Light Up Your Darkness | The Gospel of John | John 1:4–5“In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:4–5Darkness doesn't disappear by accident — it is driven out by light. In this message from our series The Gospel of John, we explore the powerful truth found in John 1:4–5: Jesus is the Light of Life. His light doesn't avoid darkness… it confronts it, exposes it, and overcomes it.One of the most challenging parts of following Christ is becoming aware of the darkness within our own hearts — the hidden struggles, the unaddressed sin, the fear, the pride, the wounds we try to manage on our own. But the good news of the Gospel is this: Jesus doesn't shame us in our darkness — He shines into it.If this message encourages you, make sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs the light of Christ today.#GospelOfJohn #LightInTheDarkness #John1 #jesusthelight This week's message is from our Lead Pastor, John Letterman.Let's Connect: http://bit.ly/3XbRE9TFree Access To RightNow Media:https://app.rightnowmedia.org/join/rccreadingSocial Media:@riverviewchristian on Facebook and InstagramWebsite:riverviewchristian.churchSupport the show

Welcome to your daily comedy podcast, where absolutely nothing makes sense and we like it that way.Today's show kicks off with a story that nobody asked for but everyone will remember forever: a 73-year-old former born-again Christian reinventing herself as an escort named Busty Granny. She spent decades in prayer and celibacy, then hit 57, downloaded the internet, and said “oh… THIS is what we've been missing.” Now she's got clients young enough to still have homework and zero interest in OnlyFans because, quote, that sounds boring. Inspirational? Traumatizing? Both. Then we get into the most depressing career math of all time: a woman casually sings seven words into her phone for a Dr Pepper jingle and walks away with $2 million, while the rest of us are out here working full-time jobs and eating gas-station sandwiches. Naturally, this leads to the crew trying to invent jingles for every brand that will absolutely never call back.Somehow that spirals into one of the most fun debates we've had in a while — the biggest debut albums of all time. We're talking massive numbers, MTV miracles, and how one 4am spin turned a “failed” album into a 50-million-copy monster. Along the way we argue, forget basic facts, remember them loudly, and realize radio used to be way more powerful than TikTok will ever admit.Movies get dragged (respectfully… mostly), Brendan Fraser gets the comeback love he deserves, and we debate whether seeing a movie in a theater automatically adds two letter grades just because popcorn exists.Woody returns to the Bud Light Studio and suddenly it's 2013 again — except now everyone's older, colder, and way more into arguing about shoes. This episode of The Rizzuto Show is a full-blown comedy podcast reunion that spirals immediately into chaos, as Rizz and Woody pick up exactly where they left off… which is apparently roasting California people for being weak in the cold, questioning why scarves exist, and debating whether New Balance, Hokas, or Nikes are officially “dad shoes” this week.In Crap on Celebrities, we hit everything from band lawsuits and surprise documentaries to tour dropouts, concert ticket chaos, and some genuinely heartbreaking but honest conversations about aging, memory, and how terrifying it is to not know what's happening inside your own brain. We also celebrate birthdays, overshare existential dread, and somehow end the show discussing a literal geyser of poop water blasting into the Potomac River — because if we're going to spiral, we're doing it together.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshowConnect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MODaily Show Notes: City of Dellwood deploys snow plows to assist with Riverview's covered roadsCommercial trucks blamed for quickly depleting St. Louis free salt supply‘Chimp Crazy' star Tonia Haddix appeals her nearly 4-year sentence in Tonka caseThe states growing – and shrinking – the fastest, according to Census estimates73-year-old grandmother who practiced 40 years of celibacy opens up on life as an escortSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

