Will God really deliver His people from all their troubles?

Last week you learned about the cost of preaching and protecting the gospel: suffering. This week you will learn about how God’s grace strengthens you to single-mindedly focus on the mission to which you were called. It takes the diligence of a soldier, the dedication of an athlete, and the hard work of a farmer. And though we do not do this perfectly, God is faithful.

Do you or your family enjoy camping? It can feel great to get away from everything that usually holds your focus, to enjoy the beauty of nature, and to enjoy it with people you care about. What's not so great is going camping and realizing you forgot something you needed: a sleeping bag, a flashlight, a lighter, clothing. Those are all important. God hasn't left us under prepared for this journey we are on with Him. He has equipped us with all of the tools we'll need. This week we'll look into 2 Timothy 1 and discover more about the tool of "Holiness".
