In the twenty-sixth episode of Making Mt. Rushmore, panelists Jonnie Sea, Ashley Cruse & Scott Criscuolo join moderator Steve Riddle to discuss which Bond Girls deserve a place on their respective lists. Is Honey Rider a no-brainer? What about Xenia Onatopp? Does Tracy Bond grab a spot? Does Vesper Lynd or Pussy Galore deserve a place? After that, they discuss which James Bond Films will be part of that grouping. Can you argue that Goldfinger shouldn't get a spot? Will the On Her Majesty's Secret Service be included? Is Casino Royale in the conversation? What about Skyfall & For Your Eyes Only?

One of the most entertaining gutters you're going to hear returns to avenge an earlier loss. Ray Stakenas (@AlmightyRay) from the "Who Would Win" show, explains why Highlander is 80s dreck and can't fathom why people have such an affinity for a boring, vanilla hero. James Bond is a very sporting gentleman. From swimming to shooting to skiing and horse back riding, he's done a lot. But one particular sport Bond has played, he has not been shown playing on screen since the Connery era. Stuff. Enjoy Stuff. Join Jay and Shua as they look back on the long, action-packed history of your favorite British secret agent, James Bond. You'll be in double-o heaven as we Enjoy Stuff! What's a Bond movie that you can Enjoy? We like “Dr. No Time to Live and Let Die Another Daylights” Whether you're into the fifties, manly-standard Connery fan, or prefer the gritty realism of Craig, there's something for many tastes in the Bond universe. Jay and Shua remain shaken, but not stirred on Enjoy Stuff News -The World of Jeff Goldblum returns to Disney+ for a second season next week. -A copy of Dragon Magazine has recently been uncovered showing D&D stats for cartoon characters. What we're Enjoying Jay thought the new Denis Villaneuve film Dune is a great interpretation of the book, and a visually stunning movie. Have you seen it? What did you think? Shua has been obsessed with old Monkees TV episodes on YouTube. They're always good for a laugh. Enjoy Movies The first James Bond movie came out in 1962. While it certainly wasn't the first time Bond had come to life, it inserted the character into the mainstream for everyone to experience. Sean Connery's Bond in Dr. No began some of the classic Bond expectations, and then built on in the next few movies. We saw gadgets, his Astin Martin, and of course his favorite drink, a martini, shaken, not stirred (because we're not cavemen!). After a few movies Sir Sean was getting a little bored of the part and was replaced with George Lazenby, everyone's favorite Bond. ….Just kidding. It was definitely a departure that wasn't as well received, so Connery returned for Diamonds are Forever. But he was really, really finished after that. He would NEVER, absolutely NEVER play Bond again. (At least that's what we say) Roger Moore became the Bond a lot of people grew up with and he made it his own. He made more Bond movies than any other actors, still to this day. Of course, Connery would return one more time in 1983, in the Never Say Never Again, the same year Moore's Octopussy came out. But both of them were favoring prune juice to martinis by then, and Timothy Dalton took over for a couple films. At the time, some didn't care for his portrayal, but they have grown a following over time. But eventually, a fan-favorite choice named Pierce Brosnan took over for four films. While the films may have lacked a few things people expected from Bond, he definitely made his mark until a Bond for the 21st century took over. Daniel Craig rebooted the whole universe with Casino Royale in 2006. His grittier, more realistic Bond really connected with a lot of fans and he ended up with 5 films, all closely connected up to this year's release of No Time to Die. Are you a fan of 007? Who could take over in the future? Could it be someone that is different than what we've seen before? Talk to us in the Discord channel or send us an email to email@example.com

