He is also a co-founder and director of development for Wine on Wheels, an organization that helps recently disabled people. In episode 19, we talked about the health problems related to the treatment of a spinal cord injury. Its many health problems, you need to care when getting a spinal cord injury. A primary concern is UTIs! UTIS is simply a part of life for people with spinal cord injuries. In this episode, one of our hosts talks about his stay in hospital and what he felt during that period. It is very important to take care of yourself and eat clean when you have SCI, because it is easy to get UTIs. You have to drink plenty of water and try to use the cleanest method while using the bathroom. Tune in to episode 19, we're talking about it all!

Eli Ramos is a C6/C7 Quad. At age 20, he sustained his SCI in 2012 after a fall from a 2nd story faulty balcony. Ramos returned to school in 2014 and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the City College of New York in 2016 with a degree in International Studies and a dual minor in History and Economics. He currently works at the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities under it's employment initiative.