On this episode of The Rizzuto Show, the chaos begins at home when Rizzuto learns the hard way that “I got this” is not a substitute for training, tools, or common sense. What starts as a slightly off-track garage door quickly turns into a full-blown mechanical disaster involving bent pliers, fallen rollers, and the inevitable call to a professional who definitely judged him. From there, the confessions pour in — abandoned self-improvement goals, a dusty notebook labeled “Chapter One,” a sourdough starter that refuses to die, and financial decisions that now live in the “we don't talk about that” category. The show then zooms out to the larger failures we all share, including the soul-crushing realities of adulthood, homeownership surprises, third-shift vampire lifestyles, bad leadership, and raises so small they may as well be spread with a butter knife. Somewhere in the middle of all this, nostalgia sneaks in and emotionally uppercuts everyone as Rizzuto admits to crying in his underwear while watching old commercials that hit harder than therapy ever could. As if that weren't enough, the crew pivots into full pop culture chaos — childhood “investments” like trading cards collapsing in real time, satanic-looking concerts allegedly cursing sports teams, and HBO continuing its aggressive commitment to realism in the weirdest ways possible. Celebrity news, questionable marketing decisions, unnecessary nudity debates, and modern entertainment absurdities all get their moment in the spotlight. Then, just when you think things can't get more unhinged, trivia enters the chat. Matchup returns, and with it comes misplaced confidence, wildly incorrect answers, zodiac signs being publicly humiliated, Marco Polo logic that makes sense to no one, and historical facts taking repeated direct hits. Nobody truly wins, but everyone loses with confidence — which somehow feels very on brand. This is The Rizzuto Show at its best: funny, self-aware, slightly concerned for humanity, and completely comfortable being wrong as long as it's entertaining. If you've ever been confident, nostalgic, cursed, or loudly incorrect — welcome home.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshowConnect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MOResearch City:‘Did you forget about us?': Riverview streets still covered after weekend snowNIGHT & DAY Night shift workers see just 29 minutes of daylight on a working day, new study findsWhy you'll get a ‘peanut butter raise' this year: What it means and how much to expect?Hasbro is being sued by its own shareholders for printing so many damn Magic cards, 'destroying the long-term value of the brand'Ghost Accused Of ‘Super Satanic' Curse After NBA Loss, Because Of Course They WereSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Rizzuto fails the hard way that confidence is not the same thing as competence. In this episode of The Rizzuto Show, a slightly off-track garage door becomes a full-on life lesson when a “simple fix” turns into a catastrophic collapse involving bent pliers, fallen rollers, and one very humbling phone call to the professionals. What follows is a brutally honest (and hilarious) breakdown of everything that should not be done by normal humans without training — garage doors, electricity, plumbing, and apparently adulthood itself. From there, the show spirals beautifully into the Personal Failure Folder, where Rizzuto confesses to abandoned Duolingo dreams, a dusty notebook labeled “Chapter One,” a sourdough starter that survived since 2020, and crypto money that may as well be buried treasure. The crew dives into the real cost of homeownership, the soul-sucking realities of third-shift work, and the vampire lifestyle of never seeing daylight. They talk about snowed-in neighborhoods, leadership disasters, peanut butter raises at work, and why companies spread money like a sad layer of Skippy across too much bread.Somehow, this funny podcast also finds time to explore nostalgia-induced emotional breakdowns as Rizzuto admits to crying in his underwear while watching 1980s commercials on YouTube. Big Red gum, Zest soap, and Doublemint jingles unlock memories that hit harder than any self-help book ever could. It's a classic Rizz Show episode — equal parts self-roast, therapy session, social commentary, and warning label. Power of the Word | The Gospel of John (Week 1)In this opening message of our new series through The Gospel of John, we begin where Scripture begins: “In the beginning was the Word.”John 1:1–3 introduces us to Jesus as the Logos—the eternal Word of God through whom everything was created and by whom everything is sustained. From Genesis to the Psalms, Hebrews, and Isaiah, Scripture reveals a God who speaks and brings life out of nothing—forming galaxies, naming stars, ordering creation, and holding it all together by His Word. The same Word who created the universe is the Word who steps into our brokenness to restore, redeem, and recreate. If God spoke light into darkness, order into chaos, and life into nothingness—do we really believe He can't heal what's broken in us?Can't breathe life into what sin has crushed? Can't recreate what He originally called us to be and do?This message is an invitation to trust the power of the Word—not just to create the world, but to transform your life.

It is about the breath of God.Just as dry bones came to life when God's Spirit breathed into them, the Church is empowered not by what we can do—but by what God chooses to breathe into us.

