“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Fine is just fine. That's the premise of a book and podcast taking aim at the self-development and wellness industries. Marketresearch.com estimates the self-improvement industry is worth more than $10 billion a year. It exploded virtually during the pandemic. Jolenta Greenberg, a comedian and self-described reality TV historian, and Kristen Meinzer, a culture critic, lived by 100 self-improvement books. They evaluated the good, the bad and the truly ridiculous. Their adventures were the basis for a podcast called "By the Book." Their big conclusion? Being fine is just fine. Greenberg and Meinzer went on to write the book "How to be Fine" and now co-host a podcast by the same name that offers advice to listeners while tackling other wellness trends. "Look at the credentials of who is giving you advice. That's my first pointer, and the first thing I sort of learned to do once I started really reading some advice that was out there. Look at the source. Is the person a doctor? Is it an honorary doctorate? Did they actually go to school to become a doctor? Being known for his accomplishments and long career as a successful wildlife photographer, his personal story on developing his craft and passion for the subject matter is truly amazing. Wyman lives in Benjamin, TX where he was born and raised. He still spends his days calling in coyotes and other wildlife working to capture photos of these amazing wild creatures. Jeff Stanfield & Andy Shaver are joined by the only Official State Photographer of Texas, Wyman Meizner. Wyman has recently finished his upcoming book, The Art of Predator Calling: A Portrait in Tradition, which will be available later this fall. They discuss his passion for pursuing coyotes and his meticulous note taking, his mindset going into this latest book project, rattlesnakes dens, and plenty of history.
Wyman Meinzer is the only official State Photographer of Texas, named so in 1997 by the Texas State Legislature and then Gov. George W. Bush, an honor he still holds today. He was raised on the League Ranch, a 27,000-acre ranch in the rolling plains of Texas. Since then, he has traveled to every corner of this great state and all points in between in search of the first and last rays of sunlight in its magnificent sweep across the Texas landscape. Meinzer graduated from Texas Tech in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Management and was voted Outstanding Alumnus in 1987 by the department of Range and Wildlife Management at Texas Tech University. He also received the Distinguished Alumnus award in 1995 from the School of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. In august of 1999, Meinzer was honored to give the graduation commencement address at his alma matter Texas Tech University. During his 12 years as adjunct instructor in communications at Texas Tech University, Wyman was selected as Agriculture Communications Teacher of the Year in 2005. In 2009 he received the Distinguished Alumnus award from Texas Tech University in recognition of outstanding achievement and dedicated service. Post graduation Wyman spent five years as a professional predator hunter on the big ranches of the rolling plains. During this period he worked to perfect his photographic skills and now, after 33 years as a professional photographer, Wyman has photographed and /or written 24 large format books, and his images have appeared on more than 250 magazine covers throughout America. His images have appeared in Smithsonian, National Geographic Books, Natural History, Ebony, Time, Newsweek, U.S. News and World Report, Audubon, Sports Afield, Field and Stream, Outdoor life, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas Highways, Korea GEO, German GEO, Das Tier, Airone, Horzu, BBC Wildlife, and a host others. Honors include: Official State Photographer of Texas by the 75th Texas State Legislature, the John Ben Sheppard Jr. Award from the Texas State Historical Foundation for contributing to the preservation of Texas History through writing and photography, 1997 National Literary Award for the book, “Texas Lost: Vanishing Heritage” (with author Andrew Sansom), the San Antonio Conservation Award for the natural history book, “Roadrunner”, the 2003“Star of Texas Award”, from the Gillespie County Historical Society with author John Graves for their collaborative work, “Texas Hill Country”, and in 2011 the dual awards of “Texas Heroes Hall of Honor”, from the Frontier Times Museum in Bandera, Texas, and The A.C. Green Literary Award, presented to a distinguished Texas author for lifetime achievement. Meinzer is a self-taught historian who lives in Benjamin with his wife, Sylinda. Along with his photography, Meinzer loves hunting with rifles, pistols and bow, flying and wood work. With the world's 8th largest economy (third in Latina America), Beatriz Vivas has the honor and responsibility of representing Argentina and assisting their citizens throughout the Midwest. She joins Paola Meinzer to share more on what makes her country beautiful and how her career in diplomacy began. Part of Beatriz's job is to promote tourism in Argentina, but also to create awareness for American companies working in Argentina to export foods found in your everyday cuisine. “I would love to host an Argentinian wine demonstration. Malbec is a really strong player, the quality is extremely high and the price is very reasonable. It's a wine with depth and different fruits. You can taste the fruits and also the wood in which it's stored in the last part of the cultivation process.” With a shared love for Maleb, the idea of creating a tasting event creates more than