First of all a singer multi-instrumentist, touring and recording mostly bass throughout Europe (Calypsodelia), Australia (The Babe Rainbow) or Asia (Marie Madeleine). The 90's- For those of us who lived through them, they were a 'decade of decadence' we'll never forget. To others (aka Warren Peace)…they were just a BLUR! In this episode the 'Common People' Warren Peace, DJ Penny Lane and G-Man Graham Lentz return with DEFINITELY (Maybe) the final word on the great Britpop vs. Mod debate- Was Britpop a progression in mod taste that some deem the revival of the 90's or as relevant to the subculture as Metallica to a convention of deaf Morrissey fans? PLUS- as their tour of Japan winds down, we get soulful with the band grinding styluses to sand the world over as the amazing Stone Foundation! ALSO- following last week's appearance at the Brit Awards alongside Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers, Northern Soul dance sensation Levanna Mclean calls the studio to tell us about her big night! PLUS-rockers may have Chris Angel and David Blaine but we've got Ben, the infamous 'Magic Mod' joining us to discuss what he's doing when he's not pulling rabbit's out of pork pie hats and sawing Lambrettas in half! PLUS- Mod blogger 'Parka' Pat Foisy's back with yet another 'Vintage Vinyl from the Vault' - 7" of RARE SOUL you've never heard, don't own and can't find on Youtube…GUARANTEED! As March of the Mods kicks off in the UK, Kate Ross- Kellam gives us a preview into the month long festival of modness to aid Teenage Cancer Trust AND as always, we bring you SOUL, STYLE, and a menagerie of mod ear candy courtesy of The Universal, The Mergers, Rickey Calloway & the Soul Surfers, Welcome Pariah, Paul Sindab, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, a classic reissue from Spoke Records,The Romleys and little known Britpop sensations, HUE! We are the M♂ds!- Voted the #1 Radio show/Podcast in the Mod Generation 'Best of 2013' Poll- Listen and be Suede. (Bad, we know).