The first episode in a new bonus series I'm going to be doing is I, along with a new guest each episode, will break down the Fleming Novel against the film counterpart. We will see which one is better, which one stands the test of time, and in the end we will decide if the film makers get enough credit for how they took Fleming's work and improved upon it, or strayed from it and made it worse. This series is for the Bond diehards but rewarding if you're one of the ones with the sickness of Bond. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/donald-waldron/support

Welcome to Reel Britannia-a very British podcast about very British movies ...with just a hint of professionalism. This week, Scott and Steven and Tony continue their tribute to the legendary Sean Connery with, of course, a Bond film. Join us we chat about painted ladies, pernicious headwear and Pussy Galore in Goldfinger (1964) James Bond (Sir Sean Connery) is back and his next mission takes him to Fort Knox, where Auric Goldfinger (Gert Fröbe) and his henchman are planning to raid Fort Knox and obliterate the world economy. To save the world once again, Bond will need to become friends with Goldfinger, dodge killer hats, and avoid Goldfinger's personal pilot, the sexy Pussy Galore (Honor Blackman). She might not have feelings for Bond, but will 007 help her change her mind? “My dear girl, there are some things that just aren't done, such as drinking Dom Perignon '53 above the temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Hello everyone and welcome to Some Like It Scott's latest Countdown miniseries: the 007 Countdown. This time, in honor of the upcoming release of the 25th film in the franchise, NO TIME TO DIE, Scott, Scott, and Jay will be revisiting an abridged selection of 007 films to see how James Bond has evolved across decades, storylines, directors, and actors. Starting with the legendary performances of Sean Connery in FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE and GOLDFINGER and ending with the full retinue of Daniel Craig's performances across the last decade and a half, the countdown crew will give their thoughts on 10 different Bond films. Join us each week as we dissect a different Bond film! On the penultimate tenth episode of the countdown, Scott, Scott, and Jay revisit Craig's 4th, Sam Mendes's 2nd behind the camera, and the most recent of the Bond movies in SPECTRE. SPECTRE opens with Bond on a "vacation" in Mexico City during the city's infamous Day of the Dead festival and parade. All too quickly it becomes clear that Bond is not really on vacation though, as he stalks a mysterious target, Marco Sciarra (Alessandro Cremona) to a rendezvous with other locals and attempts to assassinate him. Though he fails in his first attempt, the ensuing foot chase does ultimately end in success for 007, only for him to return to England and be placed on administrative leave by Ralph Fiennes's new M, under scrutiny from government oversight committees, specifically Max Denbigh or "C" (Andrew Scott), the head of MI5, who are trying to shut down the 00-program. Why did Bond risk so much in Mexico City you might ask? Because Judi Dench's belated M left him a message from beyond the grave: assassinate Sciarra and "don't miss the funeral". Of course, Bond does not follow M's instructions and instead heads to Rome for Sciarra's funeral, where the web of shady businessmen, spies, and terrorists that have dogged his past finally begins to unravel. As always, the countdown crew give their thoughts on all of it, including whether Sam Mendes is able to equal his first outing, whether Daniel Craig has overstayed his welcome as Bond, and whether the 007 franchise has simply run out of ideas.