just conversation about wine. It creates an awareness of how Argentinian cuisine and culture have already found their way into everyday American life. Much to the surprise of most people. Beatriz is here to make the Consulate a meeting point for our community and provide a service that serves its constituents. In the same manner, her office promotes Argentinian culture through the several festivals in the region. However, tourism and awareness haven't always been part of her job. “I went to law school at the beginning. I started practicing law, but after some time I realized that there were some issues where I was interested that needed to be addressed in a more global way. So I joined the foreign service and was sent to different countries where I had the opportunity to be involved in matters of global crime. On this episode of The Face of Latina Professionals Podcast, host Paola Meinzer sits down with the Consul General of Chile in Chicago, Ambassador Aylin Joo Liem. A granddaughter to Chinese immigrants, Aylin grew up in Santiago, Chile knowing from a young age that she wanted to be a diplomat. “I was 14 years old. I was quite young. But my best friend, she still remembers. She said, ‘you had it so clear. When we were already at school, you wanted to be a diplomat.'” She is the first woman to hold this position and shares that in the last month or so, history has been made. “Actually this is the first time that the government has among 13 colleagues ambassadors, six of them are women. This is really the first time in Chile and this is a compromise made by the government who wanted to implement a feminist foreign policy.” Her biggest passion is gender equality and she participates in different platforms to support women. “It was not enough before to say that we were just half of the population. I think that the world has discovered that women play a very big role and we have been a subsidized society for centuries.” In her foreign service, Aylin has been working with other colleagues promoting women into important leadership roles and key positions. In her words, “we reflect and we represent half of the country. No matter where I will be, I will always continue supporting and working for women's visibility. ” Aylin recently wrote an article describing a bit of what the last four years in Chile have been like. There has been a new government put in place. In part, she touched on the pandemic, but also spent time focusing on a new social movement that began in 2018. “Some students were protesting on the street demanding for some protocol against sexual harassment in the academic field. On this episode of The Face of Latina Professionals, host Alexis Rodriguez sits down with Paola Meinzer to talk about Paola's story of immigrating to the United States as an adult and turning her passion into pioneering for Latina women. “I'm just a girl from Colombia that came out here almost 20 years ago. I came as an adult and I came with my luggage full of dreams. After 20 years, I can say that I'm a very blessed person. This country has brought a lot of wonderful things to my life.” Originally moving to Miami where she was surrounded by other Colombians and Latinos of various backgrounds, it didn't quite feel like America to her yet. It wasn't until she moved to be with family in Cincinnati, Ohio that her new American identity began to take shape. “I was new to this country, I was new to that environment. I was trying to find myself to identify who I would be or how I was going to fit within the professional world and within my community. It took me a couple of years to realize that actually one of the, um, of one of my strengths was who I was; Latina.” The two discuss how the term ‘Latina' was new to Paola coming to America. In Colombia, if you were from Colombia, you were Colombian while if you were from Peru you were Peruvian. However, in America Paola learned that ‘Latina' was a term embracing women of all Latin American backgrounds creating a beautiful fabric of identity in our melting pot of a country. “I think that what my approach was, I'm not anymore a Colombian, I'm not anymore a woman from South America. Now I really embrace that. I'm a Latina period. There's not that much of a difference from a lady from Mexico, or a lady from Puerto Rico. For me, we are Latinas. We are this, this is who we are as a culture.” Paola's pride and passion for being a Latina and a part of this amazing community of women has led to her co-founding a networking organization called Latina Executive Entrepreneur Network (LEEN). The mission of LEEN is to bring together a diverse group of high-growth Latina business women from different backgrounds and organizations to inspire, empower, and educate. For Paola, LEEN has been something God placed in her heart. It stemmed from her own journey coming to America not quite having the business network of women like her and wanting to create that space for the next generation of Latina leaders. “For me being part of many business organizations within my career, I always felt that it was something missing. I felt that we needed that specific space where we can come together to help each other. We're all in the same boat.” The future for LEEN is bright and brimming with opportunities. One of the goals Paola shares with us is to expand the organization to be inclusive of all women from various backgrounds beyond Latin America. As Paola says, “We all want to excel, but we can not win on our own. This episode has plenty of Texas history as the guys discuss various historic Texas ranches like the 6666 ranch, life of early settlers and Native Americans on the plains, and the lawless nature of West Texas in the 1800's.
