So often in life we are buried underneath a pile of lies. No one is immune to this. No matter what our background or history is we have all been exposed to lies in one form or another. These lies come in many forms. From people directly communicating words to us, to things that we see and hear. In any event, a lie is a lie. And the only thing to get us out of a lie, is the truth. This episode is focused on Truth. I felt led to create an episode to accomplish one simple thing. To share some foundational truth about who you ARE. In hopes to silence the voice of lies that we all struggle with. My hope is that you feel seen, known, and comforted as you listen to this message. I am with you, I am for you. Eric Bando and I reunite once again for another honest conversation about life. In this episode we share experiences that we are currently working through. He shares his powerful revelation on the word release. If you are having trouble letting go of something, or someone, if you are making decisions based on fear, this episode is for you! Do you need to be in control and always have your way? Or are you closely connected to someone who functions this way? We understand 100%. There is no shame or judgment here dear one. Whether you are on the giving or receiving end of this hardship, we understand. Letting go is hard, and honestly sucks. However, control creates fear. And fear produces more control. If we don't interrupt the pattern we will stay stuck. I know that's not what we want as a people. There are other options beloved. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed creating it. Please let me know how this episode affects you. Even if you have a negative reaction please let me know. I am open to hearing about your experience because you matter. I love you. Sometimes we are so use to playing small and not living in the arena. We have grown accustom to participating with limited thinking, which holds us back in life. I know it's been beyond hard this last year, maybe you feel like it's impossible to be thankful right now, I get it I really do. The truth is you are not alone or stuck. Even if you think you are. Nope, its NOT true. You can choose thankfulness at any time. Thankfulness and gratitude is a choice. It can even come in the form of something very simple and mundane. Todays episode/song title is "Thank U" by the amazing Alanis Morissette! I had always loved this track from the 90's, and when reviewing the lyrics recently I KNEW I wanted to connect it with a episode. These lyrics describe Ms. Alanis being at at place of clarity and truth. She recalls the things she had experienced along the way. My interpretation is that she is actually saying thank you because she didn't overcome DISPITE of the hardship, rather BECAUSE of it. There is a lot of power in this type of mindset and understanding. Check out the song, and this episode containing silliness, thankfulness, no room for shame, with a compassionate ending. Have you ever noticed how hesitant we can be to do things? Its surprising how much of a habit this is for allot of us. Here in episode 5 I share the fact that It's YOUR life, its YOUR journey, and you have permission. You might not be aware of this, but let me tell ya....its true!! Do you want to ask questions, wear certain clothing, do you want to say no instead of feeling obligated to others? It can be anything. What you think and how you feel matters. But you don't have to hold back, you can do things.  Check out this episode to be encouraged and empowered in the area of having permission.  Because music is such a big part of my life, I decided to name each episode with a song title that matched the theme of the episode. This is a fun idea that I really enjoy. Since I am a fan of "whatever bring life, do it" I'm doing it! This episode is title "Don't Need Permission" by Meg Mac. I really like her voice, and of course the message in her lyrics.
