastic, high energy record drawing upon 70s David Bowie, classic rock, and the Stooges. Confrontational and darkly humorous, the band leans into a satirical, sometimes absurdist tone, reflecting a punk ethos while incorporating elements of Southern culture and psychedelic weirdness. The alias-driven mystique and off-kilter presentation of the band begets an aggressive, theatrical style that may have been out of touch with the mid-1990s, but is worth revisiting. The Potter Discussion: Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts and the Wizarding World Fandom
Send us a textIn this episode, we discuss how the story would change if Harry were more like James. Enjoy!Topics/Summary:· 1:56 Why are these episodes are important? Well, it isn't too early to start discussing possibilities for the show. He probably won't turn out exactly the same in the TV show than in the book or the film, so we should use the time we have to examine all outcomes and possibilities for the story.· 6:00 He wouldn't be as close with Ron and Hermione. The trio is a classic group and they are very tight knit, but it might not be as strong if Harry were more like James. Hermione and Harry balance out Ron's brashness to some degree, and all is well. However, Hermione might not be able to keep the group together if both Harry and Ron were even a little bit bold.· 12:11 Harry would be more popular and less respected. If Harry were more like James, he would probably be more of the popular quidditch star which would overshadow what he did with Voldemort. Additionally, he would enjoy the attention instead of shrinking away from it like he does in the written story.· 20:39 He would have more confrontations. James is more of a hot-head, and can be exited into a fight much easier. If Harry picked up these traits, his relationship with Malfoy would probably be more violent. Further, Voldemort could prey on this weakness and get Harry off his game much more than if Harry had his head on straight.· 26:11 He would fiercely protect his friends and family. We've talking a lot about the bad, but this is something towards the good. James sacrifices himself to give Lily a chance to escape with Harry on the night they died, and that sentiment transferred to Harry would result in a very committed person so protecting those who he cares about.Having anything you want to hear or say? Luke 19:45-20:8 | JD Summers Jesus has ultimate authority over all. In expressing his authority, he values right worship and exposes unbelief. We must not corrupt or stain true worship, but rather come to Christ with clean hands and open hearts. Those who approach worship with a spirit of unbelief will find themselves in opposition to the authority of Christ, but all those who come to Jesus in faith will enjoy the blessings and mercy of our good and kind King.
E.Z., Mark, and Oscar discuss various approaches to sharing the gospel. They highlight Ray Comfort's creative methods and his intentionality in evangelism. For introverts hesitant to share the gospel, the key is being authentic to who God made them to be. Psalm 139 emphasizes that each person is intentionally designed by God, and every personality type is equipped to evangelize. Believers should explore their unique ways of fulfilling the call to share the gospel, remembering the same Holy Spirit that empowered the disciples resides in them.Declaration evangelism involves intentionally proclaiming the gospel through open-air preaching, one-on-one conversations, or passing out tracts. Bringing someone along for accountability can help, as intentionality is vital. God delights even in small efforts. Begin by incorporating evangelism into everyday activities, such as handing out tracts before a movie. Family is an excellent evangelism team; children can watch and learn as parents hand out tracts. Initiating small steps can build confidence and consistency. For those interested in open-air preaching, starting small is key. One-on-one conversations are another great method, starting with questions about life and purpose. Creativity is essential: go door-to-door, give out tracts, or visit places where people are open to discussions. Confrontational evangelism focuses on engaging others with the intent of confronting, often involving apologetics. This approach might include visiting specific groups, like Mormons or Muslims, to witness. Preparation is crucial—knowing why you believe what you believe and being ready to answer common questions. Admitting when you don't know something is okay, as humility resonates. Online evangelism is another significant avenue. Social media offers a vast mission field, but it's vital to remember there's a person behind every screen. Oscar suggests transitioning online connections into real-life conversations, such as inviting someone for coffee. Lastly, relational evangelism focuses on building relationships with coworkers, friends, and neighbors. Acts of service, like sharing baked goods or helping neighbors, can open doors to share the gospel. Living out the gospel authentically in daily life allows others to see its transformative power. Holidays provide natural opportunities to evangelize, whether by hosting gatherings or sharing the gospel during celebrations. The key is taking intentional steps to share the gospel in ways that align with one's personality and circumstances.Send us a textThanks for listening! Michelle Gladieux, a communication expert, debate coach, executive coach, and author of “Communicate with Courage: Taking Risks to Overcome the Four Hidden Challenges,“ brings years of experience in training leaders in almost every industry for more impactful presentations. Four personality skills consist of: 1) driver for highly assertive person; 2) analyst is great at details; 3) amiable means you are flexible; 4) expressive style is one who is gregarious and loves to talk. The four challenges: 1) hiding from risk when the risk should be confronted; 2) defining to be right and confident; 3) rationalizing the negative and being afraid to bring it up; 4) settling for just “good enough.” Example of ProMoves is just doing a little more than the average reaction. Mainstream media was accurately criticized for biased, unprofessional coverage of the Trump-Harris Campaigns, especially by consistently burying many of Trump's acerbic inaccurate statements such as imprisoning some political opponents.