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2019, suicide was the second leading cause of death among adolescents ages 13 to 19 — and the leading cause of death among 13-year-olds. The suicide death rate among Black youth is increasing faster than any other racial/ethnic group. In addition, 18.4% of youth with ADHD made at least one attempt by age 18, in stark contrast to only 5.7% of youth without ADHD. What are some of the predisposing factors of ADHD that increase the risk of suicide? Michael Meinzer provides insight into the difference between suicidal ideation and self-harm, triggers, warning signs, treatment, and appropriate responses to help someone with suicidal thoughts. He also sets the record straight on myths that prevent individuals and family members from reaching out for support. Michael Meinzer, PhD Michael Meinzer, PhD, is an assistant professor in the department of psychology and the director of the Young Adult and Adolescent ADHD Services Lab at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He also directs UIC's SUCCEEDS College ADHD Clinic. His research focuses on adverse outcomes (such as depression, early pregnancy, substance use, delinquency) that are particularly prevalent among individuals with ADHD during adolescence and early adulthood. Dr. Meinzer is interested in examining the mechanisms behind ADHD and comorbid psychopathology and subsequently developing tailored programming to address these difficulties. His work has been recognized by various mental health organizations and has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health. He received the Young Scientist Award from CHADD in 2016. He serves as the chair (elect) of the ADHD special interest group for the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) and the secretary (designate) of the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (Division 53 of the American Psychological Association). Dr. Meinzer is also a consulting editor of Clinical Research Digest, the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, and the Journal of Attention Disorders.

Meinzer is doing some amazing work down South growing the game of hockey in a place where most people would never believe! Matthew Meinzer is from Buffalo NY born on skates, raised on hockey. After College he moved to NYC and became a skills development coach and power skating instructor. He then decided to take the show on the road, and went way South to Ecuador and started coaching hockey there. After he found out that all equipment and sticks were shipped from the USA at a massive cost he decided to make 1 stick to see if he could do it. After 3 years he met his future wife and moved to Argentina. They moved to Ushuaia because there is the only full size ice rink in all of South America there. He then started coaching, even before he even had a place to live or a job but then he found a workshop that liked my idea of making hockey sticks. Florian wurde im Jahre 1989 in Emden geboren und ist im schönen Oldenburg aufgewachsen. Dort absolvierte er die Sonderschule, bevor er in Bremen eine Ausbildung als Koch begann. Denn Florian ist zum ersten Mal jemand, der aus meinem inneren Zirkel kommt und der seit Monaten mein Marketing im Background managt. Danke für das ändere ich voll gerne. Und hallo Schwyzerdütsch Rede? Nein, sicher [00:02:30] nicht. Tun wir den Schweizern nicht an, wir sind gar nicht so weit voneinander weg auseinander. Du hast ja deinen Wohnort eigentlich zweigeteilt, war Spanien und Schweiz jetzt wieder aufgegeben. Und es ist rein Schweizer. Shopify Richtig, weil die Frau gerne wieder zurück in die Heimat wollte. Meine Firma ist hier natürlich viel gependelt zwischen Barcelona, Schweiz, Deutschland und öSTERREICH. Shopify Und von daher kommt es mir sehr zugute, dass [00:03:00] wir wieder in die Schweiz gelandet sind. Ja, hat Vorteile. Sonne ist nicht so toll, aber das gibts über Vor und Nachteile. Okay, wir haben uns vor ein paar Tagen unterhalten. Es war diese Woche, heute Donnerstag, es war am Montag oder Dienstag haben wir uns unterhalten, haben uns so über die Auswirkungen vom Virus unterhalten und was wir so machen könnten. Shopify Und da hast du mir gesagt Du, Markus. Im Gegensatz zu den meisten bin ich total entspannt, weil meine Shops rennen weiter und sagt [00:03:30] Was für Shops hast du eigentlich gesagt? Du, meine Marketing-Agentur ist eigentlich nur nebensächlich. Meine Haupteinnahmequelle sind meine Shops, und zwar meine Shopping Shops. Da sage ich der Verwalter, ich habe schon mal davon gehört, hab mich noch nie damit befasst. Ist es schwierig, so etwas aufzubauen? Das kann ich dir zwei, drei Wochen beibringen. Tochter. Wenn ich das kapiert habe und [00:04:00] ich bin Sonderschüler, dann kapiert das jeder andere schlau oder draußen auch das kann ich jedem beibringen. Und jetzt haben wir echt beschlossen, dass wir ab sofort. Ab nächster Woche werde ich ausgebildet. Shopify Wir machen eine kleine 10a Gruppe, und Florian baut einfach mal einen Schoppe falsch auf, und wir schauen ihm dabei über die Schulter und schauen mal zu, wie schnell das Ding 10 000 Euro verdient, ist im Prinzip so richtig, was ich gesagt habe, oder Das ist richtig. Und die Challenge ist ja [00:04:30] im Endeffekt leicht zu erreichen. Wenn man die gewisse Strategien befolgt, die ich sage, dann kann das im Endeffekt jede. Jeder Hans und Franz kann das dann erreichen. In kürzester Zeit habe ich mal 10000 Euro Gewinn erzielen mit einem eigenen Onlineshop. Shopify Was ist Shopping? Shopping? Im Endeffekt nur eine Plattform ein ein Hoster, wo du deinen Shop [00:05:00] erstellen kannst und wo darüber eine Bestellung läuft etc.. Und ich