We have come to another of the great evidences that we are God's children. Read 1 John 2:7-11 and take special notice of the closing expression in verse eight. The Bible says, "the true light now shineth." We are living in a world of light and darkness. Our lives are made of decisions, and we need God's light to give us wisdom to make right decisions. One can live a long life without wisdom, and life becomes an absolute ruin. One can live a short life in the wisdom of God, and God considers that life to be a grand success.

Sometimes it feels like the darkness is winning. With all the hatred and division in the world, it might feel like there is no hope for light and love to overcome. But in 1 John 2:3-11, we hear that the true light is already shining. It shines in Jesus, and it shines in us.

Tim and Mary take a look at the headlines, once again – and another news cycle that just bears out how late the hour is. Waking up to a weekend of violence, we have to not only ask ourselves why, but it makes us want to shout from the hilltops: “Enough! Stop it!” The average American does struggle with the lawlessness we witness in bundles sometimes, but we feel completely helpless to do anything about it. We look at why the evil is so ramped up. We also take a look at Europe and it’s unbelievable, unrelenting pursuit of a surveillance state. It makes us all wonder who exactly gave who permission to look at every chat and text their citizens send. Also, we have to examine the underpinnings of the Australian Hanukkah rampage and discuss what Hanukkah actually is. The signs were all there, but just like October 7, there wasn’t enough time or energy to take any of it seriously. How dark will it get before the True Light returns for His people?
