Many entrepreneurs struggle with knowing when to ask for help. We look to The Little Engine That Could and think-we-can through every aspect of our business—all by ourselves. But what if there’s a better way to interpret that storybook’s advice? What if we had the faith to think-we-could find support when we needed it?   JJ Ramberg is the mission-driven entrepreneur behind Goodshop, an online coupon platform, and Goodpods, a new social network for giving and receiving podcast recommendations from friends and influencers you admire. JJ spent 13 years hosting MSNBC’s Your Business and Been There, Built That, interviewing thousands of entrepreneurs and business leaders on how to grow a company. She is also the bestselling author of It’s Your Business: 183 Essential Tips that Will Transform Your Small Business. On this episode of Wickedly Smart Women, JJ joins Anjel to explain what inspired her to create Goodpods and how she made the decision to launch the platform during the pandemic. She shares her vision of a more compassionate, empathetic world and offers advice on finding meaning in your work in a variety of ways. Listen in for JJ’s insight on identifying what’s yours to do (and what isn’t) and learn to understand your strengths and ask the right advisors for help when you need it! This time I connected to Colorado. There I met JJ Ramberg, award-winning television host, bestselling author, and entrepreneur. After hosting for 13 years a program about entrepreneurship for NBC News Your Business, she now decided to try how does it feel to be behind the scene, co-founding with her brother Ken Goodpods, a peer to peer podcast recommendation app, that seems to become a real game-changer for the podcast industry.—Host: Flavia Marfella  - also on Goodpods now as @flavia - Show: Small Talks (at midnight)Guest: JJ Ramberg (biography below)—How difficult is to find podcast recommendation and how difficult is for the podcaster to be known?Recently I have been asked what is the major challenge as an indipendent podcaster. I had no doubt in answering to that and soon I discovered many other podcasters have the same issue: just letting the people know that you even exist. In particular to the ones that already  are familiar to podcast, not necessarily are interested to find recommendations on other social media. So far I found twitter quite useful for that scope, but still very dispersive. It was actually on Twitter where I got in contact with Goodpods for the first time. The things that I love the most, beside the user friendliness and a lovely graphic, is that you can find single episode according to your mood and interests. As a podcaster you can engage with the listeners, things to me impossible at the moment with the current platform.Even harder if you want to get the word out about one episodes, since I touch every time a different topic.Several top influencers including Dan Harris, Rachel Hollis, Gwynet Paltrow, Kim Kardashian, and brands like The Today Show and Entertainment Weekly have signed up -- giving smaller podcasters an opportunity to tap into a huge pool of listeners. If you are a podcast lover, I think you should just try, soon available on Android. If you are a podcaster and your show is on Apple Podcasts, it will automatically be in Goodpods and you have just to do few steps to connect with your profile.I was so lucky to be one of the first in Europe, so I could choose a simpler username, instead of the classical name22345.So,  follow my account @flavia e subscribe to my show Small Talks (at midnight), comment on episodes, and share your episodes on your profile! Looking forward to meeting you there!Guest: JJ RambergHost for 13 years of ‘Your business' on NBC news, dedicated to providing a forum for issues affecting the owners of small and growing businesses. She hosted also the series Follow the Food for the BBC World News, an eight-part documentary series that questions where our food comes from and how will this change in the near future, thanks to new technologies and innovative ways of farming.Author of the best-selling book It's Your Business – 183 Essential Tips that Will Transform Your Small Business and The Startup Club, a fun fiction book tailored to young entrepreneurs.JJ refers to the children book 'The Little Engine That Could.Clubhouse: @flavia.marfellaFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/smalltalksatmidnight/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/small_talks_at_midnight/Goodpods app - social media for podcast lovers: @flaviaE-mail: midnightsmalltalks@gmail.com

Biblical Entrepreneurship "When the ground soaks up the falling rain and bears a good crop for the farmer, it has God’s blessing. But if a field bears thorns and thistles, it is useless. The farmer will soon condemn that field and burn it." ~ Hebrews 6:7-8 Key Takeaways It's a great ideas to have a Financial Adviser when first starting off. When you are forced to make something work, you tend to become more creative. Don't make assumptions about your community. Get to know your community and how it works.  Make sure that you are constantly giving back to your community; thanking them for supporting you. Sometimes we have a scarcity mindset instead of an abundance mindset. Different is scary, but different can be a good thing. Never get too attached to your own ideas.