hab ja jetzt vor zwei Tagen noch gedacht Shopping ist nur ein Addon für WordPress, aber das ist ja gar nicht so eigenständig. Shopify Also Kummers, was du da hinzufügen kannst als Black Shop, die frei ist, komplett unabhängig von jeglicher Form? Genau. Alles klar. Was kostet mich SPV? [00:05:30] Wie viel kostet der Starter kostet 30 Dollar im Monat? Ich würde mal sagen, das ist kein großes Investment für das, was man dann am Ende dann raus bekommt. Ja, kann ich da dann, wenn ich so eine Plattform habe, kann ich da dann mehrere Shops eröffnen? Aber muss ich jedes Mal für jeden Shop, jedes Mal ein Okay das, ein neues genau verstehe? Shopify Ich melde mich an, ich leg los und zwar so, wie du du sagst [00:06:00] und dann habe ich im Prinzip eine Website. Muss ich dann nicht noch eine Domain kaufen? Eine dumme Domain gehört natürlich dazu. Genau. Du kannst dir über Gundeli. Kannst du dir deine Domain sichern? Ich mache das überall. Encke Weil die haben immer diese Pakete dabei, dass du zum Beispiel 20 Domain gleichzeitig zur Verfügung hast. Und im besten Fall kann man natürlich mehrere Shops aufbauen. Wenn man einmal verstanden hat, wie es geht, [00:06:30] dann hast du nicht nur ein Shop, was funktioniert, sondern da hast du wahrscheinlich drei, vier, fünf verschiedene Nischen. Und dann ist natürlich, wie Onkel Guru unterschiedliche Domains sichern kannst und dementsprechend dann deine Onlineshops veröffentlichen kannst. Shopify Wie finde ich? Wie finde ich Leute, die dann auf diesen Online-Shop draufgehen? Ich meine, es gibt ja schon 10000 Online-Shops im Internet. Wie werde ich denn da gefunden? In [00:07:00] erster Linie müssen wir natürlich wissen, in welche Nische wir genau rein gehen wollen. Ja, das sage ich mir die größte. Das verraten wir jetzt auch nicht. Weil der Schnee dann hat? Natürlich nicht. Aber es ist natürlich. Es gibt natürlich unterschiedliche Nischen, es gibt profitable Nischen, es gibt weniger profitable Nischen. Und wenn du die erst mal herausgefunden hast, dann, und du weißt, wie deine Zielgruppe, sprich wie sie sich verhalten. Und dann schaltet du einfach an deine Facebook. Er ist, so scheint es, ein Instagram zum Start, [00:07:30] und dann geht es natürlich weiter. Soweit du über soziale Netzwerke erfolgreich bist, hast du dann auf Google, Google hältst du sowas anschaltet? Shopify Wie schnell komme ich da in die Gewinnzone rein? Nochmal ja oder nein? Du kannst innerhalb von Ein Tag kannst du schon deine erste Verkäufer haben. Ein erster Online-Shop hatte ich die Facebook geschaltet, und ich glaube, drei Stunden später hatte ich schon jetzt Zeit gehabt. Es [00:08:00] ist alles möglich. Wie gesagt, die Vorarbeit ist die größte, die größte Arbeit dabei, immer herauszufinden Wo ist die Nische, welche ist profitabel? Wie groß ist der Markt? Und wenn du das einmal herausgefunden hast? Am Anfang reichen auch Anfänger Skills, um mit Facebook zu schalten, dann direkt auch profitabel zu werden und erst Umsätze zu machen. Shopify Wie viele Shops hast du inzwischen, und wann hast du angefangen? Ich [00:08:30] habe jetzt. Aktuell hat ich vier Shops, und angefangen habe ich. Vor vier Jahren hatte ich meinen ersten Shop gehabt. Das war aber damals noch Top Shipping. Inzwischen mache ich Print auf Demandt. Und so hatte ich am Ende angefangen. Warum? Warum? Shopify Warum ist so umgestiegen auf Print on demand? Shopping ist ja im Endeffekt die Ware. Die meisten fallen [00:09:00] von Aldi Express. Kommen die Linsen gerade in China? Jetzt kann man sich natürlich vorstellen Du hast ein Top stepping Modell. Deine Kunden werden die Produkte aktuell in der aktuellen Situation nicht bekommen, weil die aus China kommen. Und zum einen hast du eine sehr lange Lieferzeit, meistens zwischen drei bis fünf Wochen, wo die Kunden auf ihrem Produkt warten müssen. Shopify Und ich meine, wir haben den Größen Konkurrenz, den Amazon. [00:09:30] In den meisten Fällen von Tipping gibts diese Produkte auch in Amazon. Da sind sie meist sogar noch günstiger, und die Kunden haben es. In eins bis zwei Tagen haben sie bei sich zu Hause. Und das konnte ich natürlich nicht mehr selber dahinter stehen, weil ich mich ja selber darüber ärgern würde, wenn ich eine Hundeleine mir bestelle und muss dafür fünf Wochen war der Einkauf vielleicht nur ein Euro wäre. Aber in Zwischenzeit hätte ich irgendwo lokal irgendwo hingehen können oder ich jetzt mal über Amazon [00:10:00] bestellt. Und deswegen hab ich mich dann von des Business-Modell Shopping verabschiedet. Shopify Verstehe jetzt besser bei Print on Demand. Das heißt aber nicht, dass du Bücher und Visitenkarten druckst, sondern das sind schon Klamotten, Hüte, also, Stoffe, Artikelnummer. Es geht von Stoff, Artikeln, aber genauso wie Tassen kannste bedrucken, du kannst Poster bedrucken. Du kannst Kerzen bedrucken, Handtücher von Textilien, aber auch so [00:10:30] wie ich arbeite mit Print voll. Da kann es auch Schmuck einlagern lassen. Da die Produktpalette sehr, sehr groß. Wo du unterschiedliche Sachen ausprobieren kannst. Im Endeffekt machen kann es mit einer Marke ja eine richtige Nummer wie es im Online-Geschäft. Shopify Wie läuft so etwas ab? Wie baut man so eine Marke auf? Im Endeffekt ist es ja ganz einfach mehr Verkäufe, du hast automatisch, willst du das [00:11:00] einfach mal runter gesetzt. Aber du kannst natürlich auch unterschiedliche Kooperationen eingehen. Shopify Bandow jetzt in einer Nische bist, haben wir mal im Sport, das du dir Influencer, die dann für dich anfangen, die Produkte zu werben, das du auf Rybak gehst, ihr da Kooperationspartner. Du kannst natürlich Stück für Stück hier dein eigenes Brant aufbauen. Du bisher mit dem VfB Oldenburg [00:11:30] zusammen? Ja, wie geil