A new James Bond movie is right around the corner, but the problem is I haven't seen any of the previous movies. It's time to rectify that! Jerry Francois always had a sense he could run fast but the schools he attended growing up in Brooklyn didn't have access to a track nor the funding for a cross country team. By the time Jerry entered High School, he started to get in trouble. In his junior year, Jerry lost his mother and struggled to cope with the loss; realizing he needed something to ground him, he turned to running in his senior year and attended his first track meet at the Armory in Manhattan. Running made Jerry feel normal again. Fast forward to 2016 when Jerry and a few friends were invited to a track meet. When asked for a team name, Jerry made up a name on the spot, drawing inspiration from his streetwear brand, GoldFinger. The team won their heat and the GoldFinger Track Club was born. Together with Co-Captains Gemma Kitchen and Thomas Laurado, Jerry shares the journey of GoldFinger Track Club and the work they are doing to bring change to the community. In 2020, GoldFinger Track Club started organizing solidarity runs for the Black Live Matter movement, which included hashtags like Black Miles Matter and the now popular BLK Mile. GoldFinger Track Club's activism and support of Black owned small businesses is well documented and their approach to introducing running and a sense of community to athletes of all walks of life is truly driving change through the sport. Join us each week as we dissect a different Bond film! On the ninth episode of the countdown, Scott, Scott, and Jay take a trip back to Bond's roots, in Daniel Craig's third outing as the famed secret agent in SKYFALL. SKYFALL picks up some time after the events of QUANTUM OF SOLACE, and finds Bond once again on a mission, this time in Istanbul to stop a mercenary who has stolen an MI6 hard drive with the names of all active British intelligence agents undercover around the globe. Bond's pursuit of the mercenary through the Turkish city culminates with a fistfight on top of a moving train that leaves 007 in free fall thanks to an errant bullet from fellow field operative, Eve (Naomie Harris), and the hard drive in the wrong hands. With Bond nowhere to be found, M (Judi Dench, one last time) and MI6 must pick up the pieces of the disastrous op, facing blowback at home from government oversight committees, and abroad when a shadowy figure taunts M for her sins, detonating a bomb at MI6 while she's not there, and threatens to decode the hard drive and start releasing the identities of undercover agents. As news of the terrorist attack reaches the far-flung shores where Bond has sought refuse since being shot in Istanbul, 007 decides to report for duty and is sent all the way to China to follow leads for the mysterious figure threatening fellow British agents. As always, the countdown crew give their thoughts on all of it, including whether SKYFALL has the ultimate Bond girl, whether the persistent theme of failure throughout the Craig Bond films continues to hold interest, and whether Sam Mendes's particularly style and flare translates well to the 007 franchise.

Join us each week as we dissect a different Bond film! On the eighth episode of the countdown, Scott, Scott, and Jay pick up right where the previous episode left off, with the direct sequel to Daniel Craig's first outing, QUANTUM OF SOLACE. QUANTUM OF SOLACE barely misses a beat in picking the story back up, as Craig's Bond is racing the famous Aston Martin down a mountain road after kidnapping Mr. White at the end of CASINO ROYALE. Ultimately managing to outrun and outsmart his pursuers, he returns to the MI6 Siena, Italy safehouse. During interrogation, however, it is revealed that White's organization, the mysterious group known only as Quantum, has tendrils stretching all the way into MI6 itself. M's personal bodyguard turns double-agent, makes an attempt on Bond's and M's lives, and then attempts to escape, only for Bond to pursue on-foot. During the pursuit, White also escapes, and that sets events in motion for Bond to once again trot across the globe to learn more about Quantum and to find those he deems responsible for Vesper's death. The countdown crew give their thoughts on all of it, including whether QUANTUM OF SOLACE lives up to the extremely high bar set by CASINO ROYALE, whether the raw emotion of Craig's debut is carried through to his sophomore outing, and whether the performances of Craig, Judi Dench, and all the newcomers impress.
On the seventh episode of the countdown, Scott, Scott, and Jay revisit the first entry in the latest version of Bond: the Daniel Craig-starrer, CASINO ROYALE. Directed by Martin Campbell, CASINO ROYALE serves not only as a starting point for Craig's new version of Bond, but also as a soft reboot for the franchise as a whole. The outset of the film shows how Bond achieved his 00-status, and two kills later, the journey fast-forwards to Madagascar for an epic chase scene where Bond is tracking a bomb-maker connected to a terrorist cell plotting an attack on a yet-to-be-determined location. Bond follows a lead to the Bahamas, where he encounters a corrupt Greek official, Alex Dimitrios (Simon Abkarian), whom he believes is the key to discovering the planned terrorist attack. Bond's adventures continue from there and ultimately involve evolved Bond girl Vesper Lynd (Eva Green) and terrorist financier Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen) with ties to a wider criminal organization. The countdown crew give their thoughts on all of it, including Craig's new "modern" version of Bond, the progress in the Bond girl department, and whether this different approach to a Bond spy film works.
