Listeners of Lost Trade that love the show mention:The Lost Trade podcast is a captivating and informative show that introduces listeners to a wide range of crafts and trades. Hosted by Don Gonzales, this podcast serves as an introduction to knowledge, skills, inspiration, and new relationships with people in various trades, particularly those related to leather. Don has created a platform for craftsmen to connect with a wider audience and share their expertise and experiences. The conversations had in many of these interviews provide top-notch knowledge and advice that can be applied to any service trade. Additionally, the podcast captures the history of these trades from the men and women who have perfected them.
One of the best aspects of The Lost Trade podcast is the quality of the content. Don does an exceptional job at providing comprehensive and informative episodes. His interviews are engaging and personal, creating more of a conversation than a typical interview. The guests are interesting and bring valuable insights into their respective crafts. Whether you're a seasoned craftsman or just starting out, this podcast offers something for everyone.
Another great aspect is how Don brings together different trades under one platform. The diversity of crafts covered on the show is impressive, giving listeners a broad perspective on various artisanal practices. This allows for cross-pollination of ideas and techniques between different industries.
However, one potential downside is that some episodes may not directly relate to leatherworking or crafting. While these episodes still provide valuable insights into other areas, they may not be as appealing to listeners who are specifically interested in leatherwork or related trades.
In conclusion, The Lost Trade podcast is an excellent resource for anyone interested in learning about traditional crafts and trades. Don Gonzales has done an outstanding job at creating content that is both educational and engaging. From his thoughtful interviews to capturing the history behind these lost trades, this podcast offers invaluable insights for craftsmen at all skill levels. It's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for inspiration, knowledge, or simply enjoy listening to passionate craftsmen sharing their stories.