ist das denn? Wie kommt man daran? Du hast den Fanshop von denen aufgebaut und verdient daran mit. Oder was? Ich habe mehrere Shops, wo ich das aufgebaut habe, wo ich gesagt habe, ich möchte da jetzt kein Geld für eine Gewinnbeteiligungen haben. Und so hab ich dann vom Kunden zu Kunden unterschiedliche Umsatz. Beteiligung? Das ist eben die Idee, die ich so liebe. Einfach zu gucken [00:12:00] Hey, wer hätte das gerne? Wer hat noch nicht umhin zu gehen und zu sagen Hey, ich würde mal kostenlos arbeiten. Und wenn es erfolgreich ist, dann profitieren wir beide davon, weil du bisher der einzige, der mit deren Logo Geld verdienen darf außer dem Verein selber. Richtig, heißt es dann machst du das auch selber und schlägt es den vor oder kriegst du das? Shopify Beim VfB Oldenburg ist es so. Ich habe einen relativen Freiraum, weil sie einfach komplett blind [00:12:30] vertrauen. Ich lasse es natürlich immer noch ein bisschen absegnen, auch wenn mein Design sehr. Was ist die neue Kollektion? Will man irgendwas Besonderes machen? Aber grundsätzlich kann man sagen, dass ich da freien Lauf habe. Und Designs mache ich selber mit meinem Team zusammen. Shopify Okay das. Ich muss auch dazu sagen, zum Beispiel beim VfB Oldenburg. Ich meine, das ist ein Viertligisten. Die [00:13:00] haben natürlich nicht mal das Kapital wie Borussia Dortmund oder FC Bayern. Bevor ich angekommen sind. Sie hatten in Ihren Online-Shop, hattendie Produkte gehabt. Dann hab ich bei denen auch den Vertriebsweg eingebaut mit Print on Demand. Das heißt, Sie haben jetzt natürlich dadurch keine Lagerkosten. Die müssen sich nicht um den Versandkosten. Shopify Hörst [00:13:30] du mich noch? Ich bin ja, ja. Bei uns ist die Kamera ausgefallen, unser Netz ist nicht das Beste. Meine Frau hat den Herd ausgeschaltet, aber dann müssen wir. Wir sind weiter am Aufzeichnen. Alles gut. Wobei Ich kann natürlich nicht das Geld wie Dortmund fünf, sechs Produkte in Ihrem Sortiment. Mit dem neuen Vertriebsweg mit Print on Demand, [00:14:00] was ja eigentlich nur so viel heißt wie Ein Kunde bestellt bei dir in dein Shop, dann gibst du diese Bestellung an eine Druckerei weiter, und der druckt dann das Design auf das jeweilige Textil. Und er verschickt es auch direkt. Das heißt, du hast natürlich, du musst keine Mindest bestellmenge anfordern von 2000 Produkten und muss so und so viel Geld erst mal investieren, damit überhaupt einigermaßen eine Kollektion hast. Du kannst immer sehr viel [00:14:30] ausprobieren und testen lassen. Spielt natürlich bei einem Verein wie Eulenburg natürlich sehr in den Karten, und wir haben uns letztens mal die Zahlen angeschaut. Von den letzten zehn Jahren vom Online-Shop und die letzten Monate von November bis März jetzt. Und wir haben mehr Umsatz generiert als in den letzten vier Jahren insgesamt. So was war natürlich ausschlaggebender Punkt war natürlich das Geschäftsmodell mit Print on Demand. Und [00:15:00] da ist natürlich auch der Fussballverein sehr begeistert. Richtig. Und die Fans natürlich auch. Das ist natürlich eine geile Nummer. Das eröffnet ganz neue Wege. Welche Kooperationen hast du noch? Ja, ich arbeite mit Paul Uwe zusammen. Ein großer Uhrenhersteller, Schmuck, Hersteller. Dann arbeite ich habe da natürlich noch meine eigene Shops, [00:15:30] zum Beispiel in der Kochnische tätig, weil ich ja selber gelernter Koch bin. Heißt Ich kenne die Sprache der Köche. Ich weiß, ich kann da auch. Im Marketing kann ich ein bisschen aggressiver sein, aber jetzt nicht in Form, dass ich die Belästigung, sondern einfach von einem Werbetexter kann ich ein bisschen aggressiver sein. Und da bin ich natürlich sehr erfolgreich, weil ich einfach die Sprache von den Köchen verstehe. Und wie kommst du an diese Designs jetzt ran? Jetzt stelle ich mir natürlich vor Ist ja schön und gut, wenn du mir das anbietet, [00:16:00] mich da auszubilden. Ich werde vielleicht auch noch kapieren, dass ich eine Nische finde. Aber ich bin ja kein Marketing Texter, und was ich noch weniger bin, ist Grafiker. Also erstmal. Erst mal muss man schauen, was die Konkurrenz macht. Da kannst du natürlich. Sag jetzt mal ein Beispiel Gehst einfach auf Google, schaut mal die Nische an. Sagen wir mal die bionische oder mallorquinische. Und dann gibt es einfach bei Google an der findens du schon mal die ersten Designs, und [00:16:30] dann kannst du den einfachen Weg zum Beispiel einfach über ich beim Freiwerden Designer aussuchen. Da kannst du einfach T-Shirts einer Suchleiste Beifall war, und da werden die dann schon einige angezeigt. Muss ein bisschen aufpassen. Also investiere lieber erstmal ein bisschen mehr Geld in ein Rein, weil das ist das A und O in diesem Geschäft. Und das ist natürlich die Recherche Design, Recherche. Das ist 80 Prozent meiner Tätigkeit in diesem Onlineshop. Sonst [00:17:00] musst du nichts anderes machen. Die Bestellungen gehen dann automatisch, die geht automatisch zu zu der Druckerei. Das heißt, du musst ja auch nichts mehr machen. kundensupport hast du so gut wie gar nicht oder halt wenig, außer vielleicht mal ein Produkt, was irgendwie zu groß ist oder zu klein ist. So hast du wirklich nur 80 Prozent deiner Tätigkeit fast nur in Recherche von Designs angeht und so mehr du natürlich den Designer auch bezahlst. Du bekommst natürlich [00:17:30] ne beste Qualität und beste Qualität, wissen wir alle verkauft sich immer besser. Das ist klar. Womit muss ich rechnen außer den Ausbildungskosten? An Fixkosten pro Monat werden insgesamt 30 Euro kosten. Jetzt steckst du 500 Euro pro Werbeanzeige da rein. Wie viele Werbeanzeigen laufen im Monat etwa? Und wieviele Designer muss ich im Monat bezahlen? Was hab ich an laufenden Fixkosten im Monat? Ja, ich habe [00:18:00] meine