Oh, what a world we live in. Johnathan E. shares his thoughts on the news of the day. Important things like Adele's canceled shows at Caesar's Palace. Joe Biden calling a dumb SOB, a dumb SOB. Cancel Culture Club. Oh, yeah, there was something about a looming war, with an unlikely alliance between Ireland, Spain and Ukraine.
Johnathan E. ponders the news of the day, including Mitch McConnell's moment of speaking truth; Spain taking on Putin; Tonga volcano & tsunami; and 5G doom of air safety.
Johnathan E. is back. This week in review has a look at sports figures who don't think the rules apply to them. He also opines about Kim Jong Un's ED problem, the Rule of Three, and The Big Game.
Welcome to week 2 of 2022. Johnathan E. has some thoughts on prison sentences with 100 years shaved off; child predators being convicted by victims of child predators; worship of rapists in the NFL; and an update on the horrendous Marshall Fire.
This week, Johnathan E. has some thoughts about 6000 acres of hell in Colorado, as well as the outcome of Ghislaine Maxwell's trial. And what would the week in review be, without assessing the latest maneuvers of Vladimir Putin?
Happy Holidays from MHTCB! Johnathan E. has a few things to say about Joe Manchin, Vladimir Putin's aggression towards Ukraine; excessive prison sentences; and the capital crime of having a car air freshener in Minnesota.

Johnathan E. shares his hot takes on current events, both local and elsewhere, in this week's podcast.
Johnathan E. is back with his assessment of current events, both local and elsewhere, in this weeks podcast.
We're on the verge of a new year, and also a new format for our podcast. Johnathan E. is doing a Week In Review. Weekly. Enjoy his pompous persona shredding the news, and newsmakers.
Apparently, the world's billionaires have too much time, money, and privilege on their hands. So instead of using their money to make the world a better place, they are trying to escape the hellhole humanity has created on planet Earth, even if just for a few minutes. And hey, they can charge other millionaires for the privilege of going along for the ride. Then, in a tale of a trip made by normal humans, we get to hear about the adventures of one of the Mile High Theater Comedy Broadcast players on his summer vacation.
Mile High Theater Comedy Broadcast is back! Now that the danger of sharing infectious droplets amongst the MHTCB cast has abated for the moment, Johnathan E. once again regales us with his take on history. This time, we examine the origins of everybody's favorites, banking and insurance. Enjoy!
Johnathan E. has a creepy story to tell. It happened one dark winter night. In a basement. Where he was alone. Working. So pull up a mug of cocoa, and listen to his tale of an encounter with...something.
Pandemic time has been a time of creativity for Johnathan E. For today's episode, Johnathan took inspiration from a previous podcast written by MHTCB player Eric Sprinkle, "The Propaganda Channel." The sketch was entitled "Magoria Fuss: Ghost Whisperer." Johnathan and I watch our fair share of stupid ghost hunting reality shows, and he has melded his impression of these shows with Eric's character, Magoria Fuss. Magoria has a new TV show, wherein she finds previously living beings who are making trouble for the living, and puts them to work. Enjoy!
The episode that started it all. Johnathan E and I had a conversation about how if our coworker were one of the seven dwarfs, his name would be Gropey. That remark became the inspiration for the first episode of Mile High Theater Comedy Broadcast. The podcast was first written in 2013, and the first iteration was published in 2015. Here we are five years later, and Johnathan E has cleaned up the original files, written a new intro, and sent me the remastered episode for publication. It's a classic, and our voice over actors Johnathan E, Eric Sprinkle and Kent Ingram got the podcast off to a rollicking good start.
As our loyal listeners know, Johnathan E. is a history major. A history guy. A history maven. But not a buff. Never a buff. As such, he has been a watcher of the History Channel for, what, decades? It's been sad for him to watch as any semblance of history or historical content or historic analysis has been sucked out of said channel and replaced by...reality TV? Really? So, in this episode, Johnathan E. tees off on what is a poor substitute for actual history programming, with hilarious results.
Here is the second Mile High Theater Comedy Broadcast podcast, originally published in 2015. It's been spruced up a little thanks to Johnathan E's ever-improving technical skills. Johnathan E used to be quite a football fan, which will show in his incisive slams. But really, as anyone who watches the Super Bowl will tell you, it's all about the commercials. Oh, the commercials. Enjoy!
