Vance set the trends of the time with her character designed portrayals in iconic films such as Fast Times at Ridgemont High, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Pretty in Pink and Pretty Woman. Marilyn was also the first female to costume design for the action genre, designing costumes for iconic action blockbusters like 48 hours, Die Hard 1 & 2, The Untouchables, Predator 1 & 2, Time Cop & Road House. Also collaborating with Concept Artist Phillip Boutee Jr. as the main host to the show! Phillip is known for his work as assistant costume designer for Mattel and Netflix’s upcoming “Masters of the Universe,” has also worked tirelessly for well over a decade to establish himself as a concept artist whom costume designers and studios are eager to work with. With credits such as “Black Panther,” “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Captain Marvel,” to name just three, Boutte has become one of the few people of color in a field in which directors and star talent can step in and make a difference by championing inclusion. Guest Costume Designer Sammy Sheldon Differ and Host Robert Meyer Burnett special interview dedicated to Marvel's The Eternals SAMMY SHELDON DIFFER (Costume Designer) was born in Manchester and started her career at the Royal Exchange Theatre as a costume maker, then studied Costume Design at Wimbledon School of Art from 1990 to 1993. After graduating with a degree, she moved into designing costumes for pop promos and advertising, before becoming an assistant designer on films including Ridley Scott's & and Jake Scott's. She went on to design costumes for Ridley Scott's Hawk and the mockumentary & starring Orlando Bloom. Sammy has received BAFTA Film nominations for her work on Morten Tyldum's “The Imitation Game”, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley. “The Merchant of starring Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons, and a BAFTA TV nomination for the BBC's modern adaptation of The Canterbury Tales: The Wife of Bath”. Costume Designers Guild Award nominations for Excellence in Period Film “The Imitation Game”, and Excellence in Fantasy Film “Ex Machina”, “X-Men: First Class” and “V for Vendetta”. Other film credits include “Kick-Ass Hellboy 2: The Golden Army. Designing Hollywood Podcast dedicates a new episode to Costume Designer Shawna Trpcic with host Phillip Boutte Jr. Shawna Trpcic is known for her work on The Core (2003), What Lies Beneath (2000) and Hidalgo (2004) and most recent The Mandalorian Season 2 (2020) Shawna Tprcic (Costume Designer) got her start in the industry with the 1990 film "Megaville" and went on to work as a costume assistant on the movie "Toys," nominated for an Academy Award for Costume Design and was the costume design illustrator for "Bugsy," which won the Oscar for Costume Design, and then designed "Red Shoe Diaries." She later served as the costume designer on Joss Whedon's "Firefly," "Angel," "Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog," "Dollhouse," "Cabin in the Woods," and "Much Ado About Nothing." Shawna also served as Costume Designer for "Torchwood: Miracle Day" and "Spongebob Squarepants 3" before being asked to join the team of "The Mandalorian" for season 2, which follows the Mandalorian and the Child as they continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.