A Black patient is raising serious concerns about his recent hospitalization at Hackensack Meridian Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey, alleging that he experienced inadequate care, premature discharge, poor communication, and treatment that left him feeling marginalized and medically unsafe. The patient, admitted after collapsing on a tennis court, reports that in six days of hospitalization, he was never examined by a physician. Instead, he interacted solely with nurses and physician assistants. During this period, he says he continued to suffer the same symptoms—dizziness, fainting episodes, chest heaviness, and weakness—that initially led to his emergency admission.According to his account, diagnostic tests were performed without explanation, and results were either withheld or presented with incomplete or conflicting narratives. He states that medical staff attempted to discharge him despite persistent symptoms and without providing a follow-up discussion regarding an echocardiogram that revealed a bicuspid aortic valve—a congenital defect that can affect blood flow.He also reports that his dietary restrictions were ignored, with meals containing red meat and cheese despite repeated requests. One of the most troubling events he describes occurred during an attempted discharge: hospital staff reportedly instructed him to walk off the unit despite ongoing dizziness. While waiting at the pharmacy, he collapsed and had to be readmitted. He alleges that a nurse immediately went into “defensive mode” rather than assessing his condition, and that the emergency department doctor's system review revealed that he was still listed as an admitted patient, raising questions about the legitimacy of the initial discharge. The patient further states that a psychiatrist was sent to his room, though he had reported no psychiatric symptoms. He interprets this as part of a broader pattern in which Black patients' physical complaints are reframed as psychological, leading to delays in proper medical evaluation. On the day of his final discharge, an occupational therapist conducted orthostatic testing—a check for blood pressure changes with movement—and found significant fluctuations, along with visible unsteadiness in his gait. The therapist reportedly advised that he should not be discharged and recommended additional medical evaluation, including a head CT. However, the patient says no physician ever followed up, and the discharge proceeded despite these findings. When he requested to speak with hospital leadership about his concerns, he was met with a nurse manager and a nurse practitioner—neither of whom, he reports, addressed the outstanding medical issues or explained the decisions surrounding his care. The patient ultimately left the hospital still dizzy and weak, stating he did not feel he had received adequate care or clear medical guidance. His experience raises pressing questions about medical equity, communication, discharge protocols, and the treatment of Black and Brown patients in clinical settings.Hackensack Meridian Health at Riverview has not provided comment on these allegations. But we did speak with a Representative from Patient Experience about the issues and the Experience, we recorded the conversation and it's available on The Neoliberal Round Podcast season 15 Episode 1.Submitted by Rev. If the Mind, Body, and Soul shape how we think, live, and feel, then our Spirit is where we commune with God Himself. And Scripture is clear: we are called to walk in step with the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:25).The Holy Spirit doesn't fill us simply to make us feel something—He fills us to transform us and empower us to bring hope, freedom, and healing to the world around us (Isaiah 61:1).If you've ever wondered how to partner with God, hear His voice, or grow closer to Him—this sermon will guide you into a deeper, more intimate walk with the Holy Spirit.Series: Becoming WHOLEWeek 1 — The Mind: https://youtu.be/qglba8K_gR8Week 2 — The Body: https://youtu.be/8tZcrMnRp68Week 3 — The Soul: https://youtu.be/fLwTLJV_cFEWeek 4 — The Spirit (Walking in Step With the Spirit)If this message encourages you, be sure to subscribe, share, and let us know how we can be praying for you.#BecomingWHOLE #RiverviewChristian #WorshipWithYourBody #WholeLifeWorship #Jesus #ChristianLiving #SpiritualFormation #FaithAndHealthThis week's message is from our Creative Pastor, J.C. B.C.'s Real Estate Shake-Up: Land Claims, Insolvencies & Declining Housing Starts

Canada's housing market is being pulled in more directions than ever. Court cases, collapsing construction, political battles, and rising costs are all converging at once — and the result is a level of uncertainty we haven't seen in years. This week, we're breaking down what's making headlines, what's just noise, and what could materially reshape housing across B.C.We start in Port Coquitlam, where a decade-long Kwikwetlem land claim has resurfaced, putting major institutional sites from the Riverview lands to Gates Park, back into the legal spotlight. The case is currently paused while provincial negotiations take place, but after the recent Richmond ruling and new cases in Kamloops and Sun Peaks, municipalities are bracing for more challenges. With 95% of B.C. land unceded, these decisions could set the tone for years of litigation.Cross-border tensions are rising too. Several Alaska tribal nations have now petitioned the B.C. Supreme Court, arguing they should have a legal voice in Canadian resource projects including the Red Chris Mine, a federally fast-tracked, nation-building development. Their claim builds on the 2021 Desautel ruling, which recognized U.S.-based tribes as Aboriginal peoples of Canada. If the courts agree again, the implications for Canadian sovereignty, consultation rights, and investor confidence could be enormous.Meanwhile, housing supply is weakening. Starts are falling across B.C., with multi-family projects in larger centres down sharply. Calgary is considering reversing its citywide rezoning, Burnaby has scaled back Bill 44, and pre-sale markets continue to collapse — all of which point to even lower starts ahead. But there is one major outlier: the Heather Lands proposal has returned with towers as tall as 46 storeys, driven by a massive attainable-housing initiative involving the Province and the MST Partnership. If approved, 85% of the 4,200 homes on site would be below-market — a scale almost unprecedented in Vancouver.Demographics are shifting too. The median homebuyer age is rising rapidly, especially in the U.S., where it has surged to 59. Wealthier, older buyers are dominating the market, while first-time buyers shrink to record lows. Canada hasn't seen the same extreme jump yet, but affordability constraints suggest we're heading in that direction. On the financial side, the fallout from “Condo Day” continues as the Belvedere project in Surrey enters creditor protection, revealing just how fragile pre-sale economics have become. Nationally, CREA reports modest price increases and slightly higher sales, but Ontario's downturn continues to drag the national average lower. And finally, inflation cooled to 2.2%, but not for the reasons that matter most to homebuyers. Gas prices did the heavy lifting, while shelter costs — rent, insurance, and mortgage interest — continue pushing inflation higher. Core measures remain sticky, meaning cheaper mortgages aren't coming anytime soon.Policies, courts, construction, demographics, and financing are all colliding at once. Understanding which forces are temporary and which are structural has never been more important. This week, we break it all down — and what it means for your next move in B.C.'s housing market. _________________________________ Contact Us To Book Your Private Consultation:

Not only do they increase the bio-availability of all types of nutrition, but they also help carry minerals from one area of the soil- where the mineral may be rich- to another part of the soil- where the mineral may be lacking.