As Johnathan E. was accessing his memories for our previous episode, Taco Bell Therapy, he stumbled across this little gem in his memory banks. Enjoy the story of Taco Bell Joe and his big idea. No spoilers.
Johnathan E. gets some therapy to help heal some of the pain, trauma and regrets from his stint at Taco Bell...and we get to go along as he free-associates his way to closure.
Relax and enjoy the latest installment of Mile HIgh Theater Comedy Broadcast. In it you will find some poems, and a story by Edward Joseph Chol, grandfather of the creator of our podcast, Johnathan E. Story was published in the Rocky Mountain News about 100 years ago! Johnathan E. puts his spin on the retelling of the tale about a dog.
What if somebody not only found Bigfoot, but could understand Bigfoot's language? Join Edward Murrow Jr. Jr. and discover what's happening in the mysterious world of Bigfoot.
After our summer hiatus, we're back at it, with another parody of the Murder Channel. This episode might well be subtitled "Seven Degrees of Fort Carson." Detective Joe Blenda, Homicide Finder Guy, does not tolerate fools gladly. Hear Blenda recount this story about the murder of a clown, in between the commercials and promos.
In this episode, we have a few laughs at the expense of people in difficult situations; millenials on a date; what's really happening to the tax revenue from cannabis sales; and the MHTCB perennial favorite, advertising.
In our latest installment of Fractured Flashbacks, we take a look at the legend of Pocahantas, and how history has whitewashed and rewritten the story so somebody could make a buck. Based on an article on grunge.com by Becky Robins.
Today's episode features four unrelated sketches, from lunch ladies to a James Bond movie set. Get a front-row seat at a meeting of the Flat Earth Society, and meet some spies with identity crises. Today's vignettes were written by Eric Sprinkle and Johnathan E.
Take a trip down memory lane with Johnathan E. and his old pal David. Explore the depths of stupidity on RubeTube. Find out what Johnathan E. discovers on the "Dark Web." And imagine with us if "Gomer Pyle, USMC" acknowledged the reality of the Marine Corps during the 1960s when it was on the air.
You may remember Bill Detritus from a previous episode, The Propaganda Channel. What happened to Bill after his interaction with his computerized companion, Annette? How much worse can it get? We can only imagine.
Some of us are old enough to remember when there were only three TV networks. Journey with us to the 20th century and enjoy a simpler, more innocent time, with some laughs along the way.
We couldn't resist the chance to roast cooking competitions. Enjoy our saucy treatment as we skewer this genre of reality TV. This week's episode was written by Johnathan E. and Mary M.
We all know it's true....creativity in Hollywood has gone the way of the dodo. But is it by design? We here at MHTCB think it is. Enjoy this meeting of the uber-powerful behind the world of "entertainment."
Join us in the Mile High Theater Lounge for our Poetry Slam. We look at poetry through the ages, as well as commercialization of the creative process and writer's block. Enjoy this homage to The Muse, to whom we all owe thanks for our inspiration.
Doing more of what we do best: Mashing things up. Or should I say mangling? Remember when television was so squeaky clean and innocent? It's a distant memory, especially when you hear today's episode....Dateline: Juneberry.
Some of us are old enough to remember the late-night movie that would follow the local news on our TV boxes. This episode is an homage to those home-grown programs from before the age of Netflix and YouTube, or even video rentals. Damn, we're old.
This is one silly episode. Try and keep up with the action, if you dare.
Eric Sprinkle wrote this episode about a Travel Agency...a Time Travel Agency. What could happen if people were traveling to different eras and bumping into each other inappropriately in the process? What if they got caught in a time loop? We'll have a look at the possibilities.
Inspired by our nephew, Matt Schiff, this episode is a mashup of psychiatry and the Family Feud game show. Meet Family Id, who let it all hang out all over the place, and Family Ego, who are trying just a little too hard to act normal. This episode was written by Johnathan E, Mary M and Eric Sprinkle.
In this episode, we take a look at what a cookout with the neighbors might have looked like a couple of thousand years ago, give or take.
The Propaganda Channel by Mile High Theater Comedy Broadcast
We here at Mile High Theater like to mash it all up. Imagine there was American-style football in ancient Rome. Imagine the Romans had the ability to broadcast the action from the Coliseum over the air. And the commercials. Oh, the commercials.
