Silver didn't just rally in 2025 — it broke out. After blasting through the multi-decade $50 ceiling and printing a violent spike into the $80s, silver finished the year still above $70, up roughly 140% while gold surged 64%. Meanwhile, the asset CNBC swore would win the year — Bitcoin — finished down, and Michael Saylor's Strategy (MicroStrategy) collapsed to a fresh 52-week low.In this episode, Peter Schiff explains why the “blow-off top” narrative is wrong, why silver's skepticism is actually bullish, and why this breakout is the start of a new leg higher — not the end. He also lays out why 2026 is shaping up as stagflation (weaker growth + stronger inflation), why tariffs will filter into consumer prices, why the Fed will face massive political pressure to cut and monetize, and why capital is rotating out of U.S. assets and into precious metals, commodities, foreign stocks, and emerging markets. If you're still treating Bitcoin as “digital gold,” this is your warning shot: silver is signaling something big — and crypto may be next to unwind.

What were our joyfully cool cosmic things of 2025? To find out, Dr. Charles Liu and co-host Allen Liu welcome three members of The LIUniverse production team: Jon Barnes, our Editor and self-proclaimed “#1 LIUniverse Fan,” Stacey Severn, our Social Media Manager/Community Director, and physics student Eleanor Adams, the show's first intern. Unlike nearly every episode so far, this time, rather than limit ourselves to one joyfully cool cosmic thing, the team is going to each share their individual joyfully cool cosmic things of 2025. Chuck's saving his for later, so instead, we're just going to jump right into everyone's favorite “cosmic thing of the year”, starting with our co-host, Allen Liu. Allen picks the Vera C. Rubin Observatory and the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST). Allen and Chuck, who is also on the Rubin's Science Advisory Committee and has been involved in the development of the Observatory for over a quarter century, discuss how truly amazing the images are in terms of detail and resolution. Allen shares that he's most excited to see images of transients like asteroids and gravitational lensing, since the Rubin will be taking images of the same areas twice with a gap of one week. Chuck talks about the citizen science aspect of the Rubin and encourages each of you in our audience to try and discover something on your own. We hear about some of Allen's published papers, including one on using VR for scientific research. The group talks about VR (including Beat Saber) and Jon shares his experience using VR technology to record his senior project at the Harold Ramis Film School at Second City, and the difficulty he had with the audio. For Eleanor, this year's cool cosmic thing was highly personal: her studies in modern physics this year, learning more than ever about what we don't know, like the gap between classical and quantum physics! As she puts it, “the matter-antimatter asymmetry…broke my mind.” She also shares a little inspiration from Cal Sagan's Cosmos. Stacey's cosmically cool thing of the year is relatively current: Comet C/2025 K1 ATLAS, which recently broke into 3 parts. The team compares this with the breakup of all breakups: Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9, which broke up in 1994 on its way to a collision with Jupiter. Jon's joyfully cool cosmic year end thingamabob is about the new science fiction show Pluribus created by Vince Gilligan (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul), and he's got a question for Chuck. How long would it take a signal like the one in Pluribus to travel from a star 600 light years away, like Betelgeuse or Antares? Without dropping any spoilers, the team ponders why an alien race would have reached out to Earth based on what they might have seen around the time of Charlemagne, and whether being subsumed in a hive mind would be good or bad. This is a bittersweet episode, though, because we officially bid farewell to the show's long time editor, Jon Barnes, who is moving on to a gig as a full-time content creator for a meal prep company that will involve lots of Jon cooking and filming himself while he does. Finally, it's time to wrap up the episode with Chuck's Picture of the Year, which is related to the Vera C. Rubin Observatory, but not in a way you might expect. It's a photo of Vera Rubin when she was 10 years old. As Chuck puts it, “Who would have known that 25 years later, she would change our understanding of the cosmos itself?” Happy New Year from The LIUniverse crew! If you'd like to know more about what Jon's up to post-LIUniverse, you can check out his TikTok @iheartjonbarnes. We hope you enjoy this episode of The LIUniverse, and, if you do, please support us on Patreon. On the final episode of 2025, West Virginia Outdoors with Chris Lawrence looks back on a remarkable year across the Mountain State's woods and waters. Chris revisits one of the biggest themes of the year — a surge in new state fishing records — including conversations with anglers who set marks for blue catfish, largemouth bass length, black crappie, redhorse sucker, and redear sunfish. The show also reflects on a memorable story from Cherokee Lake in Tennessee, where a West Virginia angler landed a record-sized striper but chose conservation over certification by releasing the fish. The episode also returns to one of the year's most endearing moments with Brooke Markley, the 2025 West Virginia Trout Festival Queen, whose passion for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors shattered pageant stereotypes. From her elk hunt in Colorado to fishing Franklin's streams, her story became a highlight of the season. The year-end broadcast blends record-book moments, conservation ethics, community traditions, and personal stories that defined West Virginia Outdoors in 2025, closing the year with gratitude for listeners and anticipation for what lies ahead in 2026.

