Tony Sentmanat @realworld_tactical is a Marine Corps Veteran and a retired Law Enforcement SWAT Operator with over 22 years of real-world experience. He is a lifelong practitioner in Mixed Martial Arts with extensive experience as a Law Enforcement Combative's Trainer and has been a Firearms Instructor for over 20 years. Tony also has 20 years of experience as a functional strength and conditioning trainer specializing in functional fitness for combat athletes and is an elite powerlifter holding multiple state records. Upon finishing his military service he started his law enforcement career as a State Correctional Officer, and then quickly transferred to become a Law Enforcement Officer. Tony spent most of his career in SWAT where he was involved in over 800 real-world operations before retiring. Tony has been one of my favorite instructors for a number of different reasons over the years. I was extremely honored when he agreed to join forces with us at this upcoming Protector symposium 4.0 training event. His mindset I feel really speaks to me as so many elements that I truly hope more human beings can find a way to access because it would make the world a better and safer place. If you can make your mind unbreakable then your body really will be unstoppable and this is something he has consistently said from the beginning. It is also something I genuinely believe and I know that we've both experienced during times and experiences on different battlefields. Not only do I respect his mindset but I also see him as a full spectrum warrior. He's the type of guy that can do you everything from go hand-in-hand straight into a weapon system and maintain a level of lethality above that of most opponents. Beyond all these things he is a fellow practitioner of one of my favorite martial arts which actually amplifies any martial art you choose to practice which is strongerDanU-Fu you. Tony represents the big boys and has the agility, speed, and power to back it up and I truly appreciate how exemplary that is. Not only is Tony's background extremely impressive and extensive but he has been making contributions to warfighters, first responders and professional protectors for over a decade and the fact that he actually has a call of duty character model after him makes it easy for me to call him a living legend. It was such an honor to conduct this interview with Tony and I can't wait to train with him during this upcoming Protector symposium 4.0 on October 1 through the 3rd and we both hope that you'll join us as well. At the event you will be able to learn from Tony plus five other world-class instructors and for more information on that go to https://www.protectorsymposium.com/ Protector by nature and by trade Byron

IFBB pro Branch Warren has been a world-class bodybuilder for so long, it's easy to forget he's still just 42 years old–and still as huge and shredded as ever. "The Texas Rattlesnake" opens up about his history, his favorite game meats, and how he trains today–including his personal "strongman biathlon." Be sure to follow us on social media for daily fitness updates! Highlights: - On his first show at 154 pounds: "My goal was 'not get last place.'" - How he began powerlifting, but kept bodybuilding as his "first love" - "You know, the second bodybuilder I ever saw in my life was Ronnie Coleman." - His introduction to Metroflex and real lifting–at age 17 - "All these big, jacked dudes walking around, and I remember thinking to myself, I just made it to the promised land. This is home." - His unique membership agreement: "If you represent the gym, and you win, you don't gotta buy a membership. If you don't, you're gonna work it off." - The difference between health club lifting and training with the big boys - "I learned early on, you don't ask questions. If they say do 20, you don't ask why. You shut the fuck up and do 20." - "[As a bodybuilder] you're more of a nutritionist than anything else." - How he got started with hunting and eating game meat: "I grew up in west Texas, in the country. And the only two things to do out there was drink beer, and hunt. The two best-looking girls in my school were my cousins, so there wasn't much to do, man." - On game meat: "I think it makes me stronger, tell you the truth." - How he prepares his game meat - How he feels in his 40s, and how he views competition: "I don't want to say I'm retired. I'm just not competing." - How becoming a father changed everything for him - On the burden of eating: "I'll be up 'til one in the morning, sometimes, trying to finish my food. And you take a bite, and you chew it up, and you get some water and swallow, and then you get the next bite. And I just cuss my food." - "Yeah, I got to where I hated food. Because it was always, you're either force-feeding yourself, of you're getting, you're hungry all the time because you're getting ready for competition." - On his training: "I've got nothing to prove. It was fun, but my goal right now, when I'm in the gym, is 'Don't get hurt.'" - Why he loves "functional" and strongman-style training - The challenge of mixing training with shooting - His introduction to strongman-style training from Tony Sentmanat - "I like it because it's something different, and it's a new challenge. After doing what I've done for so long, it's just something new. Plus it's outside, you can do it outside, and it's just a new challenge, something different." - His legacy in bodybuilding, and how he looks back on his accomplishments: "I wish I would have enjoyed it a little bit more, but at the same point, I don't know if I would have accomplished what I did, because I was so focused. No matter what you do, it never was good enough. I never looked in a mirror and was like, wow I look great. I looked in the mirror and pick myself apart." Tony Sentmanat is a Marine Corps Veteran and retired Law Enforcement SWAT Operator with almost 20 years of Real World experience. He is a lifelong practitioner in Mixed Martial Arts with extensive experience as a Law Enforcement Combative Trainer and has been a Firearms Instructor for over 17 years. We start with having Tony share about his background, what he does, and how his business came about. He then shares a bit about his experience with being a cop in Miami. In lieu of that, Doc asks Tony if he’s ever felt out of depth while he was still on the beat. After that, Tony shares further about a what it feels like to be in a shitstorm, and he talks about disassociation. The convo remains interesting as they get into talking about in-depth topics; Doc asks about undercover work, dealing with high stakes situations and with the bad guys. Much later on, Tommy asks Tony about his view on American’s being able to own guns, and Tony responds with how that relates to making sure to be well trained to handle firearms. This was a very interesting episode, and another one of the greats! Tony has plenty of real-world experience, and this has given us a bit of a look at the life of a genuine badass. Over the past couple days, I’ve had the opportunity to meet with some men that I really admire for how they show up in this world and the level of success they’ve been able to reach in their perspective field. I had the chance to meet Cameron Hanes, an Under Armor athlete and avid bow hunter, Tony Sentmanat with Real World Tactical, Neal Curry with Ready Gunner, UFC Fighter, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. These guys are all masters of their craft and I can tell you the one thing that separates them from the rest of the pack – it’s the one thing that separates all successful men from the rest. That is the ability to take action. The ability to execute. The ability and desire even to get their hands dirty. And, I want to come straight out and ask you, are you willing to execute? Are you willing to get your hands dirty? Are you willing to step into the ring? http://www.orderofman.com/FFN040 Please leave us a rating and review at http://www.orderofman.com/itunes