Join me and my guest Jennie as we explore how growth requires the courage to confront both ourselves and others. We often avoid conflict out of fear, but true growth happens when we face it head-on. We'll discuss the misconception that growth has a finish line, and how it's an ongoing process shaped by every challenge we face. Tune in to learn how embracing confrontation can lead to deeper self-awareness and lasting personal development.

Happy Thursday and Virgo season you beautiful sesssssi people
Here's the magic link: Click here! Email me at 2020@exhostage.com Power of Imagination Podcast. So when I have time, when I make time to talk to the homeless people, to talk to Kate, and I ask Kate, "what can you teach me today?" Since learning is behavior change, What can you teach me today? Nine times out of 10, when I start with, what can you teach me today? Or what would you like to tell me about? Nine times out of 10, it's data. And it's data designed to take me to a destination. And that's the nature of English, isn't it? Subject, verb, predicate. English takes you in a direction. That's what spoken word does. We can't help but do it. But we can hack it a tiny little bit in a way that's really, really lovely. "Kate, what can you teach me today?" "Since learning is behavior change." That's often met with some very fascinating eye movements. A breath, a repositioning of the body. And if they don't go straight into their game, And to their agenda, we get to dance. And the dance reveals something marvelous about them and about me. And about you. For a people without vision shall perish, but he who knows the law. Ooh, how good is that? He who knows the law. What's the law? Your imaginal experience leads all your other experience. You can imagine it's hard, you can imagine it's fun. You can imagine there's only a few good people in the world of 8 billion. Or you can imagine that each and every one of us is a dance of divinity and humanity. You can imagine and experience in a way that invites people to show up, and dare I say, grow up. And still remain as little children, innocent and trusting. Open to exploration. So I wake up this morning with this crazy idea, and if you're listening to this, cool. And the crazy idea is this, I'm opening up three spots in my schedule a week. 30 minute calls at a special rate. If you're listening to this and it's on a webpage, there'll be a link where you can click and see, hey, if something is available, you'll be able to join in the fun. One on one, you and me, 30 minutes. And I imagine it'll be like a conversation with me and Kate. That's how they tend to be. People have confrontational inner conversations constantly, from what I can tell. Think about it. Look around. Look at how people's eyes move, look at how they breathe. Notice what comes out of the tube of toothpaste that they are. Confrontational inner conversations. And I'm inviting you to something expansive and explorative. If you can hear it in the sound of my voice, if you feel it in your belly, if you know this is just something "I want to do..." Do it just for fun. It may solve some problems. Seems like imagining the world is a fun house does... imagining it's a battlefield and having confrontational inner conversations, right? That's not fun. So there should be a link. If there's not drop me a note because I'm in the mood. I'm not in the mood to motivate you. I'm in the mood to dance with you, to, to experience dance and delight where there hasn't been. I spent so much of my life in defense and distraction, diversion, And we all can go there at any time. But the more dance you bring in, the more dance you got, the more you dance, the more you can dance, let's dance. And if you're entertaining this as a possibility, I invite you right now to imagine not just after our call, but a year from now, what's it like? Imagine we've had a conversation or two... and imagine how they've changed your world as we go into the silence. There are miracles in every moment. There are possibilities. Or most people see problems. My name is Mr. 2020. You have been listening to the Power Of Imagination Podcast. If you want to work with us, click that link. If you don't see a link, drop me an email. Happy to help. Have a lovely day. See ya.
Text us about this show.Imagine a point where Metallica, Queen, The Black Keys, Foxy Shazam, Meatloaf and others intersect. Now stop imagining because that point exists with TUK. Andrew, Allen, Michael, and Ty pull from all of these influences (and keep adding more!) to create a sound unique not just in the local music scene in NE Wisconsin, but in the state. Their latest album, Confrontations, was three years in the making and is powerful and downright cinematic in scope. These guys aren't a one trick pony either as their acoustic performances are every bit as powerful as when they're plugged in. Have you ever found yourself sweating bullets over a hard conversation that NEEDS to happen? Conflict might not feel good, especially if you're non-confrontational, but unresolved conflict can feel even worse. Like a wound that festers, sometimes the problem continues to grow and it can create bitterness in your heart. The answer? Have the conversation. Even when it's hard. Lyncon Martinez, host of Gather the Gals, is joining me on the podcast today for a deep dive into how to have those hard conversations, while maintaining Biblical grace and honor. From talking to your in-laws or your spouse, to dealing with uncomfortable conversations involving your close friends, Lyncon and I will help you navigate the tough moments and help you find the courage you need, so that the conversation can happen and the healing can begin. ————— Find this Episode on the Blog | KatieHedrick.com/185 ————— Looking for Your Next Step?