2025 is done. Forty-eight episodes. Hundreds of guests. Endless banter between Rohin and Praveen. This year, Two by Two covered stories from Bengaluru to the world including business, tech, and everything in between. We didn't just stick to the usual. We asked about people, trends, and the things others weren't paying attention to. We brought on guests who didn't rehearse their answers and tried to make sense of things as they happened. Some episodes turned out to be prescient. Some were messy. Some sparked arguments in our inbox. All of them tried to do what we set out to do: spot hidden connections, ask unasked questions, and figure out what's really going on.This final episode is Rohin looking back at six moments from the year with clips from conversations that stood out. Between each one, he adds context and some behind-the-scenes perspective on why it mattered. Here are the episodes featured:Episode 26: Zomato, Swiggy, and the rise of the 10-minute "dark" caféEpisode 31: Airtel fights spammers. And Truecaller's business modelEpisode 47: Who broke Bengaluru, and how do we fix our cities?Episode 50: In an AI age, India does not have an open source strategyEpisode 51: The invisible whale that capsized India's leaky options boatsEpisode 66: What will bring ambition back from the dead?To everyone who listened, argued with us, sent guest suggestions, or just stuck around, thank you. Next year, we're coming back with everything that makes Two by Two what it is, but bigger and better. Maybe even a few surprises. Stay tuned. There won't be an episode next Thursday. We will return on January 8th, 2026.See you in the new year.________This episode was produced by Uddantika Kashyap and mixed and mastered by Rajiv CN, our resident sound engineer. If you liked this episode of Two by Two, please share it with your friends, family and colleagues who would be interested in listening. Send us a textWe continue a long-standing tradition of revisiting the films we discussed the previous year. 2024 was one of the most solid years in film since we started doing this show over 12 years ago. We experienced tense theological discussions, body horror the likes we have not seen before, the dead coming back to life to teach us how we should live, a séance on life television, hardcore tub licking, depressing old eastern European life, action-packed monkey men, and plenty of throwback 80s goth aesthetic with truly likeable characters! We individually attempt to distill all that into a somewhat coherent list of 13 films that we will combine with our Patreon Supporters' lists to make a master list for the show. To find out which film got the coveted top spot on the list, you'll need to tune in! So grab your post-it notes to scrawl a list of films on, dance naked around someone else's house like you owned the place, and strap on for the world's most dangerous year end show!Support us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/trickortreatradioJoin our Discord Community: discord.trickortreatradio.comSend Email/Voicemail: mailto:podcast@trickortreatradio.comVisit our website: http://trickortreatradio.comStart your own podcast: https://www.buzzsprout.com/?referrer_id=386Use our Amazon link: http://amzn.to/2CTdZzKFB Group: http://www.facebook.com/groups/trickortreatradioTwitter: http://twitter.com/TrickTreatRadioFacebook: http://facebook.com/TrickOrTreatRadioYouTube: http://youtube.com/TrickOrTreatRadioInstagram: http://instagram.com/TrickorTreatRadioSupport the show

Join us for our celebratory year-end Michelle Meow Show special. We'll start with a conversation with local photographer/artist Harry Williams, who photographs the people of San Francisco. We'll explore human connections and how community engagement can preserve our dignity and compassion for each other. We'll end our program with a special performance by SNOWW. Then stick around for a fun reception and holiday cheer. About the Speaker Harry Williams says his work "is rooted in capturing the resilience and humanity of marginalized communities, presenting them in a way that commands attention and challenges perceptions." He spent more than a year photographing on the corner of Jones and Ellis Streets in San Francisco's Tenderloin district, a neighborhood known for its abundance of single-occupancy residence (SOR) housing and its association with drugs and crime. "This body of work speaks to more than one community; it reflects a reality familiar to cities and small towns alike, where certain neighborhoods undergo shifts that can displace the people who have long called them home. As these areas change, often becoming less accessible to those who built their lives there, a profound cultural and personal loss occurs. . . . Through these images, I seek to preserve the spirit and stories of these communities, highlighting their strength and significance in ways that demand respect and remembrance. Ultimately, I hope that these monumental images confront viewers with both the beauty and strength of communities often sidelined, making space for empathy, connection, and reflection." SNOWW is a celebrated Chinese artist whose talents span electronic music production, DJing, singing, and songwriting. She is the founder of Fake Gentle and The Hormones bands, as well as the creative force behind the E-Motion label. With her distinctive musical style and a keen ear for melody, SNOWW has emerged as an influential figure in the contemporary electronic music scene. In SNOWW's musical universe, the vast electronic soundscapes resonate like a storm of snow, seamlessly intertwining with her warm and evocative voice. Her work combines elements of Deep House, Chillwave, and classical music, crafting an immersive listening experience that feels both intimate and expansive. Her music takes listeners on a dreamlike journey, reflecting the harmony between the digital and natural worlds. As a devoted advocate for melody, SNOWW infuses her compositions with rich and intricate emotional layers. She brings a unique perspective to electronic and rock music, continually exploring diverse sound elements in her creations. In 2021 and 2022, SNOWW was invited to perform at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival for two consecutive years in its online showcases.
