We're still a little more than two months away from the start of the 2025 college football season, but we've hit the part of the offseason where folks are feeling a bit celebratory. For Oregon, that means it's Hall of Fame season. Nationally, former Oregon running back Jonathan Stewart has been selected to be on the 2025 National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame ballot. Locally, Oregon has released its own list of honorees, with Marcus Mariota and Hroniss Grasu leading the class of athletes to be inducted into the Oregon Hall of Fame this fall. And while in this week's episode of The I-5 Corridor's Traffic Report, Tyson wants to focus in on which players from the last 10 years have a shot to be enshrined as an Oregon immortal, Justin wanted to focus on a coach. Mark Helfrich, to be specific. Oh yeah, it's a take. And you'll have to listen to the episode to find out just how well it's supported. Plus: Oregon vs. the Heat Wave, the Beavers are heading to Omaha and the concern level for Oregon's WRs post-Evan Stewart injury. Welcome to another episode of The Round Table! This week, Daniel, Preena, and Viola sit down with C. Evan Stewart, author of The Worst Supreme Court Decisions Ever! and a professor at Cornell University. Stewart delves into America's legal history, examining cases like Dred Scott v. Sanford and the importance of addressing the uncomfortable truths of the legal system. Stewart discusses the role of lawyers, explaining that their job is to represent clients rather than determine guilt or innocence, which is the responsibility of the jury and judge. He underscores how this distinction is vital to maintaining fairness and integrity in the legal system, even when cases involve contentious or morally complex issues. As a professor, Stewart highlights the need to teach history in its entirety, including its darker moments. He emphasizes that avoiding uncomfortable truths risks creating a distorted view of history, which hinders society's ability to learn from past mistakes. Stewart also stresses the significance of civic engagement, encouraging people to get involved in local elections and explore a variety of sources to understand history and legal cases. Informed voting and critical thinking, he argues, are crucial for shaping a more equitable and effective legal system. Despite its flaws, there's optimism about America's legal system and its potential for positive change. The system's resilience, he believes, comes from its ability to evolve through democratic processes and active participation from citizens.
Oregon Ducks legend Jonathan Stewart and USA Today's Zachary Neel break down the transfer additions of Makhi Hughes and Malik Benson, plus the return of Evan Stewart and the departure of Jordan James. The two also go through their end-of-season awards for the 2024 season.

Does Oregon have perhaps maybe the best wideout room in America with the likes of Tez Johnson, Gary Bryant Jr. and Evan Stewart? Is tight end Terrance Ferguson the next great Big Ten tight end? Does bringing back 3 of 5 on the offensive line mean the Ducks should be sound up front? How will the Defense look under Tosh Lupoi in 2024? Is Jordan Burch going to be all Big Ten on the defensive line? Will the linebacking core be rock solid with Jestin Jacobs, Jeffrey Bassa and Mateo Uiagalelei? Did the Oregon Ducks win the transfer portal when they landed Kobe Savage, Jabbar Muhammed and Peyton Woodyard? Join Jared Palmgren and his guest Chris Kay (@Realestchriskay) in Episode 161 of CFF Analysis as they dive into the early average draft position (ADP) analysis for CFF 2024. They discuss ADP trends developed from CFF mock drafts and best balls during the first two months of the off-season, highlighting players they believe are either undervalued or overvalued in drafts.[0:07:22] - The two discuss overall trends noticed in drafts, including the gap between the elite QB options and navigating heavy RB and WR starts.[0:17:51] - Cameron Ward, transfer quarterback to Miami, FL, is discussed as going too high. They debate whether the Hurricanes provide the necessary circumstances for Ward to continue his CFF relevance and earn back his QB18 ADP. [0:24:30] - They think Noah Fifita, quarterback out of Arizona, is going too high due to his lack of rushing production and current top 10 QB status in ADP. [0:29:02] - Donovan Edwards, current ADP RB14, is discussed regarding his ability to fill the void left behind by Blake Corum. [0:34:29] - Peny Boone, RB transfer to Louisville, is analyzed with concerns raised about his performance translating to Power 4 competition and competition at the position in-school. [0:39:40] - Emeka Egbuka at Ohio State, current WR4, is debated in terms of Ryan Day's tendency to sit stars if not fully healthy and Egbuka's comparison to other receivers in drafts. [0:46:38] - Evan Stewart's first round ADP is discussed as too risky for a transfer player, despite his talent and Oregon's recent WR success. [0:54:33] - Kyron Drones, QB at Virginia Tech with a QB26 ADP, is highlighted for his returning cast and offensive coordinator's utilization of Drones' legs, though Jared argues his value in drafts is appropriate. [1:01:48] - Miller Moss, QB at USC, is discussed for his potential under Lincoln Riley's coaching and the value of getting a Lincoln Riley QB in the 10th round. [1:08:06] - Braylon McReynolds, RB at South Alabama with an ADP of RB99, is seen as a better value than Kentrel Bullock, while Jared is skeptical of his potential role. [1:13:55] - Kaden Feagin, RB at Illinois, is highlighted for his potential to become a workhorse back in one of the best rushing offenses in the country. [1:19:09] - Germie Bernard, transfer WR to Alabama who followed Kalen Deboer from Washington, is discussed in light of Deboer's ability to build offenses and his history of producing CFF WRs. [1:23:46] - Kyren Lacy, WR at LSU, is highlighted as a favorite value at WR over CJ Daniels, with Jared emphasizing Lacy's experience over Daniels. Oregon would have been in a 12-team playoff had it been in place in 2023, a year in which they went 11-1 in the regular season. Expectations are high as the Ducks look to make the expanded playoff in the Big 10. Oklahoma transfer QB Dillon Gabriel will command an offense with one of the best WR tandems in the country with Evan Stewart joining Tez Johnson on the perimeter. What will the expanded playoff mean for the Ducks and how will the 5+7 format end up impacting the hunt for postseason football next year across the country?
