I found Pat & Real Talk on Tiktok. Patrick made some funny but relatable bass player content and I knew I had to talk to him. I'm glad I did. I had a great talk with Patrick about everything from punk, to the vaccine, to his love for Billie Kay (Ex-WWE).

When I first heard Space Force by stop.drop.rewind I knew Kris was someone I wanted to talk to. It was like progressive pop-punk? and I was hooked. Talking to Kris was everything I could imagine, a really funny music nerd, I had so much fun talking to Kris that this went over an hour!

There are tons of musicians. There aren't nearly as many touring musicians. Tyler is a touring musician. From playing bass, to guitar, to drumming, he's done it all for music. I talked to Tyler about the DIY scene, his intro to music and promotion, and even find out he booked a show for a tour I went on!

I am always looking for bassist on social media. Callen liked a video of a cover on my Instagram so I went and checked out his page. I was so blown away watching him play. You can see the love and happiness he exudes while playing, you can also hear that as he talks about his musical journey. Enjoy!

I've been a fan of the Slackers for years now. I've had the honor of opening for them a few times. Marcus' style is undeniable. He's always in the pockets and plays only the notes he needs to. Meeting Jake was awesome They were super friendly and full of great stories! Jake plays bass for Grey Matter and runs the twitter account @SkaOrNah where they ask celebrities if they enjoy ska (or nah)! We had a blast talking about people who like ska and about Jake's bass journey.

Facebook and instagram like to suggest bass videos to me. One day while browsing, Atticus came up. I heard the "Dingwall Tone" and thought of Periphery, I saw the hybrid picking and thought of Polyphia. I had to talk to this dude! I'm glad I did. Atticus is a young, fresh bass player, and with this much talent I'm stoked to see where he goes!

I spoke with Sarah Rocha about her non-profit organization, Musician Alliance of San Antonio (MASA) and how she got started playing bass. San Antonio is full of great musicians, and it's people like Sarah who want to make sure that they're being taken care of by the city for their countless hours of entertainment. I spoke to Sarah about her Jazz Nights at The Dakota, and her projects Radio Tierra & Bexar Brass!

When I was scrolling through facebook, I came across Dylan's bass cover videos. You could see the energy and passion for playing immediately. I knew I had to talk to him. This is our first time talking, we learn about Dylan's love for the rhythm section, his love for Leo Fender, his drive & determination to be the best bassist he can be, and so much more!
