Quebrada Soundsystem nació en Valparaíso con la idea de llevar la experiencia del reggae y el dub al formato original de los sound systems jamaiquinos. Desde sus inicios, se han consolidado como un proyecto independiente que levanta torres de parlantes artesanales para que la vibración del bajo se sienta en el cuerpo y el espíritu. En conversación con Ritoque FM, CHOPO, representante del colectivo compartió parte de su historia, marcada por la autogestión, la pasión por la música y una serie de encuentros que han transformado la ciudad puerto en un punto neurálgico para esta cultura en Chile. Este camino tiene ahora un nuevo hito: la llegada de Linval Thompson, leyenda del reggae jamaiquino, productor y cantante que marcó los años 70 y 80 con clásicos que han inspirado a generaciones. El artista se presentará en un evento especial en Valparaíso, acompañado por las potentes frecuencias de Quebrada Soundsystem, consolidando un cruce histórico entre la tradición del Caribe y la escena local, destaca la musicalización instrumental de los DUB SLPENDOR y un gran elenco en producción.
