Because we are in Christ we don't have to sin. We are liberated from our allegiance to sin and liberated to follow God. We should be motivated to obey God, but that when we don't, Jesus pleads for us.

We can rest because God's redeeming love has given us mercy and hope.
God's redeeming love brings us mercy, and through the mercy He extends to us we are able to show others mercy.

Because of who God is and what he has done we are a family of missionary servants.
A proper understanding of Christianity begins with a correct understanding of who God is.
In spite of cultural changes we have unchanging biblical truths to guide us.
How and where members and deacons serve.
The church is God's people, saved by Gods' power, for His purposes. The people are the church.
Although we are sinful and require disciple, there is hope in God.
Sin has a destructive effect on our lives, just like Jerusalem.
We should give all of our self to God because He gave all of himself for us.
Sin entered the world through one man, but also through one man are we saved.
Jesus fulfilled the law because we could not.
Our new identities in Christ call us to be on mission for God's kingdom.
Mission gets messy when we open ourselves to the lives of others, but it's the same way Jesus lived.
Paul closes his letter by asking us to remember his chains.
Through Christ we are adopted by God and can know him and his will.
Paul describes faithful partnership in the work of the gospel.
Paul gives instruction for walking with outsiders.
