Un 20 gadu garumā kopā ar „Sinfonietta Rīga” mērķtiecīgi pārkāpa robežas un paplašināja klausītāju muzikālo panorāmu, kā to iepriekš bija darījis ar "Rīgas kamermūziķiem" un Rīgas festivāla orķestri. Šajā pavasarī Normunds Šnē savu amatu atstāja. Tomēr viņa profesionālais kalendārs joprojām ir pilns. Kultūras rondo studijā – obojists, „Sinfonietta Rīga” bijušais mākslinieciskais vadītājs, tagad orķestra Goda diriģents Normunds Šnē. Saruna no mūzikas un diriģēšanas un politikas vadības līdzībām līdz sēņošanai un radioamatierismam. Par ieceri atvadīties no paša dibinātā Valsts kamerorķestra „Sinfonietta Rīga” kapteiņa posteņa diriģents Normunds Šnē paziņoja jau pirms vairāk nekā diviem gadiem, ļaujot ar šo domu aprast gan mūziķiem, gan „Sinfoniettas” uzticīgajai publikai. Jaunajā sezonā orķestra māksliniecisko vadību pārņems Latvijā jau sen iepazītais igauņu diriģents Olari Eltss, bet Normunds Šnē negrasās vadīt pensiju dīvānā pie televizora. Viņš turpinās gan diriģēt, gan darboties otrā sev mīļajā amatā kā producents un skaņu inženieris. Pēdējā sezona kopā ar „Sinfonietta Rīga” Normundam Šnē precīzi raksturo orķestra izcilo „maiņveiža” spēju, ko Šnē ar mūziķiem izkopis no pirmās dienas – no pirmatskaņojumiem līdz operas un džeza saplūsmei, no senās mūzikas līdz laikmetīgās mūzikas meistardarbiem, kādus var īstenot „tikai vienreiz mūžā”, kā Pjēra Bulēza „Reponse” pērn "Lielajā dzintarā". Ar Normundu Šnē tikāmies neilgi pēc kāda pavisam īpaša koncerta, kur viņš jau bija klausītājos kā Goda diriģents – „Sinfonietta Rīga” uzstāšanās Naukšēnos, vietā, kur pirms 20 gadiem orķestris sniedza savu pašu pirmo koncertu. Māra Rozenberga: Jau savulaik esat intervijās teicis, ka vadīt orķestri - tas nozīmē strādāt bez brīvdienām. Tagad jums mazliet varbūt kādas brīvdienas būs? Kam jums tagad atliks vairāk laika? Normunds Šnē: Noteikti vairāk laika atliks saviem bērniem un ģimenei noteikti. Man mājās ir šis tas iecerēts, kas ir jāizdara, visus šos gadus ir nolikts stūrītī. Bet man joprojām ir daudz aizpildītas nedēļas manā kalendārā gan ar ierakstiem, kuru, es ceru, būs vairāk, un ir jau faktiski vairāki projekti. Tas ir pietiekami nopietni, un tas prasa diezgan daudz arī laika, visa pēcapstrāde un tamlīdzīgi. Ko darīt būs, un neizskatās, ka es varēšu tagad iet mežā lasīt sēnes. Kaut gan tieši vakar [pirms sarunas ieraksta dienas] to izdarīju, bet konstatēju, ka kāds jau ir pasteidzies pirms manis laukos pastaigāt pa manu mežiņu. Bet man nav žēl. Protams, arī kaut kāds laiks mazliet pārdomām un hobijam - radio. Es speciāli cenšos neko neplānot, jo, kā mana nelielā pieredze tomēr rāda, ka tās lietas un darbi, ja kādam tas nepieciešams, atnāk paši. Es nekad neesmu ar savu pašreklāmu milzīgi nodarbojies. (..) Māra Rozenberga: Es reizēm domāju par diriģenta profesiju kā par ārkārtīgi grūtu augsta līmeņa menedžera darbu. Jums visu laiku ir jāatrodas publikas priekšā, jums ir ļoti ātri jāspēj pieņemt labus lēmumus un vēl jāspēj netikt izsvilptam. Šis ir Saeimas vēlēšanu gads, un ko jūs no savas diriģentu pieredzes varētu ieteikt tiem cilvēkiem, kuri šobrīd pošas vadīt valsti? Normunds Šnē: Būt patiesiem un nemēģināt darīt to, ko jūs nevarat darīt. Ne katrs var būt diriģents, un es pieņemu, ka ne katrs var vadīt valsti. Es pats esmu bijis orķestra mūziķis, un esmu sajutis uz savas ādas, cik tas ir ārkārtīgi mokoši, ka diriģēt mēģina persona, kura faktiski to īsti nevar, kurai nav nepieciešamās dotības ne kā mūziķim, kuram nav nepieciešamās harizmas, kuram nav nepieciešamās prasmes izskaidrot savu viedokli, panākt, kas vēl svarīgāk, lai orķestris jums seko. Es domāju, ka tas pats ir pilnīgi jebkurā sfērā. Un ar valsti, man liekas, ir vēl trakāk, jo tā "kompānija", ko jūs vadiet, valsts, tā ir tik ārkārtīgi raibu personību kopums, ka tas faktiski stāv pāri tam, kas ir nepieciešams manā profesijā. Jums jāsaprot, ka jūs nekad labs nebūsiet visiem. Bet jums ir tomēr jāmēģina atrast veids, kā panākt savu, kā realizēt savas idejas. Un tas, pirmkārt, nozīmē, ka jums ir jābūt savām idejām, kuras ir interesantas ne tikai jums pašam, nevis kuras piepildīs jūsu kabatu, bet kuras kaut kādā veidā padarīs jūsu darbu par nozīmīgu. Un tas ir pats svarīgākais. Orķestra priekšā atrodoties, šī nepārtrauktā uzmanība ir norma. Jūs esat priekšā 34, kā mūsu gadījumā, jeb 90 kā liela simfoniskā orķestra gadījumā, personībām, kuram katram savs viedoklis gan par jums, gan par to, ko mēs spēlējam, gan par to, kā tas būtu jāspēlē, gan par to, kā būtu jāizskatās orķestra ikdienai, pilnīgi par jebko. -- Līdz ar jauno, 21. koncertsezonu, kas ar koncertu LU Lielajā aulā aizsāksies 2. oktobrī, par Valsts kamerorķestra „Sinfonietta Rīga” māksliniecisko vadītāju kļūs igauņu diriģents Olari Eltss. „Sinfoniettu” viņš diriģējis jau vairākkārt, bet divtūkstošo gadu sākumā bija Latvijas Nacionālā simfoniskā orķestra mākslinieciskais vadītājs. Kopš 2020. gada Olari Eltss ir Igaunijas Nacionālā simfoniskā orķestra galvenais diriģents.

There has been no word on whether those partaking in the fuel price protest will be in attendance or engage with said meeting. Minister for Defence Helen McEntee has said the activities of some protesters is “crossing into criminal behaviour”. Minister McEntee spoke to Anton this morning.

Our attitudes and outlooks can impact our lives significantly, so maintaining our God-given joy is essential. But how do we maintain joy? In this sermon covering the third week of Advent, Pastor Allen Jackson shares three steps we can take to keep our joy intact, and he teaches about the impacts joy has on perseverance, especially through suffering. Like hope that needs a foundation to rest on, joy requires upkeep, and we can practice that through familiarity with God's Word, listening to God's voice, and being in godly community. Holidays can be painful, but we can have lasting joy even through suffering, because our joy is made complete through our willingness to persevere in faith.
