This week on the podcast Hunter and Austin talk about blazing your own path, taking the road less traveled, and the possibilities that arise when you approach that unknown path with a 'What If' mentality. Your Go Get It Challenge of the week is to stay true to a vision of yours that is off the beaten path. Stay true to a goal you have that people say you can't do. And whichever question resonates with you more, “Why can't I do it?” or “What if?” your challenge is to write that on a piece of paper or a post it note and put that somewhere you will see each day this week. Your mirror, your nightstand, your door, your fridge, wherever. Link to Austin's video about Taylor Rapp: https://youtu.be/WqSuod51Yxg Have a question for the next listener call in show? This week on the podcast, Hunter and Austin respond to a great question from friend of the podcast, Mia Sadler, and use it to launch into a discussion about how we delineate whether or not a goal or dream is still serving us. When is it time to let that goal go? When is it time to buckle down and keep chasing it? Your Go Get It Challenge of the week is to take stock of a goal that you currently have that you think might not be serving you anymore. Ask yourself the questions: Why did I set this goal? Why was that important to me? Is it still that important to me? Will I have regrets if I let this goal go? If it's time to double down and keep pushing, push forward in your pursuit of it. Special Episode!! This week on the podcast, Hunter and Austin are joined by their first guest, and it is someone who embodies the Go Get It mindset. Tom Morris is the Senior Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Performance at Indiana University. Morris has worked with 12 Olympians, and won dozens of NCAA and Big Ten Titles with Indiana Men’s Soccer and the swimming and diving team, and in 2017, became one of 232 people honored nationally with the title of Master Strength & Conditioning Coach. Tom talks a lot about resilience, and it’s a muscle that he exercises every day. After suffering a spinal cord injury in May of 2012, Tom went from being on top of the world both mentally and physically to being what he refers to as “Zeroed Out”. He went from racing some of the toughest races on earth to not being able to push a wheel chair more than 5 ft. As he says on his website: “This life changing event made me realize how fortunate we are to wake up each and every day. To have the ability to live life without barriers. To have the option to achieve any goal that we want. I work to encourage everyone to take advantage of every second. Don’t set goals that will start in a week. Start right now!” Your #GoGetItChallenge of the week: the next time you face adversity and you want to react very quick, take a pause first. Step back from the situation and think about how you want to react. Follow the Go Get It Podcast Follow Tom Morris