größten laufenden Fixkosten sind die Werbeanzeigen. Da muss man aber selber schauen, wie viel Budget man am Anfang hat. Ich sage mal so mit zwischen tausend Euro bis zu gut dabei. Wenn du 3000 direkt investieren kann, dann stehen wir alle Türen offen. Dann bist du sehr schnell gute Umsätze wieder drinne hast. Und sonst hast du die Kosten von 30 Dollar. Bei feira bezahlst du so mal, gute [00:18:30] Designer bezahlst du zwischen fünf und zehn Dollar. Und da machst du am besten pro Design oder pro Stunde. Oder was im Endeffekt Broders sein. Aber du kannst immer mit den sprechen. Ich würde die erst kontaktieren sagen. Ich habe hier das als Inspirationsquelle. Ich möchte gerne diesen Text ausgetauscht haben, mit denen ich mich anpassen und damit das nicht kopiert, sondern nur inspiriert wurde. Und dann redest du einfach, mit denen ich mich direkt gleich fünf [00:19:00] unterschiedliche Designs haben. Mach mir bitte ein Angebot, und dann bist du da. Ich sag mal so Bei 50 Euro bist du dabei. Was hätte ich auch im Kopf? Ich bin ja auch oft auf Iver unterwegs. Kohl Wir haben vor zwei Tagen schon mal drüber gesprochen, das Konzept hat mich deswegen fasziniert, weil ich gerade jetzt, wenn ich zu Hause sitze. Ich sage ja immer Zu Hause haben die meisten nicht. Gerade jetzt machen [00:19:30] sich so viele Gedanken und kommen über den Panzerknacker zu mir. Markus Was kann ich machen? Was ist der schnellste Weg, was aufzubauen? Es ist weder wie die Faust aufs Auge, und zufällig reden wir drüber. Jetzt bauen wir das halt mal auf. Wie das funktioniert, wie wir das machen? Ich habe keine Ahnung, ich weiß es nicht, aber wir fangen an, und zwar fangen wir an, ab nächster Woche Montag, den 20. März 2020. Am Montag ist ja nicht [00:20:00] für mich jeden. Jeder Tag führt mich wie ein Sandsack an. Du sprichst mir aus der Seele, was ja doch sehr interessant ist im E-Commerce Geschäft. Das ist wirklich die Zukunft. Wenn du jetzt damit anfängt. Viele denken, es ist ja schon im Trend dieses E-Commerce. Wir sind aber sehr, sehr weit davon entfernt, als was jetzt zum Beispiel in überSee in Amerika passiert. [00:20:30] Die sind da schon viel weiter. Und wenn man jetzt mal auf diesen Zug aufspringt, ein selbstbestimmtes Leben erfüllen möchte mit E-Commerce hast du die Möglichkeit, hast überall auch so arbeiten und zu Hause auf den Malediven, wo auch immer und in drei bis fünf Jahren, wo dann wirklich alle damit anfangen. Dann bist du schon lange zu einer Weltmarke geworden. Nenne ich jetzt mal perfekte Zeitpunkt, jetzt [00:21:00] mit E-Commerce anzufangen. Wir werden das einfach tun. Es wird in Zukunft fünf oder 6000 Euro kosten, diese Ausbildung. Es werden auch nicht allzu viele Leute immer mit rein genommen. Wir werden jetzt mal eine Ausbildung nächste Woche beginnen, also bis nächste Woche kann man sich bei dir noch bewerben? Wir haben gesagt, wenn ich mal zehn, elf Leute rein. Wir haben schon sechs, sieben Plätze verkauft. Das ist witzig. Das ist auch keine künstliche Verknappung. Wir [00:21:30] haben nur noch drei oder vier Plätze frei, kostet einmalig 1500 Euro und garantiert eine Umsetzung. Solange bis 10000 Euro wieder an Gewinn zurück geflossen sind, solange stehst du an der Seite, solange hilfst du mit Optimieren. Wir machen das die Ausbildung on the fly also. Das heißt, du produziert gerade Tag und Nacht wie wild die Videos und baut das gerade auf. Ab Ende nächster Woche frühestens werden die dann ausgespielt im Wochenrhythmus. [00:22:00] Und zusätzlich gibt es noch einen wöchentlichen McCall, also ein Video Call, wo jeder zu Wort kommt, wo jeder abgegriffen wird. Hey, wo stehst du? Wo hast du Probleme? Wie können wir was verbessern? Und gerade in der nächsten Suche stehst du auch jedem Einzelnen persönlich zur Verfügung. Also zehn Leute, eine kleine Gruppe, sehr interessant, einfach um Proof of Concept abzuliefern. Und wenn noch zwei, drei Leute dabei sein möchten, panzerknacker mir das podcaster Slash Shopping. Da kommt [00:22:30] man dann einfach auf deine Seite weiter, muss sich bewerben. Wir nehmen niemanden an, der sich in allzu heftige finanzielle Notlage mit zehn tausend fünf hundert bringt. Das möchten wir nicht. Aber Leistung muss auch bezahlt werden. Es gibt monatelange Umsetzungen, was auch noch relativ cool ist. Du führst zuerst mal ein Gespräch, mit denen es wirklich bewerbung. Du kannst nicht einfach auf den Kauf drücken? Nein, ich finde es sehr wichtig, [00:23:00] weil wir gehen eine langfristige Kooperation ein. Im besten Fall wäre es natürlich schön, wenn es doch über Jahre geht, dass man zwei Jahre zusammen wächst. Und da muss natürlich die Bereitschaft erst mal da sein. Ich möchte, oder wir wollen natürlich auch gerne, dass wir die Plätze allgemein nicht nur bis wir diese 100 Plätze erreicht haben, sondern auch jeden Monat nicht nur zwischen zehn und zwölf Plätze an. Weil dann können wir zu [00:23:30] 100 Prozent auch unseren Service garantieren. Was jetzt vergessen wurde, gibt's für jeden Einzelnen gibt eine WhatsApp-Gruppe. Das kann ich ja nur zur Genüge. Ich bin selber ja auch nicht derjenige, wenn ich da ein Coaching bin und da 1000 Leute dabei. Und ich hab da jetzt irgendwie ein Problem, und ich denke, das ist eine blöde Frage, was andere Leute von mir so bekommen jetzt jeder seine eigene WhatsApp-Gruppe, wo er dann mit uns auf seine [00:24:00] Situation eingehen kann oder erklären kann. Und es kommt dann halt auch kein anderer mit, sondern bleibt dann alles ganz schön unter uns. Nochmal Du verdienst mit jedem Online-Shop mehrere tausend. Euro im Monat wie viel, musst du nicht sagen. Und du sagst klipp und klar, dass es für jeden super leicht nachzubauen. Also ich mache ja im Endeffekt ich. Ich öffne ja einfach nur mein Tagebuch. Ich meine, ich stelle jetzt gerade einen neuen Online-Shop, was dann auch jeder im Internet [00:24:30] sehen wird. Und ich gehe natürlich alle Schritt für Schritt durch. Auch für Anfänger ich mir noch nie etwas mit ONLINE Marketing zu tun haben. Ich bin ja ganz genau. Wo ist da Facebook? Wie mache ich einen Business Account? Wie mache ich eine Fanpage? Wie Wo bekomme ich mein Profil? Wo bekomme ich mein Logo her? Ich gehe alles haargenau durch. Und im Endeffekt öffentlich einfach nur mein Tagebuch. Ihr müsst einfach nur das umsetzen, was ich tue und was ich [00:25:00] sage. Und dann seid ihr auch erfolgreich. Das neueste Panzerknacker Projekt, diesmal Florian kulante. Einer aus meinem Backoffice eigentlich, der im Hintergrund mich unterstützt und mir hilft seit vielen Monaten und mit dem ich auch einen engeren Kontakt habe. Und jeder, der in die erste Gruppe mit reinkommt, wird auch noch zwei, drei weitere Leute aus dem Panzerknacker Team kennenlernen. Wir sind da alle mit dabei. Wir haben da Bock drauf gemacht haben wir es noch nicht. Aber jetzt ist die Zeit [00:25:30] da. Wer es sich leisten kann und was Neues ausprobieren möchte hier ist die Chance. Ansonsten haben wir irgendwas vergessen, was wir noch sagen müssen. Ich denke, es ist einiges anders gearbeitet. Na und? Wie gesagt, sonst gibt's ja das Beratungsgespräch noch, wo man noch seine Fragen stellen kann. Und wenn wir der Meinung sind Na, du bist jetzt noch nicht soweit, dann haben wir auch kein Problem zu sagen, wir [00:26:00] wollen alle zusammen wachsen, und wir sind erfolgreich, wenn die Teilnehmer auch erfolgreich sind. Wie gesagt Sechs letzer sind schon weg. Die sind für uns intern weggegangen, weil wir die ersten sein wollten. Sorry. An der Quelle saß der Knabe und ansonsten für alle anderen, die sich noch einen der letzten vier, drei, vier, fünf Plätze schnappen wollen Panzerknacker minus podcaster und so Ende nächster Woche. Anfang nächster [00:26:30] Woche wird das Boarding dann stattgefunden haben. Wird das alles bereit sein? Und dann geht die ganze Luzie los, und wir können die Zeit vernünftig nutzen. Und es ist was für ein Zeitaufwand haben wir pro Woche? Also gut dran, wenn man so zwischen drei bis fünf Stunden je zwei bis vier Stunden am Tag investiert. Jeden Abend unter der Woche eine Stunde von der Bad zurückkommen und sich Heilpflanzen den [00:27:00] Arsch aufreißen. Ich fange ja selber je jeden Tag an. Ich steh jeden Morgen auf, mein Konto ist gerade leer. Ich mag heute Gas geben, damit am Ende des Abends mein Konto wieder voll ist. Und wenn man zwei bis vier Stunden investiert am Tag, dann steht auch nichts im Wege. Das Schöne ist Ich möchte es nochmal betonen Du bist Sonderschüler, aber nicht dumm und hast ein perfektes Meinzer. Und das mag ich. So kann sich manch anderer eine Scheibe abschneiden. [00:27:30] Die ganze Intelligentem, die kein Geld verdient. Aber Okay das muss jeder selber wissen. Ihr habt die Koordinaten, wenn es Fragen gibt über die bekannten Kanäle, über Facebook, über E-Mail, über Backpfeife auf meiner Website, Panzerknacker, Minos, podcaster. Ich [00:05:30] habe keine Frage gerade ich möchte dir ein Kompliment aussprechen und zwar finde ich deine letzten Episoden irgendwie anders. Ich hab dich ja vor zirka drei Jahren kennengelernt, habe dann gern deine Episoden angehört von Panzerknacker Podcast, hat dann aber nach ein paar Monaten wieder aufgehört. Gewinnspiel Irgendwie. Ja, fand ich damals sowieso anders. [00:06:00] Eher ein bisschen aggressiver vom Ton her oder irgendwie. Ich kann es ja nicht mehr ganz genau sagen. Ich habe einmal Meditation, Training gemacht. Meiner Frau zuliebe. Und als die Yoga-Lehrerin dann meinte Atman deine Wurzel. Da war ich, glaube ich, der Einzige im Saal, der sich eine halbe Stunde hat konzentrieren müssen. Nicht [00:08:30] loszulassen und fast die Tränen gelaufen sind. Ich kann mich da nicht konzentrieren. Das gibt mir nichts. Nein, ich mach Persönlichkeitsentwicklung. Ich versuche, mich weiter zu entwickeln, habe aber nichts dergleichen gemacht. Ich habe mein Konzept überarbeitet, umgestellt. Es sollte damals nicht hart und aggressiv klingen. Und heute auch nicht. Was mir einige vorwerfen auf iTunes, ist, dass [00:09:00] ich arrogant rüber komme. Aber ich meine auch Das möchte ich nicht. Wenn es dem einen oder anderen arrogant ist, rüberkommt, dann tut es mir leid. Er ist aber auch eingeladen, im Podcast nichts zu hören, denn immerhin ist er ja kostenlos und kostet mich Zeit und Geld. Also ja, oder? Ich mache mit der ein oder andere, beschwert sich. Ich mache ja nur eine Selbstdarstellung, und es geht nur um Werbung und Verkauf. Und ja, wenn du seuss, wenn es im einen oder anderen nicht gefällt, dann ist er eingeladen [00:09:30] zu gehen und es dem einen oder anderen wie dir gefällt, dann bist du auch eingeladen zu bleiben. Dieses Buch gibt [00:10:30] es kostenlos bei Google Books. Das heißt einfach bei Google signifikat Objekts E-Book eingeben. Und dann kommt gleich das erste Suchergebnis oben ist das E-Book bei Google Books völlig gratis lesen. Gewinnspiel Ich denke, den ein oder anderen könnte der Tipp vielleicht interessieren. Ich kenne das Original Buch nicht deswegen wer von dir cheek ganz cool, ob das tatsächlich ist? Original. Logisch, ob es die richtige Länge hat, ob das nur ein Ausdruck ist oder was auch immer. Aber ich denke, sonst wäre das eine ganz lohnende Sache, das vielleicht kurz weiterzugeben. Ich [00:11:00] muss sagen, das war schon. Ich persönlich bin jetzt gerade drauf unter bux Google Punkt sehr und hab dann signifikant Objects eingegeben. Ich hoffe ich habe alles richtig gemacht. Erkenntnisse in diesem Buch. Links ist das Bild mit Einkaufspreis und Verkaufspreis, und rechts ist dann die Geschichte. Und nein, das ist es nicht. Ja, vielleicht kannst du es nochmal prüfen. Vielleicht habe ich ja etwas falsch gemacht. Hier kann man auch noch nach rechts, und dann rutscht das einzeln runter. Nein, die haben ungefähr nur so [00:15:00] zehn, elf Seiten drin. Und das wars. Und das Buch hat weit über hundert Seiten. Dennoch Danke für den Tipp. Google Books war mir nicht bekannt. Ich werde. Ist es auch ich werde mal recherchieren und dann gucken wir mal, ob wir damit vielleicht auch Geld verdienen können oder Geld sparen können, was ja sehr wichtig ist oder ob wir daraus lernen können. Ja, Münchens Kinder, das [00:15:30] war's schon wieder für heute. Aber drei Sachen abgearbeitet. Also, wir haben tatsächlich einen Gewinner. Ich habe das mit einem Zufallsgenerator online aufgezeichnet, damit er auch keine Fragen rauskommt. Ich kann es leider nicht online stellen. Es sind ja alle Namen drauf und alle Email. This is the second part in a two-part series on women speaking, focusing today on our actual voices and how they are heard (or not heard) by our bias-filled culture. There is a ton of research showing that women and men are perceived differently when we speak, and that's both socially wired and generational. Like in so many parts of the economy, women are held to an impossible standard where you lose no matter what: either you're too assertive or you're not assertive enough. You're not authoritative enough or you're bossy. Good software testing strategy is one of the best ways to save developer time and shorten software development delivery cycle time. Software test suites grow from small quick suites at the beginning of a project to larger suites as we add tests, and the time to run the suites grows with it. Fortunately, pytest has many tricks up it's sleave to help shorten those test suite times. Niklas Meinzer is a software developer that recentely wrote an article on optimizing test suites. How can horse owners protect themselves and their operation from liability in the event an injury occurs? My friend Alicia Meinzer is an attorney in Weatherford, Texas who practices in equine law and is a horse owner and enthusiast. When I thought about doing this type of podcast, she was the first person to come to my mind. It was late July in the Texas Badlands, a time of year Wyman Meinzer says turns his home into a "hell hole of a place." We sat in his living room drinking whiskey and talking politics. We were both sweating a bit despite the best efforts of the air conditioning, but managing to get a few laughs in between fits of intense conversation meant to solve the world's problems. Wyman and his wife Sylinda had spent the day with three of their grandchildren, leaving the house cluttered with dolls, juice boxes and the like. Just another sign of changing times for my friend Wyman. He's 67 now and gone are the days when he lived in the old dugout, trapping coyotes and bobcats. Gone are the wild days when he crashed planes and crawled into rattlesnake dens. Things are slower now in Benjamin, Texas, and Wyman is enjoying telling his story rather than furiously writing more chapters. He doesn't mind petting the cat, drinking some whiskey and just talking. He's got enough stories to tell that he and I could fill a lifetime of evenings like this, and I'd be happy to do just that. Sadly, I don't get all that much time with Wyman, so I'm happy to have recorded this podcast. I'll listen back to it quite often I'm sure, when I'm in need of a reminder of what hard work means and how much I can still achieve in this life. In this episode we cover just about all of Wyman's life and times, and gathered some perspective on how he made it. Enjoy. Wyman Meinzer is the only official State Photographer of Texas, named so in 1997 by the Texas State Legislature and then Gov. George W. Bush, an honor he still holds today. He was raised on the League Ranch, a 27,000-acre ranch in the rolling plains of Texas. Since then, he has traveled to every corner of this great state and all points in between in search of the first and last rays of sunlight in its magnificent sweep across the Texas landscape. Meinzer graduated from Texas Tech in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Management and was voted Outstanding Alumnus in 1987 by the department of Range and Wildlife Management at Texas Tech University. He also received the Distinguished Alumnus award in 1995 from the School of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. In august of 1999, Meinzer was honored to give the graduation commencement address at his alma matter Texas Tech University. During his 12 years as adjunct instructor in communications at Texas Tech University, Wyman was selected as Agriculture Communications Teacher of the Year in 2005. In 2009 he received the Distinguished Alumnus award from Texas Tech University in recognition of outstanding achievement and dedicated service. Post graduation Wyman spent five years as a professional predator hunter on the big ranches of the rolling plains. During this period he worked to perfect his photographic skills and now, after 33 years as a professional photographer, Wyman has photographed and /or written 24 large format books, and his images have appeared on more than 250 magazine covers throughout America. His images have appeared in Smithsonian, National Geographic Books, Natural History, Ebony, Time, Newsweek, U.S. News and World Report, Audubon, Sports Afield, Field and Stream, Outdoor life, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas Highways, Korea GEO, German GEO, Das Tier, Airone, Horzu, BBC Wildlife, and a host others.
